This boot is very comfortable, provides excellent foot protection and the leather upper is very high quality. The sole, however, is poorly designed and starts coming apart after just a couple hundred miles. I've gone through 2 pairs and the sole is not nearly as durable as the rest of the boot.

Great fit and look. Soaked feet from walking in grass. Disappointed

These shoes lasted me almost exactly one year. Now the metal things for the laces are snapping off and the treads ripping off. Guess what, I just ordered Keens again because I liked them. Not these same ones though, the next ones up that look like them.

These are great boots for anyone with wide feet- Keens have always fit wide without having to order them wide. I believe this is to give your toes room to spread out, although I would imagine that is a drawback for someone with narrow feet. Pyrenees have simple styling that looks pretty classy, aside from the giant rubber toe. I am somewhat picky about shoe aesthetics, and I like how they look. I purchased the greenish gray version, and if I could go back I would buy the buffalo color- I have seen several pics of that color and it is a beautiful leather. These boots are in fact waterproof- the liner is very well made and comfortable. The tongue is a bit odd as it is attached on both sides by some thick leather that has to fold twice to close the boot. This causes discomfort while breaking in the boot, but after break in that extra leather is a nice cushion around the ankle. The leather is very soft and of high-quality. As these are suede boots, they take on water and weight when you get them wet, and they don't air dry overnight, so if you are on a rainy trip you will always have wet boots- on the outside. I have found the lacing system to be comfortable and stay tight all day. If I could do it over again, I would probably buy Kayland Zephyrs, as my buddy bought those boots at about the same time and they have way better ventilation and drying time, as well as vibram soles (similar price point and waterproof). I like the overall quality, look, and feel of the Keens. They do not have any plates in the soles so they flex (a lot) while hiking. So after doing about 15 miles up and down hills the arches of my feet hurt quite a bit, but I have adjusted. I would also highly recommend buying some non-Keen insoles like the triple density Ortholite insoles that Merrell and 511tactical sell. Zappos, as always, was awesome.

Not a bad boot at all. The sizing was true the comfort was excellent the weight of the boots overall is very lightweight. I would consider it a good all around shoe not a boot. The only drawback would be the soles wore out in less than eight months; other than that good comfort and fit for the price.

Comfortable and very soft leather. Not for any serious hiking or backpacking. Nice all around boot.

My cousin had these and loved them, so when his last pair (which he used like crazy for years and he works in a forest) wore out, I bought him the same ones as a replacement. I've never used them, but he sincerely swears by them and he says that they are the most durable boots he's ever used in his 15 years of work.

Can’t complain about the fit but the style is lacking. For one, my feet tend to run hot and there’s absolutely no ventilation which adds to the problem of drainage when you wade streams, rivers or California potholes. In addition, if I remember correctly (since I’ve already returned them) they aren’t real leather which may suit the vegans among us but I need trail boots that are going to stand up under tough conditions

Not like keens I’ve bought in the past from Zappos these ones are turning out to be hard to break in. The inserts that came with the shoes folded after the first day. The price was high for the new lower quality.

These were SO stiff. I thought they would soften up, because these are Keens and should be comfy! No dice. They are unused, sitting in my house too stiff to use.

These are so stiff soled they are unwearable. It's a pity-- I've worn Keens for years and this is unlike any of them; I come to Keens for wide toe boxes, comfort out of the box, moderate support with flexibility, moderate ground feel. I've worn stiff-soled boots when needed for crampons etc, but that is not what these are for. I thought they would soften up so I hung onto them rather than rack up more returns, but here I am looking for more boots that will actually do the job!

Fit and size were fantastic, but an eye broke off on the third wear. I am not hard on shoes, and they broke quickly.

Not up to par for what I've come to expect from Keen.I have had many sandals for my family and I that lasted a long time. That made the price exceptable. The Pyrenees I bought only 5 months ago are wore out. I should have bought the same boot I bought for the last 10 years. Lacrosse Quad comfort. Best boot out there.

I have another pair of Keen shoes and I really do like them, but I was frankly disappointed with these Keen boots. They were comfortable and they looked nice (though they are lighter than was the picture shows. Really the issue was that the tongue was kind of weird. It was attached with stiff leather pretty far up so it was hard to get the tongue actually inside the shoe when tying it. The other thing is that the lace hooks are shoddy. I was trying to snug up the boots and one of the lace hooks popped off and went flying across the room and I really wasn't pulling all that hard. Honestly I expected more from a hiking/work boot. To anyone considering these boots as work boots I would say you should just get the waterproof Timberland Pro boots. They are equally appealing from a style perspective and a better boot in my opinion. That being said, I still love my Keen shoes and would definitely buy those again.

The tongue will not stay over the center of the foot and keeps sliding to one side. This causes a sore spot on one's leg. The tongue constantly must be repositioned. The shoe would be terrible for a long distance hike. I definitely would not buy this brand again.
