I ordered these Converse shoes because I thought they looked really cute...and they are. I am in my forties and I wanted a pair of Converse to wear with my jeans but did not want the style with the thicker sole. I think these look great for anyone but especially for moms who still want to look cute and trendy without trying to look too young. Very comfortable and true to size.

These are an awesome twist on an old fave. They look just slightly different and weigh a few ounces less. This color wasn't on the Converse site. I like to wear chucks when I perform with my Oklahoma City 80's cover band.

Have several of the original versions of Chucks and these are much more comfortable. I like the thinner sole. I highly recommend them. Unbelievable service! I ordered them on Monday afternoon at 5PM and I was wearing them at 2PM on Tuesday. Thanks Zappos.

Great casual shoe. Less bulky than the original, which makes them easier to wear with shorts. Very pleased!

As much as I've loved my old Chucks these are now replacing them as my go-to, catch-all casual footwear for function, comfort, and style. These slimmer Chucks are definitely a streamlined version compared to the bulkiness of the classic model and are superior among weight, flexibility, and ground-feel. However, they can still be a bit restrictive; with a narrow toe-box and a slight heel lift - which at times make the heel feel like it wants to come out of the shoe. Both concerns were quickly remedied by removing the insole. The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Slim Ox has everything I love in good footwear. They are low-profile, minimalist, lightweight, flexible, and unstructured; all at an affordable price.

I love these shoes. They are as comfy as Chucks always are and with the Slim style it's almost like you've owned them for years, worn down in just the right places. What else can you say about Chucks, if you like the color you will like the shoes.

These are such cute sneakers- I got them in the charcoal and the color goes with everything. I have always hesitated to get the original Chucks, because I felt a bit clownish with the huge rubber sole at the edge. The 'slim' version solves that problem. I would also reiterate that they run a size large, probably adding to the clown thing. I am regularly a 9 or 9.5, but after reading the reviews I reluctantly ordered an 8. I haven't worn an 8 since my feet were still growing, but these are just right!

These shoes are a comfortable fit from the minute you put them on. They are a great addition to anyone's closet. After reading the other reviews about size I ordered a full size smaller and they fit perfectly.

A lighter, more streamlined version of the classic Chucks. Really like them and finding them comfy right from the start.

Amazing shoes. I love them more than my original Chucks. As always with Chucks, go for a size smaller than what you typically wear.

I have been "making do" with a pair of the regular Converse Oxfords for a few years now--I followed the sizing guide for that pair and they felt too large. However, I didn't want to bother with the hassle of an exchange (I didn't purchase that pair from Zappos). At any rate, I decided it was time for a new pair and when I saw a friend with the slimmer sole, I couldn't wait to get a pair of my own! Like another reviewer, with my regular pair of oxfords I felt like I was wearing clown shoes, but with a smaller size and the slimmer sole, I couldn't be happier with this purchase! Of course, there is even less arch support than the traditional oxford (a.k.a. NONE), but I'm willing to overlook that. Anyway, as for the sizing, if you're like me and wear a 1/2 size, I would suggest going down 1.5 sizes from your normal 1/2 size. I normally wear a 9.5, but with this slimmer pair, I ordered a men's 6/women's 8, and at first they feel a little snug, but I'm assuming that they'll loosen up with wear. One more quick thing about the Zappos website: I went with the 4-5 day standard shipping (free), and they upgraded my shipping to next day air for FREE! I ordered my shoes at 9:30pm one night and was wearing them by 1:00pm the next day! You can't go wrong with their service!

These are perfect! They fit unexpectedly comfortable then I thought they would, since the sole is slimmer and I have wide feet. When you are walking you do not feel anything at all, because they are so cushiony, like I said, they are perfect. I would recommended them to just about anyone.

I love these shoes! The rubber lining at the bottom has been made thinner and they have never looked so good! With the regular chuck taylors, as much as i love them, they made me feel like i was walking around in clown shoes b/c they were so bulky. But these are perfect and i wear them all the time. Standing in them for long period of time has always been a slight problem b/c they are relatively flat shoes but its something you learn to live with

Excellent shoes! I get a lot of compliments from Converse fans regarding the look and style. A tip I would offer is to order one size below what you normally wear. These shoes, although a little narrow, are very long. Plus, you can’t ever go wrong ordering from Zappos... best service ever!

Zappos delivered my Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars very promptly. I felt that the size was accurate and didn't need to be adjusted up or down by a half size or full size. They are fairly comfortable and have a very nice style. I may purchase some others in different colors.

Cute shoes! I usually wear a women's 8-8.5 and ordered the men's 6. They fit perfectly.

I love the slimmer sole of these shoes but it's true that the toe cover part is bigger than usual. Took me awhile to get used to the look of it...

For someone with slim feet, these fit a lot better than the regular width chucks. Shoe laces are a bit long though...

I love these, they run about a half size large and a bit wide. The white rubber toe cap part is much larger than regular low top Chucks. Just FYI, because that's my least favorite thing about these.

I'm originally a 7.5 shoe and ordered the women's 8 since I hate when shoes are too small. The 8 was definitely way too large - looked like I had clown feet - and Zappos exchanged the size 8 for a size 7 (half sizes aren't available) no problem. All I had to do was call customer service and, essentially, they took care of the rest. I couldn't believe Zappos really was as great as everyone said! As for the shoes, I love the classic look, but the first time I wore them, I had to walk about 20 minutes and ended up with awful awful blisters on my heels. Not sure if that was only because I wore them without socks or if it's something where the shoe needs to be broken in a bit. Otherwise, a big thumbs up to Zappos and these shoes!

The US size on the tag is the same as the UK size, so go by the UK size (which is usually 1 size bigger, so size down). Purchased these in late June, it's now early July and one of the rivets has already fallen off. Not a big deal, just not very satisfactory. About as little cushion as possible, but I've had worse. The slim sole makes it look a lot less clown-like. I'm content with my purchase, I just wish they were a bit better quality. I'll probably buy another pair once these are destroyed.

Excellent service. The shoes arrived in a day. I ordered one for my husband and one for me. The shoes are true to size, I usually wear a 5.5 and I ordered a 6 and these were comfortable. I wore them on a trip to Europe (lots of walking) and they held up pretty well. My guess is the thicker soled version would have been more comfortable but if you're talking fashion, then get these!

I ordered these shoes on a Monday and they arrived Tuesday, the very next day, so that was very good. The shoes are very stylish. HOWEVER, they run true to size despite some reviews. A lot of reviews suggest that this style runs large and that you should buy one size smaller than usual. I wear a women's 9.5 size shoe, or men's 7.5. This style does not come in half, only whole, which was a bit of a disappointment. Normally I would round up but since I was told they run large I ordered a women's 9, men's 7. I would never order a 9 but was told they run big. Long story short, the shoes are a tad tight. I really need a 9.5. I think I will return them and get a women's 10, men's 8.

These are OK. But be warned, they are not the same style as the previous version of the slim ox. I have no idea why converse stopped making that version as it was by far cuter than this one. This one still looks clunky and not as unique. I will probably return them.

The back of the shoe is a little too high for me. I have to wear these with socks to prevent blisters on the back of my heels.
