Love the comfort of this shoe! I have issues with my arches and this shoe works great all day long as well as for walking. I needed something that was stable, supported my arch, and relieved stress on my back; this does all three.

My heel hurt so bad from plantar fascia, I couldn't walk from one side of a big box store to the other. Bought these shoes, added an arch support insert, and now they're the only shoes I can wear. After a long day, they can feel hot and heavy and sometimes I can't wait to get them off, but they've restored my quality of life. Plus they're made in the USA. Thank you New Balance!

These are the best athletic shoes I have ever purchased. I wore them every day while on vacation recently in Alaska. Mostly walking, some uneven terrain. My back didn't hurt and my feet felt great at the end of the day!

These shoes make my feet feel great! There is plenty of room in the toe area so my toes don't feel cramped. I'm wearing them for everything--walking, short running intervals, and everyday use and I love them. I ordered a half size larger than normal as other reviewers suggested and am wearing thicker socks and they fit great.

I don't have foot problems but I do a lot of walking on the track at the gym. These shoes are so cushioned and just so comfortable. I've never owned athletic shoes of this quality before. Great investment!

Okay. For all of you women that need a 2E shoe due to foot issues, orthotics, bunions...this is it. I promise you I have tried every orthotic shoe store out there as well as 2E's in Asics, Brooks, etc. I'm 35 years old, a mom and a nurse and I workout and have major foot issues. I wear these everywhere. So, they are not the prettiest but your feet will never have felt better. And if you're like me, you put a major premium on that fact. Not to mention you can stay away from the true orthotic shoes like p.w. minor, etc. (In my opinion, you might as well ditch the shoe and cut a hole in the shoe box and just wear that around. Yikes.) Great wide toe box, great fit, great cushioning and can easily fit orthotics in the foot bed. Yay for New Balance!

These are fantastic walking shoes. I always buy my New Balance shoes from Zappos. The shoe has great arch support and is very cushiony when walking. The sizing runs true. Wear a medium weight athletic sock and they are perfect!

I needed a "perfectly comfortable" shoe for my new orthotics, just hurt my instep/plantar fascia during exercise class. Tried on 15 pair, thanks Zappos! And these were the best, bought 9.5 wide. Toe box is huge, can really move my toes, doesn't hurt my bunions or small toes. They have stretched a little with wear and washing, but still my main shoe!

These New Balance athletic shoes are by far the most comfortable I have ever owned! I will always buy this brand and style in the future!

Love this shoe! And I hate shoes. I wear sandals or go barefoot every chance I get...this shoe fits and is comfortable. I have a very wide foot and a size 11 1/2, impossible to find...or so I thought until I checked here on Zappos! Very happy with the fit, comfort, style, color and quality.

Finally, the perfect walking shoe for me! I have tried four other shoes from Zappos that didn't fit right. Zappos was excellent about returning them. These shoes at size 9.5, extra-wide are very comfortable. The sl-2 shoe last is perfect for me. The front of the shoe is finally wide enough without being way too long. The heel fits nice and snug. It doesn't slip at all. I can wear the podiatrist made orthotics I have if I want to. Problems I experience off and on are: bunion, bunionette and plantar fasciitis. These shoes do not aggravate these problems and most of the time I feel no pain at all while walking in them.

I'm very happy with these shoes. They are comfortable and great for walking and jogging.

I am a big fan of these shoes. I add an additional insert because my arch problems are so bad, but the shoes give me the support that I need for running, which is why I love them. I used to have a problem with shin splints, but with these shoes that is not an issue anymore. I wish they were a little lighter and a little less bulky, but their functionality is great.

The most comfortable shoes I have ever owned! Excellent support also. I will definitely buy these shoes again.

I was struggling with plantar fasciitis pain and this is the only shoe I could wear. In addition, it is big enough to fit my custom orthotics (bonus!).

After a year, I am still nursing the results of a broken ankle and torn tendon. These shoes hug my feet and provide outstanding support. The insole is perfect. I have a pair for the gym and another pair for outside. In my opinion, these shoes are the best on the market.

Really wanted these shoes to work. Excellent support. However they either run a bit small or the toe box is just too small because my big toe felt crammed. I have never worn a larger size in New Balance shoes before. Something is off here.

These are some of the few 2E width shoes I have tried where the sole is actually wider instead of just adding extra width in the top fabric. Is a little too substantial and bulky looking but comfort and width are great.

I have worn New Balance athletic shoes for 8 years now and have loved wearing them. This is the first time I have ordered a pair that did not fit. I ordered the same size I always get but these were absolutely huge and wide. I do have a large, wide foot, but these shoes looked like I was wearing shoe boxes. I sent them back and ordered a different style - hopefully they will be fine.

I have had a lot of New Balance shoes and these are just not comfortable for me. I have somewhat flat feet, and I think it is the arch supports that are uncomfortable. I trimmed the removable insoles a little and that helped, but they still are not great.

I could scream from frustration. I have worn NB for 30+ years and the shoes serve me well because of the last. Small flaw but: black indelible ink from inner sole on past 3-4 pairs of NB bleeds onto soles of my expensive Wilson double-layer socks. Cannot get the stain out with anything. I recently replaced my socks, forgot about the label bleeding, & just ruined 2 pairs of brand new Wilsons. Complained to NB a couple of years ago; got no response. Maybe Zappos customers can convince NB not to economize with this type of Chinese ink. Any ideas how to avoid problem without removing inner soles?

I bought this shoe thinking 'severe over pronator' would be a good thing for my condition, but it turned out this was too extreme compared to the 'moderate pronator' shoes I usually wear from Asics. I have worn these shoes for maybe 2 weeks now and parts of my foot are now hurting more then usual. The soft squishy part on the outer ankle joint hurts especially at night feeing like mini charlie horses. The top of my foot hurt when I put pressure to stand on my feet (I think its the cuneiform and metatarsal areas). I also had green superfeet inserts I wore from my previous pair of Asics in them. When I went to take the superfeet out today, they were severely bent where the ball of the foot starts. The construction looks as if it mimics a platform shoe (raised in the back and the toes are off the ground more then regular shoes). I'm going back to Asics.
