This is a nice boot. I ordered the same size I order for walking/activity shoes and they were too big all over. I need more arch support than boot has or would have reordered in smaller size. And don't get me started on all my foot problems! If one can find the right fit (and has a good foot :-) they likely will wear well.

I have sensitive feet and arcopedico has been good for them. I like the style and comfort of the boot on my foot. BUT they have a serious design flaw. I wanted to keep them so I have been to the shoe repair shop 3 times before I ever wore them due to the discomfort of the snap on my ankle bone. They added padding, then more padding, then took the outside snaps off and put in velcro to close the shoes. After all that, I still had to sew a pad to wrap around my ankle under my socks before I could wear them. So I don't recommend them to anyone with thin ankles until they redesign them with a better closure--like a zipper which would also make them faster to get on and off. I think I will like them now that I can wear them but will only be able to wear them with pants as the pad shows a little. If I had known what it would take to make them work, I would not have kept them.

I have a fairly narrow foot but these were exceptionally wide and more suited to a person with a high instep.

The fit was not the problem. I just didn't like the way they looked on my feet: the pleated section (for want of a better description) in the front was kind of floppy and looked goofy. Disappointing, as I know the brand is good and recommended by many. They just weren't for me.

These booties are a beautiful leather and the red color is quite attractive. The fit & arch support is not what I expect from this brand, however. In addition, even though the snaps on both sides of the bootie are attractive, they are hard to close for someone with arthritic hands (e.g., me).

the shoe looked more appealing online. I had used the search bar for arch support boots and this expensive shoe was listed. I felt no support at all. The snaps on the lateral side were difficult to snap. For the price I want comfort not just cute. So I will return them and keep looking. At Zappos of course.

Bootie is a bit hard to snap closed and they don't stay closed when walking. Minimal arch support; insoles are hard. Too baggy looking to my tast.

I'm trying to wear better shoes because of lower back pain. I wear a 7M and ordered the 138 so I could wear socks. These boots are so soft and look so comfortable, but fit like Frankenstein's boots! My toes were a good 2 inches from the end. It was COMICAL. Zappos is out of smaller sizes so I'll never know (sigh).

The foot bed was way too narrow. I have normal width feet and these were uncomfortable. Had to return them.

I got these Arcopedico N42 boots because I loved my summer slip-ons made by this brand and liked the leather insoles. When they arrived I was sad to find out that the insole is not glued down well and was slipping so I had to repair it myself. Also, the inner lining is not leather but a synthetic liner. The boots are roomy which will help because they are very thin leather so will need thick wooly socks in cold weather. The leather is easily scratched. The color is very pretty and the snaps stay closed. If you are looking for sturdy or warm boots these will not be the ones. The tread is very minimal so they are better for mild climates without snow or ice. They are cute, but maybe not worth the price.

I have fairly flat feet as well as plantar fasciitis, so it's been hard finding attractive shoes that don't make my feet hurt. Out of the box, the arch support felt a little funny and while the shoes were long enough (my second toe is longer than my big toe), the heels were way too loose to the point that after walking around for five minutes, I could foresee myself getting blisters. After taking the shoes off, my feet hurt for the next three hours. I ended up also trying them with my orthotics inserts, and while the inserts fit in the boots, they did not solve my heel slippage problem. If the snaps had been adjustable and I were able to tighten the boot, it might have been fixable but the way it was, my arch was just too low to fill out the shoe.

I did not like the style of these at all. Very plain and made my size 8 foot look huge. The button on each side was unique and easy to get on, but just not for me. Would not recommend. And the green color was dark and unattractive.

I expected to love these boots but they were difficult to get on. They felt fine once I had them on but I do not think that I would want to spend so much time putting them on.

I would love to have a sassy red bootie for the winter, but this isn't it. The color was great. But the fit was way off--far too big in my usual size 6, my foot just slid around in it. And as another person said, once on, the style isn't as cute as it appears in the photo; it really does look like a loose paper bag on your foot. Going back.

Like many of the other reviews I agree that the height of the toe area was limited. The leather was of nice quality but the snaps on either side of the ankle are very tough to line up to snap them and rather difficult to snap, especially awkward for the one on the outside of the ankle (where you can’t see). The snaps must be undone to get your foot into them and they are much too lose if you attempt to just let the snaps remain undone once it is on your foot. The style looks better in the photographs of the shoe. Once it is on the foot it just looks like you are wearing a leather bag on your feet. I have had a number of Arcopedico shoes and never been disappointed but this one did not live up to their standards. The old Arcopedico Mitrus ankle boot was far superior. I wish they would bring it back into production!

I had ordered it in red and loved them. The fit was great so I ordered them in
black. The black was so short my toes ached. What happened Im returning them should I order the black in next size or will they be huge? What to do?

These boots were just not very attractive. I could live with that if they felt great on my feet, but they did not. They were hard, tight in the toe box, and there was no arch support.

I wear 7.5-8 size shoe, have slightly narrow-medium heel and a wide, flat instep and top of foot. I've been trying to find a cute, comfortable ankle boot for traveling in Asia where I'll have to take my shoes off a lot. This looked like such a cute shoe and I was hopeful... But there wasn't enough room in the toebox; my big toe hit the top of the shoe. The photo on the shoebox showed a woman's foot with the second toe longer than the big toe - so maybe that's the type of foot the shoe is designed for?? I wear 7.5-8 and tried both the 38 and the 39; neither fit. So is that "true to size"? I never know what to select in zappos dropdowns. The 39 was better than the 38 although loose overall. I could have gone with thicker socks, but the shoe had no cushioning and the insole doesn't come out, so won't allow adding a cushioning insert or orthotic. After standing at my computer for an hour my feet were tired. Back they go!

These looked great and I wanted to love them. They fit fine, but sole so thin you can feel the floor underneath. Can't remove insole, replace with thicker. Back you go!

I really wanted to love these boots, but it was a very bad match for me. For how boxy the toe is and how loose overall the fit was on me, it was surprising to find the front of my foot high in the boot and the top of my toes mashing in to the top of the toe, even wearing thin socks. I need a wide toe and a narrow heel--and this was a poor match for that. There wasn't a lot internal structure or padding, and the fit was loose and floppy around rest of the top and sides of my foot. The arch support was minimal, which was good for my flat feet, but there wasn't much other internal structure to stabilize my foot. They were fairly cute and didn't look too orthopedic in person. The snap closures were cool, nice to not have a zip of the side of a boot. I'm really disappointed that I have to send these back.

Boot runs small. The toe box, however, seems sufficient. there is no arch support at all...unusual for the arcopedico line, so i was disappointed. it is very difficult to snap the two snaps on either side of the boot once the boot is on. my boots came with one that had a wrinkle in the top of the leather...so they would have gone back anyway. considering the price of these boots, i would have expected much better quality. the leather is soft though. i am returning them because of the imperfection of course, but also because they just aren't very comfortable without the arch support.

I have several other Arcopedico boots and they are great. This one is way too wide and has little arch support. Cannot recommend it. Seems odd for this company.

While I liked the design, and the feel of the foot box, the front ankle wrap on my left foot dug into my shin. That was too uncomfortable to wear, particularly at the price for these ankle boots.

I'd call these an expensive mistake. The good - nice soft leather, nice color, fit my wide/weird shaped feet. The bad - soles are very thin. After only 1 wear, I could see that these shoes weren't going to last long as there was significant wear on the sole. This is not something I look for in a relatively expensive shoe. I took them to a shoe repair place to see about getting some rubber soles put on them to make them last longer. Because of the shoe sole design, there's pretty much nothing that can be done. The shoe itself doesn't have removable insoles and the current insoles left my feet aching after a day of walking as there is nearly no padding on the ball of the shoe. To make the shoes maybe semi-wearable outside of just shuffling around at home would cost at least another $60. This is ridiculous for a nearly pair of shoes at this price. I do not recommend these shoes to anyone that plans on walking. If you mostly sit or at home most of the time, they might be okay.
