Great shoes. Comfortable from day one, and very cool in hot weather. Someone told me they look somewhat dressy, which I thought was odd, but they have clean lines and are much more 'dressy' (?) than other Keens. My only concern is that they are a bit stinky (in hot muggy weather). But I just read they're machine washable, so I'll try that. The straps are supposed to be odor resistant. I highly recommend them, though.

I searched high and low for these shoes in Colorado and Arizona and couldn't find them. I had hesitated to order online because I needed them in a few days for a trip to Disneyland. I ordered from Zappos at 8 pm at night and by 10 am the next day they had arrived. I should have done that in the first place! I wore them for a full day at Disneyland and never once did my feet hurt nor did I blister. That is a first for me. I always blister, but not this time. I am in love with my Keens! Thanks Zappos!

Loved this sandal. It's more stylish than the standard Keen and the exposed toes look cute. Very comfortable footbed, like most Keens, but the strap across the front of the foot hit exactly the wrong spot for my bunions and I had to send them back. My fault, not the sandals. Very sad that I couldn't keep them! Ordered another pair of Venice H20 instead.

The color was a bit brighter than I'd hoped for, but I kept these unique sandals. The grosgrain insert on the mary jane strap is an artsy touch. As with all Keens, they are so comfortable and can go the distance.

The Keen Balboa was comfortable from the first second I put them on. I think I\'ve helped sell this product just by wearing them everywhere. People always ask where they can get a pair.

These are great shoes. I\'ve been wearing them often and been getting lots of complements each time. Plenty of support for an active lifestyle. I highly recommend them. The color offerings in this shoe are great but I hope Keen decides to make them in more neutral colors as well.

Took a risk and bought these right before a trip to Disney World with the family. We put on about 8 miles a day in walking and with this sandal I had no blisters at all by the end of the week. Not even a raw spot! My feet felt great! I wear them all the time now, they are a stylish new shape and are lined with a soft, moisture resistant material. Love them!

I have worn these on vacation a couple of times, and my feet are happy!

Oh my gosh, where do I begin? The Keen Balboa is probably the best pair of Keen sandals I've ever bought--and I own over a dozen different models of Keens. One thing that's a little hard to tell just from photos is that these sandals are actually quite stylish. The photos just make them look like regular Keens, but it's not the case. The footbed is a little narrower, and it has a very low-profile silhouette, so these look more like those popular Teva sandals (they have several that use the same basic style but with slightly different materials -- you can find them here at Zappos; look for the Teva "Ventura Cork," "Monsone," "Meadow," "Pretty Rugged Nylon," and others) rather than the typical Keen sandals with the side leather straps and elastic pull on the top. Unlike Tevas, though, these are all about comfort. The Neoprene-style lining makes a world of difference along all the sandals top part, provides a little cushion, and prevents the straps from cutting into your feet. Signature Keen "toe bumper" smaller on this model than others, but protects where it counts, makes it safer than fully open toed sandals. But because the toe bumpers are smaller, it means your toes peek out! For most people, I think the toe bumpers will cover your big toe and maybe two toes. Your pinky toes and ring toes will show, so if you like to wear some nail polish, you'll get to show a bit of it off. The only thing you might want to watch for is if you tend to snag your pinky toe on stuff. Personally, I couldn't ask for a better cut. On those hot summer days when my feet start to sweat, the two end toes start rubbing next to each other, and I almost always get a blister on my baby toe. But because the pinky area is open, I can let that area breathe, and I can wiggle my toes to prevent them from blistering! The side strap that connects front to heel is closer towards the side of your shoe than nearer to the top (which is how Teva sandals are). It's just a slight difference but the placement on the Keen actually protects the side of your feet and isn't just decorative. Only a little bit peeking out near the bottom on the outside of your foot. Narrower, better fit, doesn't look as clunky as their more famous models (Venice, Newport). Velcro adjusts nicely; no elastic lace so it looks way more streamlined. Very versatile style -- you can wear it up with a dress. While not as dressier as say the leather Keen Naples sandals, you can easily wear a summer dress with this and go out for a casual dinner at a cafe without feeling too hippy dippy. Still provides all the regular support and comfort of Keen sandals so you can take this to the beach. It's a little more open so if you get sand in them, it'll be easier to shake out. I can just see this as the go-to sandals for wearing all summer long. Going on vacation to Disneyland? Wear these. You'll be so happy you did. I bought the black, but I like these so much I might pick up another color. The only druther I have is that I wish they came in other travel-friendly colors like dark brown, tan nubuck, navy, burgundy, or ivory. Keen folks -- maybe you can introduce neutral colors for next summer?

I purchased these for Sea World-they are perfect for that! They are good for lots of walking, comfortable, water resistant, and stay on during rides! I bought an 8M, my regular size, and they fit well. Also, I love the color! Will probably buy more, and would surely recommend to all!

Most comfortable sandals available. Much more airy than the other Keen shoes out there. Ordered 7 different pairs of sandals from Zappos and returned all but these and they were the best by far. I had to get over the toe cover thing (not used to that) but my uber-sensitive feet have loved these from the start.

These are amazingly comfortable sandals. I have plantar fasciitis and was hoping to find a pair I could wear for a few hours when I wanted to look nice but I find I can wear these around for much longer. More comfortable than Crocs!

These were one of two pair of shoes I took on a two week European vacation. Best shoe vacation I ever had. No blisters, no rubbing, foot felt protected. Very comfortable.

Just bought these to replace my older Newport H2s. Balboa is much lighter, cooler and much more feminine. They cannot be quite as protective as the models which cover all toes, of course, but surprisingly feel protective enough even for the exposed toes. Wish the backstrap was adjustable as mine feels a bit loose so I worry about rubbing.

I knew these would be comfortable since they're Keens, but when I put them on I couldn't even tell they were on my feet. They are unbelievably soft and fit perfectly. They're very cute but functional enough to wear on a hike. Really great shoes!

I am a 6.5 regular and they fit perfectly. I got orchid and oh my, the color is so beautiful, so fresh. I am on the notify list for the same in the green color. I usually do not buy 2 of the same, but for this one I want to make sure I have enough for a long time in case it gets discontinued. Great summer walking and even gym shoes.

Love these sandals, very comfy and well made. Get compliments every time I wear them. True to size and I bought the gold/yellow - very pretty color. Love all Keen shoes, seem to fit my foot good.

I love these sandals. They fit like a glove right out of the box. I did order a half size larger as others suggested and it was perfect. I do wish they came in a tan color. I ordered the yellow ochre as it was the lightest color they have. Great sandal.

The Keen Balboa is a great shoe. They are washable and look great. I can wear them down to the creek and then wear them out on the town. Very versatile and so comfortable. I highly recommend these shoes.

Love, love, love these shoes! They are my first pair of Keens and I can't wait to own more. This pair is perfect for walking in the Florida heat. I don't even realize I have them on. They're funky and cool and I love this shade of green.

I couldn\'t wait to get home from a 2 1\/2 week trip to Italy and Croatia to tell you how perfect these shoes were! I took one other pair, which was also good, but wore these about 80% of the time. They were wonderful for walking on uneven stone streets, through puddles, up and down hills and endless steps. Great support, loved the toe protector. I didn\'t stub my toe even once! Extremely comfortable and dressy enough so that I could even wear them with skirts. Best traveling shoe ever! I bought black so they went with everything. Now that I\'m home - I keep wearing them. Got another compliment on them earlier today.
