Runner's Review - I'm a serious runner who was looking for a comfortable and soft shoe. I usually just buy the newest Cumulus by Asics. These shoes are soft and feel "springy". The way the shoes lace it feels as though my arch and center foot are stable. The only complaint I have is the slick sock lining... I feel like my foot wants to slip out of the shoe. Besides the slippage I recommend these.

Great shoe for all running levels. I was fitted for these shoes at a local running store. Unfortunately, they didn't carry my size in the color I wanted. Enter Zappos. I was so pleased they carried AA width. These shoes are great for mild pronators, like me, who need a little extra stability and great cushioning. Reminder to those who haven't been professionally sized: You'll probably need to go up a FULL size from your dress shoe size. Great shoe and as always, great service from Zappos!

I have had a number of Asics shoes that I wear for exercise walks (alone and with the dog). The last pair I never quite loved as they seemed too wide. I ordered a different pair of Asics before these this year, but the toe bed was way too wide for my narrow foot so I returned them. So I then ordered these in narrow after an on-line chat with a Zappos cust. serv. rep. I have worn them for many miles already this spring (probably around 15-20/week) and I just don't like them. Maybe they are too narrow for even my narrow foot. They rub the inside bottom of my heels and I almost hate having to put them on, but they are the only walking shoes I have. I thought initially it was just a 'break in' issue, but it isn't going away. I would return them if I could, but I have worn them now. Boo hoo. I wouldn't buy these again and am starting to think I need to try another brand.

These shoes look great on and I walked the house a bit trying to pretend they fit. Alas, they're just too narrow for me at the heel end and would have caused blisters. The toe box seemed adequate for my wide feet, though.

Not a right fit for me, my feet are still throbbing from wearing these shoes. There is good arch support, but they the shoes arches are back than on my feet, not comfortable for me running just 2 miles.

These shoes looked like they would suit me perfectly and after reading the reviews I felt confident as well. However, after running maybe a week or two in these, my left Achilles hurt so bad I could hardly walk. I do about five miles on the treadmill 4x/week, and I had to rest my leg for about a week. I don't know if it was the shoe, or me or a combination of both, but, they did not work for me. I am still in pain, even after switching back to my Sauconys.

I have a medium/narrow foot, so I can wear shoes that are more narrow. These running shoes were too "stiff" and narrow, compared to my cushioning Adidas Response running shoe that I have been wearing for the past several years. I was disappointed with these Asics because I thought the color black is great and I thought they would fit better. I used to play volleyball in high school and always wore Asics volleyball shoes very comfortably. I tried these out around the house and will be returning them.

I am an overpronator and was looking for a new stability shoe. This shoe looks good and feels good on. Its nice and narrow and hugged my feet. Nothing rubbed or caused any issues. My only problem was that I still had to put in an arch support and they were too stable, too stiff. This made my gait more effortful and inefficient.

This latest 2150 model fits differently than the previous versions. Seemed to rub my toes, plus I had shin problems after walking. My foot PT looked at them and said the problem is that they are wider than the past versions. I have long, narrow feet and this shoe has served me very well for over five years. Hope that Asics will return to their more narrow version of this shoe. The Zappos person was super nice on the phone and told me to return them.

Wanted to like this shoe a lot. Very cushiony and comfortable sole. Unfortunately, hard, tight stitching right next to the pinkie toe was rubbing and hurting my tailor bunion. I purchased these in 9Wide, but they weren't wide enough.

After the positive reviews and evaluating many options, I bought these Asics. They are comfortable, but have what feels like a metal backing around the rear ankle which wasn't obvious until I wore them for a 30 minute walk and experienced pain. My feet pronate slightly and since wearing these I have serious pain in my hip and leg afterward (not while walking). I'm wondering whether the stiffness of the ankle construction has realigned my feet/leg position, causing temporary(?) pain. I hope it goes away; otherwise I am out the money. I had bought these for my trip to Chicago and didn't bring them for fear of debilitating pain during my 5 day stay (did lots of walking). Since they are not returnable after use, sadly I would not buy online again.

I love Asics but these gave me blisters. I walk at least 5 miles a day and I usually don\'t need any break in time with this brand but I did with these. Could use a bit more cushioning.

I really detest the look of any and all sneakers. But I think black ones are the least noticeable. So they get points for that. I have bunions and need to purchase wide shoes. These are just OK in that department. I am very physically active walking at least 4 miles a day (urban walking on pavement) and I hula hoop an hour a day. These hurt too much to wear for both activities. I am hoping they will stretch. Right now I'd grade them at about a C.

I like the way it looks & great cushioning, but it is pretty narrow. I still prefer my Gel Nimbus 11, but unfortunately, they don't have those in black.

Horrible shoe. The mesh design is not covered on the inside of arch so it rubs while running and gives painful blisters. No arch support and very little cushion. Narrow fit is in heel, but not toe which is opposite of most narrow fit running shoes, which makes the foot cramp up during wear. Buyer beware. I recommend sticking with a New Balance shoe for those with a narrow foot.

After many years of wearing New Balance running sneakers because they had styles that are available in wide, I was excited to find another running sneaker that came in wide width. Unfortunately, after wearing them for about 1 week, my left ankle began to ache. Soon after I purchased a pair of New Balance and the ankle pain has disappeared. I'm disappointed that these nice looking sneakers hurt my ankle and that I've wasted money. I am contacting the manufacturer to inform them of the problem I developed from wearing their sneakers.

For someone like me with medium arches, this shoe was so uncomfortable. After running a few miles in it, my arches would hurt and I couldn't walk afterwards. I thought breaking them in would work, but the only way I could wear those shoes if my feet changed shape.

I ordered this shoe for half-marathon training. I don't know if I got a defective shoe, but I could see glue in many places and there was some kind of white paint splattered on the inside of both shoes. Also, there was some kind of noticeable lump in the left shoe that wasn't present in the right. I even tried multiple socks. Horrible quality, Asics! A step down from my last pair of Asics. Will be returning to Zappos!

I wanted to like these, I really did. My toes had plenty of room and although I have a wide foot, it didn't feel at all cramped. My one complaint is the padding in the heel. I think it was supposed to cup the heel, presumably for extra support, but all it did was chafe my heels badly enough that they really started to hurt after only about 10 minutes walking around my living room. I'm returning them. Zappos service, as always, is amazing!

I have never had problems with blisters (even during the 'breaking in' time) but man! This shoe gives me terrible blisters! (Important note: I've had many pairs of Asics in my life and this pair is the first one that has caused me any trouble.) It's a very bright pink and nice and shiny - the outside looks great but the inside & my heel are not compatible. Until I can afford another pair, these will have to do.

Terrible blisters. This is the first time I've had this brand, and it will be the last. Something about the biomechanics of my foot don't work well with that weird extra padding that bulges inward on the inside edge of the ankle on the shoe. I never have blisters, except with this shoe. I've just come back from a 4 mile walk and not much, but I could barely walk with the blistering. I'd brought Band-Aids to put on because this shoe has been blistering me since I got them, but thought I might have gotten hardened by now. Nope. I'm going back to New Balance.

The mesh on the toe area of this shoe has worn through and now has a hole. I've only had them 7 months and have worn them maybe once or twice a week. Poor quality for the price.

Zappos - great. Shoes not. These are the next iteration of my old running shoes that I loved but they feel like they are lined with cement - no cushion whatever. Disappointed that Asics would even try to sell these. After only about 8 runs my knees are killing me! Zappos provided extremely fast shipping - it's just a bad shoe.

I have worn the 2150 for several years in a size 9 comfortably. The shoe I received labeled as a size 9 was probably a size 8. Shoes are being returned. Zappos service excellent.

I have worn Asics 2140 for years and loved them. I could wear them right out of the box. I walk 6 miles, 5 or 6 days a week on the treadmill. This pair was not comfortable. Took forever to break in and my feet bothered me most of the time after I wore them. I am finally caving in and trying another Asics shoe hoping I find one that fits as good as the 2140's. Not a fan of this shoe at all. I have narrow feet and this shoe rubbed my heels and it also rubbed blisters on my toes.
