I got these shoes for my wedding. I have a large foot (size 14) and it's very hard for me to find shoes, let alone nice, affordable and comfortable ones. I own another pair of Eccos (their Atlanta Wing Tip Oxford) and they are ridiculously comfortable, so I was hoping that these would be just as comfortable. I am weary of ordering shoes online since I have a large foot, but I'd say overall the size is pretty accurate. On the other hand, the shoes felt pretty narrow and even after walking around the house for a couple of hours to break them in, everything felt tight and a little too stiff. I also feel like the back of the shoe sits too low and to me feels like the shoe is going to fall of at any moment. As far as comfort, after 2 or 3 hours, these shoes become almost too uncomfortable to wear, and at the wedding I brought my other Eccos just to have a backup - and ended up having to switch to them for the dancing. I like how they look, but knowing how they feel makes me hesitate before I put them on.

Very nice shoe, no question. And comfortable, to its reputation's claim. But I wear normally a 9.5 sometimes 9, chose the size that matches, yet the shoe was almost 2 inches longer than end of my toes. And so comfortable that it almost felt loose. So while probably a great shoe, maybe not if you prefer a snug fit.

I ordered these for my son. He is on his feet eight hours a day, and it is a replacement pair. He put them on immediately. Now, Zappos, you used to be better than that. One, it took four days for delivery. You got us used to 48 hours. Two, your prices are not that competitive any more.

These shoes were very comfortable out of the box, and also are very well made. Unfortunately, they run fairly large length-wise, so will I will not be wearing this particular pair. A word of warning: I normally wear a 10-10.5 US (all of my shoes are 10.5 US / EUR 44), and up to an 11 US (EUR45) with running shoes. These shoes at size 44 are a good cm longer than my current pair of running shoes that are size 45. So, beware of the length. If you normally wear a 44, I would go with a 43 or even a 42 with this shoe.

Nice cheap dress shoe, came with a dress shoe bag, which I wasn't expecting. I was hoping that welt was actually sewn but it's just imprinted in the rubbery sole. The sole is unexpectedly squishy which make for a very comfortable shoe but was probably why the it couldn't be sewn. Excellent comfort, lacking a little style.

Fit and size are good, but what is with this silly fashion trend of elongated toe boxes? These size 10 Eccos are a full inch longer than my old Ecco's, and I'm not a fan. Makes my feet look bigger than actual, and they are more of a tripping hazard. Disappointed.

Long time Ecco wearer. Although I know each pair of shoes needs to be broken in, this particular pair really hurt my heels right away.

My husband usually loves Ecco shoes, so I ordered these for him. These look very nice. Oddly, however, he didn't find these comfortable, so we'll return them.

I bought the same style in a different color. The color was splotchy. They were still very comfortable. Also in my older pair they held up very nicely for a few years after almost daily use. I did take care of them.

So, this is the second pair of Ecco shoes that have not been comfortable right out of the box. For some reason, my heels are very uncomfortable in these shoes, and I am wearing bandages to avoid blisters. Thicker socks help, but not much. Also, the laces simply WILL NOT stay tied. It drives me crazy to stop and tie my shoes throughout the day. I hope these issues will subside as the shoes are worn-in, otherwise this will be my last pair of Ecco's.

This is the first pair of Eccos that disappoints me. They look and fit fine, as Eccos normally do, but they are so thin they feel like ballet slippers, and they didn't come with Ecco removable insoles. What are Eccos without Ecco removable insoles, I ask you?

I felt that the shoe had a very distinguishable break where it transitioned from the heel to the arch, and just trying the shoe on to see if it fit I could tell this would be a source for discomfort, I wont be walking in them to test it out, because I don't want to lose my refund. This strange "break" is only noticeable in the left shoe, and the right shoe is horribly scratched. Seeing as I possibly got one defective shoe, and one damaged shoe, I think there is very poor (if any) quality control going on with this shoe, I would not recommend it.

I wear 10 on most brands, rarely a 9.5 is a better fit. I ordered a 44, which is translated to 10-10.5 and it was huge. I replaced it with a 43 (9-9.5) and is just fine. The style is fine, nothing too fancy. The shoe felt unexpectedly stiff on the outside, but it felt quite comfortable inside. Walking with them is a little odd. I have had this experience with other shoes in a similar style - I have the feeling that the upper is bending in the wrong spot. It may be the style, it may be the sizing. I hope they will get better when they break in. They feel comfortable, but I would not pick them if I had to walk all day. Overall not bad if they were a different brand, but I expected more from ECCO.

I was planning on getting the more expensive model since I already owned a pair but different color. Big mistake, this one felt really cheap and was not comfortable to walk in. I was suggest paying a little more and getting the other shoe instead.

I wear a US 9.5, so I ordered a 43. I have another pair of size 43 Ecco shoes that fit just fine. These are incredibly longer than my other Ecco shoes - or any of my 9.5s - about an inch too long. So sorry I'm having to return them.

This item was one of two pairs of Ecco shoes I ordered. I took one shoe out of the box, looked it over, and felt the upper part. Everything about the shoe looked and felt so cheap, I just put it back in the box. This was a surprise to me, since I've been buying and wearing similar Ecco shoes for over 20 years. I did not try on the shoes.

I have loved my ECCO shoes in the past and when I saw these at $54 dollars a pair and in a style I had liked previously, I couldn't pass up this deal. I did read a couple reviews that said that they didn't seem to be up to par with other ECCOS, but again with the price almost 50% I thought I could risk it. Wearing them today at work, they are stiff and uncomfortable, and actually causing a weird pain in my heel. I figure maybe that they have to be broken in, but my other ECCOs were great right out of the box. I guess I will give these some time and see if they get broken in and more comfortable, but as of right now I agree with the other critical reviews. They almost seem to be like a fake brand!

Strangest thing occurred this past weekend. The heels of both shoes totally disintegrated on my pair of New Jersey Tie ECCO. This pair of shoes have remained in their original bag, have been taken care of since purchase and only worn three previous times. If I recall correctly, these were purchased through Zappos and I have never experienced any problems with other shoes purchased. It looks as though the heel may have been hollow and the plastic just fell apart. I did leave a trail of black plastic around the church.

Bought the black version of the same shoe, same size about a year ago (I think). Truly surprised to find a completely different, uncomfortable fit for this. What's happened to the quality? To the standards? I want to trust the ECCO brand, but maybe that's a fading mirage.

Like skis. Many reviews said they run long so ordered a size smaller than my usual size (10). The 9's have a nice width, but long. So much off I decided on a different shoe. Nice looking, nice leather, but too long.

I have another ECCO Oxford shoe that I purchased several years ago. It is very comfortable. This latest one had no arch support, and the front half of my foot like it was stepping directly onto concrete. Horrible comfort

I bought a pair of these ECCO New Jersey Tie leather shoes and an Ahnu leather shoe around the same time. After about equal amounts of wear, the ECCO shoes are much worse for the wear. The leather seems to scuff more easily than the Ahnu shoes. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend these ECCO shoes for durability and quality of leather. It may be that ECCO is cutting corners on quality.
I'd also recommend:
Ahnu
