Fits like a glove. My bunions are quite painful, these are incredibly comfortable shoes. Unfortunately, none of Arche shoes actually have an arch built in - no support. Think they could have used a better zipper, a little difficult to close and open. For this price I expect near perfection. I don't think these will work for walking all day, but for a few hours they are just fine and look great.

Comfort in footwear is very important to me, but so is style. While I knew the reputation of Arche for comfort, until recently I thought many of the shoes were more quirky than stylish. Baryky however are quite trendy and so comfortable. They are terrific for those days when you have to be on your feet a lot but still want to look good.

I loved the look of these, but they are just too flimsy for travel/lots of walking in November. Too expensive to worry about wearing out quickly, so returning.

Beautiful fit for my narrow foot. Probably the most comfortable, supple boots I have ever worn. I’ve had mine for years. They do scuff easily, so be warned, but if comfort is your thing, these could be for you.

I love this brand, I first found them in Paris back in 1983 and bought two pairs of similar boots and a bag. This is the only brand I've ever found that feels bespoke. There is no "break-in" time and they feel like gloves for your feet, the leather is so supple. I do have two quibbles: 1) the fact that once the soles are worn down you cannot have them resoled, and 2) they are trop cher. Any Arche purchase is an investment and not something to be taken lightly. That said I have never loved a brand of shoes more! This style is no exception, from the second I put them on, they felt so familiar and my feet thanked me.

This boot fits perfectly; my other pair is a little worn so treated myself to a new pair!

These Arche booties are "butter soft leather"......the fit was perfect....I am a 7 1/2.....and the 38 was great. They are so comfortable and look really stylish.

This is a lovely and comfortable bootie. This is my second pair; the first pair, bought in my regular size (37) was difficult to put on. It definitely ran small. I have worn Arche shoes for years and have not experienced this issue. The first pair was NOT purchased from Zappos, and I could not return them. So I eventually got them to stretch. I bought this shoe from Zappos in size 38 (I am 6.5 size). If fits fine. I put a small orthatic in the shoe for extra arch support. This shoe is made in Croatia, not France, as mentioned in the description. My recent Arche shoes have not been made in France. Maybe the description should be altered. The booties are beautiful and I am happy with them...

One of the best shoes out there - have to try a pair to understand the comfort & craftsmanship. Very happy to make the investment as these shoes go the miles.

These are my absolute favorite Arche boots. Extremely comfortable for walking, look great with jeans, and run on the wider side. Many Arche shoes are a bit narrow for my feet but these have plenty of room in the toe. My third pair!

Fits great! Soft soft leather! Wish for $400 they had a little more style but they are so light in weight and comfortable I’m so satisfied!!

This is my third pair of Arche boots, and I love, love, love them! Comfortable, warm, stylish and fine in a light rain. Also lightweight so great for travel. i am a fan!

Greatest shoe around

These are beautiful boots, but too small for my size.

I really love the Baryky. But, as other reviewers have noted, do not get the leather. It is like a THIN leather veneer and peels off very easily. It’s disconcerting after spending $400. My first pair was nubuck and I was thrilled with them until I spilled olive oil one night while making dinner and after my efforts to clean them failed I brought them to my local shoe repair shop and they cleaned them. They came back without the stain but also with a smooth finish like leather and not nubuck. That was okay but they were also stretched out after whatever they put them through. I got rid of them. But I liked the style so much that I bought a leather pair. In no time at all the leather peeled off. The store replaced them but the same thing happened to the replacement pair. I still wear them but they are really shabby....and not in a chic way. Last year I bought a pair of brown nubuck. I don’t wear them while I’m cooking. Just recently I bought the gray and love them. The style is so simple and elegant. The sole is rubber and soundless. I love that.

Very nice, comfortable, great leather but weird fit. The 7 was too big and the 6 too small. I need arch support in all my shoes and I just couldn't get the right combination of shoe and insert to work. Too bad.

Love the boot but the 6 was too small and the 7 was way too big.

This was my first time buying Arche's, which I always understood to be known for their quality and comfort. I like the soft leather of this boot. I also liked the shape of the foot portion of the boot...it's a bit unusual looking..almost half-moon shaped. The overall weight of the boot is extremely light. I typically wear a size 6 1/2 shoe. I ordered this in a 37 or US size 6. I wear a medium-weight wool sock with this...not super thin, but not super thick either. I find that my heel slightly slips up when I walk in these boots, so seeing as I typically wear a 6 1/2 shoe, yet bought these in size 6, I'd say they run a half to full size large. This boot has 'zero' support imho. I don't feel any arch support, and due to the lack of 'structure' of the boot...the very soft leather...the lack of 'hard' seams, etc., well...this boot feels like what I would imagine your typical 'Ugg' boot to feel like. (I've never owned Uggs, but you know how most people who walk around in the 'standard' style of Ugg almost look like they are wearing 'house slippers'? That's what these boots feel like when I am wearing them...or what I imagine a 'sock shoe' might feel like....those thick 'boiled wool' socks that have a leather bottom, and which some folks wear around the house in the winter time. So in other words, these don't feel like 'street shoes' really. As for the zipper in the back, you don't even realize it's there once you have the boot on. There is no rubbing at all, or pressure, against the back of your heel, which is a good thing!

Argh. I just type a whole review and it disappeared! So I'll make it fast... Shape of 'foot' is very unusual and funky, so that aspect I love! No arch support. For me it ran a full size too large. boot has no real form or structure...it's just a piece of really soft leather on top of a rubber sole. I therefore don't get what the high price is for as it didn't seem to require much workmanship. walking in this boot, it doesn't feel like a 'street shoe' but more like you are wearing a 'house slipper' (or what I'd imagine it might feel like, walking around in the classic style of Ugg boots...just zero support around the foot...) zipper that runs down back of heel well designed insofar as it is not uncomfortable on my heel nor causes any discomfort. but...not sure I'd buy arche again...not at these prices.

Beautiful boots. Not easy to find red boots especially in size 5. Zipper very hard to zip and at this price I will pass sadly.

Wonderful leather and very confortable but the top of the boot where it reaches the calf is WAY too narrow. Too bad, back it goes.

Considering the reputation Arche has for being comfort shoes, and shoes that 'smart people' wear, I am extremely disappoiinted in the supposed 'quality' of these. Sure, the appearance of this boot is pretty cool. I love the somewhat unusual shape at the toe. And yes, the leather is very soft and supple. But that's where it ends. There is ZERO 'form' to this shoe. It's as if they simply took a piece of leather...cut it into a shape...added a zipper to join the two cut ends...and then simply glued it on top of a rubber sole. Let's face it...once you have the pattern design made for the leather, all it involves is sourcing the leather, cutting the shape, adding a zipper and then glueing it all to a rubber sole base. There is no real cobbler or 'shoe design' going into the making of this. And for this, they charge over $400?? This was my first time buying an Arche shoe, and perhaps my last. I only realized how bad these boots were after wearing them a few times. Like I said, ZERO support. Also, because these is no real 'shoe' here...no true form to the boot ...it's simply a piece of very soft leather around your foot...this means there is nothing to hold your foot in place as you walk. While my shoes were the correct size for me, the lack of shoe forrm and the ultra soft, pliable leather means that as you walk, your foot may shift around slightly inside the boot, which can cause friction on the soles of your feet. I do not recommend anyone buy these boots....certainly not at the $444 or whatever price. I might be willing to pay $60 or so for these (for the cute style), but at $444 is is 'robbery'.

this is not the shoe i ordered it should have zipped in back instead of side and should not have been in suede. very uncomfortable
