I love these boots! This is my fourth pair (I'm a high mileage trekker). Glad they come in the D width too.

These are the most popular Lowa's. I ordered wide and they fit in general, but creased across the top of my foot when I stepped. This was uncomfortable.

This is my second pair. My last pair lasted about 5 years. They are fairly light and breathe so were very comfortable even in the tropics. I am glad that they did not make any changes to the shoe in terms of fit since I loved my first pair. I appreciate the full toe box. It has plenty of room for my full length orthotics.

Got mine today! Fit is true to the size. I got 2 pair: 9.5 and 10 to choose from. Both feel great, but I'm keeping a bigger one, because seems a little bit wider. Very comfortable, GREAT quality! Recommend! I bought it for my trip to Costa Rica that's coming up; they will be PERFECT for that trip!

Great shoes! Didn't have to break them in. Hiked 12 miles without any problem. Great fit, supported by wide feet with flat arches.

I've had these boots for about 3 years and wear them every day to work. Our floors at work are concrete or metal. They are the first boots I have gotten that don't hurt my feet. The soles are still like new. Love them!

We've had unusually cold weather in central Arkansas this year with frozen precipitation. These boots serve me well walking three small dogs. They are comfortable, have good traction, are waterproof and warm. I wear a 9 in this type shoe and it fits well. I have a bunion on one foot and it is no problem even though this boot is regular width. Worth the money!

Great boot for walking and hiking. My husband got his first and said I should get a pair too. Good ankle support and comfortable. I can't wait to get out there more to use them, although they are great in the snow because the snow doesn't stick to them.

I just got back from a hiking trip in Moab. Loved these boots, they are light, but great support. So glad I bought them.

I have owned a pair of these boots for 4 years and hiked over rough rocky, wet terrain, probably 200 miles. And a lot of that was through water at least 2 inches high. These continue to be waterproof, were broken in from the start, and are lightweight yet sturdy to hike in. They also feel pretty good at gripping rock and dealing with wet beach rock (as much as a shoe can). The perfect laces! I love these boots and believe me, I've tried them all!

Check out Marmot rainjackets...extremely waterproof wash after wash!! And a lot of good zipper pockets.

My husband ordered a pair, and when he got them, he said they were the best boots in the world, I gotta admit I was jealous, so I ordered a pair, I normally wear a 6 1/2. But when I received them, they felt a little big, so I reordered a 6, they fit great. Thanks.

I absolutely love these hiking boots. If you do any hiking or just plain going out in the bad weather, these are the one's for you. I have used them for after ski boots and also just going around town when the weather is muddy. I do plan on using them for hiking this spring and summer.

The boots are great. I had purchased a pair of Lowa boots in Idaho several years ago, and the soles are worn flat, but couldn't find them locally in stores here. They are even nicer than my old ones and extremely comfortable from day one, no breaking in. Lowa is a little pricier than some but well worth the money. Zappos delivered them in 2 days.

Length seemed OK, but they were pretty narrow. I ordered my normal size in a WIDE, but the shoe still rubbed on both sides of my foot near the ball of the foot. The shoe it self is nice otherwise.

Not as narrow as I expected. I wear a AA and this felt more like a B, especially in the heel, where I most need the narrow width. But, a 3/4 length insole/insert filled in the heel space enough that I think I will be able to wear them.

I have not worn these boots yet out into the woods actually doing some hiking. So keep that in mind when reading this reviews. I ordered the wide width in this boot, as I have custom orthotics and read other reviews that said the shoe runs narrow. I would have to agree with that. I wear the boot with both a liner and a hiking sock, and with that the comfort is fine. It will be interesting to see how durable and supportive the boot is once it is tested in terrain. So far, out of the boots I have tried, it is the most comfortable. However many other reviews complain of lack of durability. I did purchase knowing this, because few woman's hiking boots offer the option of ordering a wide width. Vasque and LL Bean being two others that I have tried, for wide width orders. My only complaint about Zappos is that once boots are worn outside they cannot be returned. This might not be such an issue with shoes, but it is a huge issue when considering ordering a hiking boot or shoe from them. Most you simply cannot tell they will work for you until you use them outside for a bit. Keep this also in mind when ordering, as other companies do allow you to return the boots, whenever, for a full refund. That aside Zappos customer service is excellent in my opinion.

I wear a 7.5 N and tried many hiking boots before settling on this one. I like the soft padding around the ankle, which is low cut enough in the back that you can move your foot around. Looks truly durable and waterproof. A little pricey, though, hence 4 stars.

Wide size fits very well, a bit larger than street size, is very comfortable. Lots of room for cushiony hiking socks. Leather is thick and stiff and needs wearing in. Needs waterproofing spray for outer leather but my foot stayed dry walking through shallow water and snow.

There's no doubt that these are well-made boots. But be aware that the "narrow" really is more like an American "medium." This is not a low-volume boot, though the heel is narrow. It is a flexible waterproof, day-hiking boot.

I have never gotten a blister with these boots, but if I wear them on the sidewalk or on a road for any distance, they cause pains in my feet. They have support, but no cushion to them. They are fine on dirt, like a trail. I recently took them hiking on very steep, rocky ground. It was only a 5 mile hike round-trip, very rough ground. My toes hurt quite a lot as we were coming back down the mountain, and when I got back, both my big toe nails were dark from being seriously bruised under the nail. 3 weeks later, they are still healing (hoping the nails don't fall off!). The toe box is clearly too small. I think I needed to get a whole size larger than normal. Go a size up! These never soften up, so don't expect them to stretch or break-in.

These were the only hiking boots that I could find that were listed as narrow but they did not feel very narrow. They were also long for a size 10. The other thing that i did not like was that they are hard to lace tightly. It pretty much takes 4 hands to tie them tightly.

I ordered these based on rave reviews but was disappointed. The toe box is too narrow, unlike the wider Keen toe box. The arch support felt fine but my little toes were pressed by the sides of the boot. Too bad. I am still in search of the perfect light hiker. I used to buy Keen's but they "improved the style and now it doesn't fit right. I have also tried Merrell with no success. If I find a good boot with a wide toe box, narrow heel, good arch support, gusseted tongue to keep the desert sand out, durable sole and good padding, I will definitely write a review. In the meantime, it's back to reading reviews.

I've been wearing these for years, and recently ordered my 5th or 6th pair. When they arrived, I was disappointed to find that they are smaller than the old pair (even though I ordered the same size). I will return them and order a larger pair, but I wish they hadn't messed with perfection!
