I own many pair of Clarks shoes, and, in the past have not owned a bad pair; however, this pair does not afford the expected comfort that I am accustomed to. They are clumsy in comparison to others of same or other brands. I will be returning them as, I'm sorry to say, they do not work for me.

I've been able to trust Clark's in the past for comfort, shoes that really hugged my feet with cushioned support. These were a total disappointment. They look good, but that was it. No arch support at all. They were wide all over; I've never experienced that with Clark's in the past. No way could I walk very far in these shoes and not be in pain.

I love Clark’s shoes and have several pairs. I ordered my normal size 9.5 and the were like boats on my feet...I double checked the size and they were 9.5....I returned them (thank you Zappos for your spectacular return policy) and ordered a 9. I could barely get my foot in the opening....I mean it was comical trying to get them on....I actually got the right one on finally and they kind of fit but honestly the opening was teeny tiny....it was ridiculous ..what a disappointment.....if they are on their way back

I really like the look of these shoes, but the fit was strange for me. I'm a loyal buyer of Clarks shoes and normally they fit me right out of the box. This shoe has plenty of room in the toe box, but I agree with other reviewers about the strap inside the tongue of the shoe feeling uncomfortable. Also, the heel digs into my skin. Unfortunately I have to return them.

I thought these would be ideal fall/winter shoes. I've had many similar styles from Clarks in the past. These are constructed so strangely! There is a long tongue extending up the top of the shoe, but beneath the top and down an inch or so is an elastic strap (not adjustable) which is quite tight. When I put on the shoes, the strap is so tight, it rolls as my foot slides in, but is so tight it is very difficult to try to straighten...thus a tight lump in the middle of my foot above the arch! I suppose I could just cut the elastic, but then the side strips of leather to which it is affixed would gap. Very strange design...Clarks should have placed separate elastic straps on each side of the shoe attached to the tongue as they have with all other shoes of similar style. Needless to say, I had to return them. Also, the overall quality did not seem to match the higher price. Clark's quality seems to be slipping through the years.

Cute shoe but too narrow. Getting it on is a real nuisance. The throat of the shoe is really narrow too. And, it hurts the area under my ankle bone.

This shoe has a rocker-type sole. If you don't like to bend your toes when you walk, maybe this shoe will work.

Couldn't find a pair that fit! My usual size 9.5 Wide was a full size too large. Unfortunately, so was the 9 Wide. The 8.5 Wide was too tight on my foot. Really too bad, these are good looking shoes and they felt nice and cushy, but if the shoe doesn't fit. Plus, the pair closest to fitting me squeaked audibly when I walked! Had to return all of these. Clark needs to rethink and rework this particular style shoe.

I'm in an interesting situation rating this shoe! I have worn one pair of these to bits for the last 5+ years, and was excited to see Clarks was still making the same model. I decided to order them from Zappos, and ordered two sizes (as one does) just in case the fit had changed. I first opened a size 9 and was dismayed to see the leather of the shoe was now more stiff and artificial-feeling instead of the rich, softer, pebbled leather of my original pair. The design had also changed, with a more rounded toe instead of the slight square I had liked so much before. In sum, they no longer felt like the same shoe and had a cheaper feel (more like the Clarks' discount line of shoes they have at their outlets). Then I opened the size 9.5 (which had a different box) and was shocked (though delighted) to see that THIS size still had the pebbled, richer leather and the squared toe. Thank heavens I ordered both, but this is unsettling. What would I have done if I had just ordered the 9? And, if I had decided I needed a size 9, are the others in inventory that are the kind I actually want (and how would I ever figure that out unless I kept ordering more pairs until I found them?)? Fortunately I will stick with the 9.5 and I'm super-happy I managed to snag them. But I am disappointed if this means I will never again be able to replace them if Clarks is changing the quality.

Not a high enough instep for me, couldn't even get them on. I have a wide foot and high insteps, but just getting wide shoes usually works.
