It seems the Darcie boot is intended to be a statement shoe, especially in red, so if different iswhat you are looking for then these boots are for you. I liked them on Chloe Seveigny paired with her black coat and black leggings but for me, though, they unfortunately stand out a little too much for my liking. also I felt that the style was confused like there is too much going on with the clog-combat-vintage boot-comfort shoe vibes all meshed together into one. I also found the rubber sole under the ball of the foot un-attractive and not in keeping with the stacked heel. I generally love docs, but these just did not work out for me

Zappos has unbelievable customer service, the people and how quickly items ship are unbelievable. These boots suck big time! They would be so awesome if the leather was not so cheap, stiff and plastic-like! Where is the quality of the olden days? I got the Phinas a couple years ago, great soft leather, but these are awful! They went back the next day.

I bought these in white for my wedding and I bought the same size I wear in oxfords (UK 7). Big mistake! I could barely get my foot in them. I unlaced them all the way and they killed the arch of my foot. I am very disappointed Dr. Martens but as always Zappos has amazing service.

Awful boots! I was 100% disappointed in my favorite Dr. Martens brand! Those particular boots are as hard as wood-clamps on your feet, & just as "comfortable"! Returned!
