This shoe is great. The brown color is rich and the heel for me was just right. And the foot bed was nicely padded, but I had to return them with a broken heart because the shoe was way too wide for my foot, even though my order was placed with the (M) I received a (MW) instead. I was really hesitant to actually return them and thought to myself over and over again I have to return them because they will get even wider. And so I eventually did.

Just as I thought...love the Ava sandals! I must admit I was drawn to these because they remind me of some I had in the '70s. Very comfortable, I normally wear size 6.5 but ordered a 7 and they fit perfectly.

I bought these as an upgrade, style-wise, from some Danskos. I went with black. I like their look quite a bit. They are surprisingly comfortable for walking but I do occasionally get a bit of a rub from the toe straps. I bought a 9 but I'm usually an 8.5 and they are just a tiny bit big so I think they run a bit smallish. Wish they came in half sizes.

Wore this style back in college - 1977! Best shoe ever and had to have them again! Wish they were a bit more comfortable. The straps rub and bit and I wore them too long the first time and got a blister. But the style is so amazing and they're "breaking in" so I give them a 4. Don't shy away from them, just know what to expect!

The shoes are cut narrow and small. I usually wear a 7 and had to return for an 8. They are comfy and lightweight.

Cute shoes and overall they are comfortable. While there's a platform, the heel height is nicely moderate. The back strap tends to move down on my heel, but the top strap keeps everything secure. The one negative is that the buckle stitching on one foot was very rough and rubbed my skin off. So I've pasted moleskin over the stitching on both sides and haven't had any problems since.

Once I stuck some moleskin on the front straps, these sandals were a dream! I am the queen of summer blisters, so I wasn't surprised by my need for a little protection. I love the neutral color and the organic look of the cork!

Love these shoes! Super cute, fit well but they are a bit heavy and as someone who is not used to wearing such high platforms, I find that I need to be careful going down stairs. Definitely worth it though--flattering, comfy and cute.

I loved the way this shoe looks and felt the first time I wore it, it felt comfortable though I didn't stand much. The second time I was on my feet for several hours and got blisters on my toes (this was a week ago, not completely healed yet!) I was so disappointed, since they fit well this was unexpected.

I love these shoes. They are extremely comfortable. I normally wear an 8.5, but had to buy the 9 in this shoe - the 8.5 seemed too narrow. The only negative is that the light colored soles got dirty immediately. My brand new shoes now have black marks all over them, just from driving my car once. I have black pair that are over a year old, and they still look fabulous. My recommendation would be to order one of the darker versions of the shoe.

Perfect. The perfect platform when you want to make the statement about platforms. Fits true if a bit tight. Firm, so there is not a lot of give when you walk. Looks amazing.

Attractive shoe, comfortable sole. However, leather upper is a little stiff; it left a small blister on one toe.

Great shoes but a few issues. 1) They took a few days to break in. They were very tight when I first got them but have stretched out after several wears. 2) They're comfy but are not as comfy as I'd expect from a brand that sells itself as a comfort brand. 3) They are not as stable as I'd hoped. The sole of the shoe is more narrow than the footbed so it takes some balance to walk in them. But other than that they are super cute, go with anything, and are perfect for my casual work wardrobe! They're great shoes, just not what I expected for the price.

This is a nice, true brown. shoe is a super comfortable height, and great style for dressy or casual. The straps felt like they might stretch out with wear, the footbed was rather narrow so I am sending these back. thanks Zappos, for being the best!

I love these shoes! They have a great 70s style to them, and are comfortable (though a bit stiff for walking -- something I had to get used to). I wish I had the higher heel version too.

It's very cute and stylish with the long skirts I tend to wear, but they kill my feet. The leather is really hard. They run narrow and do not stretch. I am a medium width average size 8 and wow these things kill. The worst part is the foot bed. It's supposed to be lined with cork and soft but it is way smaller than the shoe size, and your foot extends beyond it's edges. Consequently, it bears into the sole of your foot and after an hour or so.

I love them. They're very comfortable. They just look a little bulky. So, if you have big feet, they might not look good on.

1st time I wore them, they gave me some blisters on my toes.. The wedge is comfortable though and stylish. I would say if you like the style buy them, but they are pricey.

I love these shoes and they are very comfortable and the fit is perfect, true to size. The only problem I encountered is that the elastic under the buckle started to stretch and come undone after wearing them just twice. Zappos quickly replaced them, no questions asked. I had a new pair the next day. So far, no problems with the elastic on the new pair, and I'm hoping it stays that way. I also purchased them in brown.

Love the look of this shoe but it feels tight but not enough to get the next size. It does t come in half sizes or I'd go up. Some Kori-ease just fit this way so I have them at the shoe repair for stretching. Wish me luck 'cause I'm a Kork-Ease fan.

I wanted very much to love these shoes but they just did not work. The fact that they don’t offer half sizes made the 7 much too small for my usual 7-1/2 size foot. While the sole felt nice and padded, the padding ends about 1/4” from the front of the shoe which makes it feel awkward, almost like your foot is hanging off the shoe. I have a very narrow foot but the leather felt quite snug and definitely wasn’t soft like some of their other leather shoes, but perhaps that would change with time. One last thing to point out was the rounded ness of the shoe, it some how made the shoe look a bit too juvenile. Odd description, I know, but it’s the best way I can describe it.

The color was not as light as it is in the picture - more of a dark tan. They were a little tight and I didn't think after some wearing they would give but I sure do think they're cute. Also - I don't remember the ones from the 70's being made in China :(

The shoe was extremely unorfortable. They were very tight across the toes which caused pain.

I am so disappointed. Was so excited to be getting these as they look just like the ones I loved in the 70's! They are cute as can be but too narrow an hurt the small bunion on my left foot. I am a size 7, the length was perfect.

Typically wear 8.5. With no half sizes, got the 8. Definitely too small - toes want to slide right off the front end. Pretty sure a 9 would be too sloppy. I ordered the Ava 2.0. Hoping for better luck.
