Great shoe! I love the look of this shoe - especially the patent! I have received so many compliments on them. The only minor issue is that although they are the most comfortable shoes in the world when I first step into them, after a couple hours of wear they start to hurt a bit along the sides of my feet - feels like pressure. I usually have to kick them off when I'm sitting to give my feet relief after awhile. I'm thinking that will alleviate after several more wears. Otherwise, I still love them.

Very comfy, but a little bit dangerous for klutzes like me - These shoes are, without a doubt, my favorite shoes ever. They look beautiful, are incredibly comfortable, and match with everything. I have been wearing them every day since I got them. With that said, here's the big however: because of the way the shoes are designed, your heel is supposed to lift up and down with every step. I knew that when I bought them and I think it's a great, comfortable feature… but when I went to turn around yesterday, my heel slipped out of the shoe and I fell over my own two feet injuring my left foot. I’ll live, but it's painful right now. Will this stop me from wearing my Danskos? Absolutely not! Will I be more careful? You bet! Still, these are the most amazing shoes! Perfect for lots of walking whether it's outside or in the office. They come with my highest recommendation. Just be careful!

Soo cute! This style shoe came recommended to me since I am on my feet all day in a hospital. I have to say that after wearing them for a few days, I was trying to sell them. Everything hurt from my feet to my back. After trying different types of socks and after a week, they now are pretty comfortable. By the end of a 10 hr shift however, my feet hurt on the sides. I still would consider getting another pair but would probably get the next size up.

Almost Perfect! A good friend had a pair of these Dansko shoes so I just had to get a pair also. I have a high arch and this tends to cut into the top of my foot, but other than that they are perfect. Very comfortable and could walk miles in these. The best part is that unlike other clogs, these stay on securely. The patent makes they stand out above the others. Very classy and perfect with pants and also skirts/jumpers and tights.

Dansko and Zappos - The shoe is ok....I had another pair this exact size and the fit is different than the pair I bought....that was a disappointment. However, I love your company and website. Your customer service is second to none.

Not Great - I had only heard great things about Dansko shoes...how comfortable they are. They must not be meant for everybody's feet. 1 year later they still have not broken in; they are really tight around the arch.

Patent professional - I like the look of this shoe, but it quite too heavy for me. I still not breaking yet (at home) and hurting my upper bone but I want give another change so I still thinking and thinking before I should return or not.

Good All-Around Shoes - This brand was recommended to me by someone who had a pair for 3 years and they looked great. With the exception of my big toe hitting the front of the shoe (my problem, I think), these shoes are very comfortable. Surprising though, because they are heavy. You wouldn't think they would be comfortable, but they are (more on the bottom of the foot). They look casual but sophisticated due to the patent leather. They really dress up your weekend jeans/sweater outfit and look well-made and expensive. I recommend them.

Great Look, Takes time to break in - I love the look of these Dansko shoes. But unlike my suede and oily Danskos these patent shoes are a bit stiff and hurt my pinky toes. It will take time to break them in... so be patient.

The open back clog is more comfortable - I purchased the Sonja clog as an alternative to my other open back Dansko clogs. I have not found this clog to be as comfortable as the open back clogs made by Dansko. The fit is different and, for some reason, the clog is not as comfortable for long hours on my feet. I enjoy the clog for as shoe with jeans, etc. but don't use them for work.

They're an eye-catcher - I've worn Danskos for years and I'm on my feet pretty much all day, every day. I saw the red patent leather clogs and had to have a pair. I've always worn 40's in the oiled leather, but on a hunch, got 41's--glad I did. If my feet swell even a bit, my instep gets pinched, as the patent leather doesn't give like the regular leather does. On the other hand, once I showed up at the hospital wearing these babies (I was the first) another surgeon immediately got herself a pair, then a couple of scrub nurses, an anesthesiologist, and a bunch of other people started wearing them. For what it's worth, "fluids" (take that however you like) bead right off of them. Despite the instep issue, I really love these clogs and I kind of enjoy being known for them around the hospital.

This shoe looks wonderful, but they are a little narrow and I had to get a size 12 (42) instead of my usual 41 or 40. I would buy them again, though.

Sizing is tricky... I happened to go to a store to try on Dansko shoes for sizing. I wear 8.5 US women and a 40 in Dansko! The sizing conversions on the site are confusing and a bit misleading. I was lucky enough to buy the right size. OTHERWISE, these shoes are great. I wear them whenever I can. I think I will buy a pair of dressier Dansko's for work.

light and comfortable, versatile - First of all, the shoes I ordered were the just the normal "black box" professional cloogs. I think they are great and light and can go with just about anything. The only thing is that the in-sole takes some "breaking in" while it molds to your foot. My left foot still presses against the top of the shoe after about 6 wears, so I might take the insole out and try a thinner on. The arch of my left foot must be higher than that of my right foot. Other than that, this is a great shoe.

Love the Look - I loved the look. It's taking me quite a bit of time to get use to these shoes, granted that I've only have had then for about 2 weeks now. If you are clumsy like I am, please be very careful walking in these shoes because I thisted my foot and ankle(Remember it has a 2 inch heel) I'm still a little sore. I was impressed in the way the shoe fitted me, the were almost perfect. Just FYI I do recommend ordering one size bigger. This shoe looks professional and clean all the time. I've had many compliments.

From Oregon - These clogs look good with most outfits, but are a little wide for my feet. They're great if you're standing all day, but not great for walking a lot.

Great shoe - Awesome shoe. Needs a little breaking in at first. Wear them around the house before venturing out.

a nurses answer to tired feet! i have heard a lot of great priases about dansko's professional shoes over the last few years and i've always dreamed about getting a pair of my very own. so, finally for my birthday this year, i told my husband i really wanted a pair of dansko's. i ordered them on a friday and they were on my door step the following monday. very impressive. i love them. i took an extra pair of shoes to work with me, in case i needed to change shoes. but, i never had to. my feet did not hurt, ache or feel tired at the end of my 12 hour shift. i was shocked! i have worn them a few more times since and my fet are still happy! one thing is when walking and making sudden turns, the shoe causes my ankle to twist sometimes. but, i'm keeping them and i will just practice walking in them without twisting my ankle. kudos to dansko's!

The insole is a different material from my other clogs which I love. When I wore these and hopefully it will get better, the balls of my feet were burning, otherwise I love he shoe.
I'd also recommend:

As good as I expected - I work at a job where I am on my feet most of the day, and these are wonderful- I broke them in within a few days and they are so comfortable! The only drawback is that these don't have the most terrific ankle support.

Surprisingly Satisfied - Heard rave reviews so I got them. At first I thought "nothing special, kind of hard, and my feet don't feel different." It was after a few long days standing at work and coming home that I realized... "my feet don't feel different." Even after standing for so long, my feet weren't tired, achy, sore and begging to be taken out of confinement. It means the shoe did its job. No more crampy arches. Easy to slip on. Cons (despite these I still love my Danskos. I am just mentioning them for information's sake): 1. Bleeds red on my lighter colored socks. 2. I have a slightly protruding bone on top of my foot, so with thicker socks, it becomes a tight and somewhat painful fit across the top. 3. The Cordovan Cabrios scratched/scuffed easily and a tiny bit of the top layer of leather came off. PS: Zappos epitomizes good customer service. They have my loyalty.

Good shoe for people with low back pain - This is a great shoe if you have a job where you are on your feet a lot! It really supports your feet and it moves with the movement of your foot instead of your foot being forced to move with the movement of the shoe. It rolls forward and propels you forward! The only problem is that the inside is a little hard but that's the only problem I have found.

I bought these clogs to wear during a professional conference, where I'd do more walking in three days than I normally do in three weeks. Normally, these situations make my feet hurt a lot, but in the Danskos, I experienced no pain at all, and didn't even get any blisters. They're very comfortable and nice for walking. The strap across the top of the instep was uncomfortably tight for the first week or so, but now that the clogs are broken in, it's fine. As a women's 8.5-9, I originally ordered a 39, but it was too small (thanks to Zappos for such a painless return process!). The 40s fit well.

You can walk a million miles in Dansko's. This is my second pair of dansko's, and admittedly, they aren't the prettiest shoes out there, but I wear them a lot because they are so dang comfortable. When I got my first pair, the feel of the shoe was strange because there is a lot of room in the heel, but that is really how the shoes fit and they don't actually fall off.
I'd also recommend:
For summer wear, go for Reef's.
