The toe bed of this shoe tips up rigidly and caused my toe joints to hurt. Usually Hush Puppies are great shoes, but I can't recommend this style, cute though it is.

This disappointed me because the shoe is just like several Hush Puppies that I have had for seven years. But the new ones were much "harder" than my old ones. They also were narrower and not as comfortable or supportive as my old ones. They just were not made as well and I had to return them (I had ordered one black and one brown pair).

Was too stiff and tight across the toe box. I first tried the regular medium width, then returned for a wide width. Wide fit better but still too stiff. I have two other pairs of Hush Puppies and they were soft and comfortable right out of the box. These will be returned again.

very disappointed in these. I had several HushPuppie shoes growing up that I liked. I even tried inserts. the top of the toe rubs a blister and the soles feel very stiff with an elevated portion like a huge rock under the heel. I kept them for several years since I don't wear them more often, but after the last blister (only wearing them for 2 hours) , I decided to donate them. Life is too short for uncomfortable shoes.

Unfortunately, the shoes were too big. The one and only day I wore them inside at work I was fighting the whole time trying to keep them on my feet and not slip off when I walked in them. Because of this I found them very uncomfortable, especially around the toe area of the shoe. I believe this was due to the design of the shoe and how the shoe front tends to ‘curl’ upward. Also, I found the shoe stiff and rigid - I was happy to get them off my feet after that one day, and I was even happier I could put them back in their box to Zappos for a no-hassle free return and refund! Yay for Zappos!!!

I've wanted to try this shoe for a year and I finally did. Do you see how in the photos, the toe looks upturned? For some reason, this didn't register with me; I thought the shoe just looked really cute overall and I'd love to own a red ballet flat. Well, it won't be this one. The bottom of the shoe is actually turned up at the toes, so it basically forces your metatarasal-phlangeal joints (the ball of your foot) down, which felt like it was flattening out my high arch. I knew this would cause me pain, so back they went. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the quality of the leather or construction of this shoe either.

These shoes are oddly shaped. My foot was forced into a position akin to a Dutch wooden shoe with my toes curling upward much higher than I expected. The heel of the shoe is high, but the back of the heel fabric only rises to 2/3 my heel. I ordered a wide width shoe in my size, and the widest portion was only two centimeters from the end of the toe, which left the actual width of my foot squeezing uncomfortably beneath the edge and cutting into my big toes. As much as I wanted to love these shoes, I wasn't willing to hobble about to break them in and maybe make them comfortable enough to be an every day shoe. Still looking. Both Hushpuppies and Clarks have disappointed me this season, despite usually being excellent brands.

Runs small in my opinion and the toe box was too small.

Very cute but the blunt, squared tie doesn’t work for anybody with a longer second toe!

I felt that this shoe ran large, and certainly crept too far up my ankle, on the outside. Also, the sole is stiff - not my favorite for commuting. It is cute, though.

These shoes look great. The tan leather color is very nice. I ordered a 10W which is my usual size in women's dress shoes. The shoes were wide enough but maybe seemed a little short, and the front of the shoe that goes across the top of the foot was very tightly pressing down making it look like the top of my foot was squishing out of the shoe. I took a few steps in these and they seemed very stiff also. Had to return.

Hurt my feet!! I have never worn a flat shoes that actually hurt my heels! My heels throb after wearing these even with insoles. I wish I would’ve realize this sooner and was able to return them —very disappointed.

The toe curls upward putting pressure on the base of the toes. I liked the style but if the shoe isn't comfortable it has to go!

Returning as they were not true to size

I am extremely disappointed to have to write this. I *love* the way these look, and they would be fantastic with at least 3 outfits I own. Sadly, they don't fit my foot well. They are too tight across the top of my toes, have no arch support, and flop off my foot when I walk. They are also stiff, which means that it is unlikely that "breaking them in" would help any.

I bought these shoes for work and was disappointed with them. I wear an 8W and that's what I ordered. They fell off my feet. I also didn't care for the look of them. They seem to look like a much older person would wear them. If you're planning on ordering them, I'd go a 1/2 size down and maybe not get wide if you wear a wide. They will be going back.

Strangely uncomfortable. The insert piece is hard and plastic. I haven't worn Hush Puppies in years and I assumed the quality was still high, but apparently not. It's a shame; the style is so cute.

I ordered a 9 wide, my usual size. The length and width fit fine, but the shoe cuts severely into the top of my foot. I walked down the hall to test the rest of the shoe, and overall it feels very stiff and uncomfortable.

I've now had 3 pairs of these. All 3 pairs have lost a button within a month of wear. The buttons are poorly attached. I'm disappointed in Hush Puppies which is normally a brand I trust for quality.

These shoes hurt my feet after only wearing a few hours. I did quite a bit of walking today and the pain was awful.

I love the look of these shoes and was very happy they came in extra-wide width. I tried them in my normal size, 8.5, then in 8 and 7.5, but could never find a good fit. My foot slid forward hard in the too-tight front of the shoe, making it very uncomfortable--but even at 7.5 there was still a big gap between my heel and the back of the shoe. I am keeping the one pair I bought and wore for a full day but will regrettably be returning the other pair. Maybe there is a magic combination of width and size that would fit well but I don't want to keep returning and trying different pairs.

I read through the reviews before purchasing these shoes and bought them for comfort. Sadly, these were some of the most uncomfortable shoes I've tried on in a long time! I have some nerve damage in my left foot which can cause a little swelling. The bridge of these shoes felt like it was cutting right into the top of my foot. If it had only been my left foot that I experienced discomfort in, I would have kept these shoes until a day on which there was no swelling. However, the pain that shot through the ball of my right foot, that I have no problems with, caused me to immediately box them up to be returned. I'm still quite perplexed regarding my experience with this shoe. Since so many others have professed to the comfort of this style, I suppose there is a slim chance that I received a pair with a manufacturing flaw.

They had to go back. Too tight across the toe, so loose in the heel I couldn't walk three steps without walking out of them. Don't judge them necessarily by my foot, though. Shoes typically do that to me. I should have known to find one with a strap or tie to keep them on.

Very cute shoe, but the sizing is so small. I ordered my normal 5.5 but couldn't get my foot into the shoe. So will send it back and continue to shop for a brand I know runs true to size

Cute, but not comfortable. Too low in the topline for my foot. I also bought the Aravon Andrea, and I liked those.
