Drew Rockford\'s have a wonderful rugged look. I bought these boots because they come in 6E widths. They have a nice round toe for comfort. For a boot, they are comfortable to wear. They are lightweight which adds to the comfort. They are also insulated and waterproof. I do not need the insulation but I can use the waterproofing ability because of our rainy season. When lacing the boots, the upper hooks are open. It is the only feature I do not like. As I have become familiar with the Rockfords, lacing is no problem. I would recommend these boots.

The first shoe in my 51yr history to fit my wide feet with no compromise. I usually measure a 13EEEE but until now shoes matching that size are always 'snug' and my foot eventually busts through the sides. No more. Plenty of room without being an echo chamber. This must be how normal-feet-people feel when they buy shoes.

Shoes are very comfy and true to size; however, the eyelets for the laces are very poor quality and low grade to the point than when lacing the shoes and tying the metal eyes fall off. Very cheap quality products used and not built to last. Would not recommend this shoe because of the poor quality and lack of attention to detail on the most important part for keeping your shoe on your foot.

Boot was comfortable from the start. No break in needed. This is my second pair, still working on my first which I have had for 2 years. Just want a pair to have as back up so I don't have to hunt for them when I wear out the first. My size and width make it harder to find shoes that fit me correctly. I am very hard on my footwear and need it to perform. A little warm in the summer but the low boot style helps with that.

I am very pleased with these shoes! Comfort, fit,(14 6E), durability, waterproof, and arch support are all excellent.

My spouse purchased a pair of business casual shoes by Drew to take on a recent vacation to Israel and Turkey; we did lots of walking, and the shoes were very comfortable, durable, and looked great. He wanted a pair of boots to use when hunting (here in Texas he hunts dove and quail) and when exercising our three hunting dogs. He loves the Drew boots; they are wide in the toe bed, accommodate this orthotics, and have a steel shank (something the foot doctor said was helpful for persons who have had painful foot issues). While they are rather expensive, they seem to be very worth the money.

My husband also has a pair of Danner boots that have Thinsulate and Gore-tex, making them good for cold and wet hunting situations.

My husband wears a size 12.5 EEEE and this was the only boot available so we took a chance on them. He took the 13 4W and although a little room they fit fabulously. They are comfortable, waterproof and as sleek as any boot this big can be. Highly recommended!

More than I'm used to spending but well worth it. Most comfortable ankle top shoes I've owned, with excellent tread.

By far, the best all around travel boot I have tried in 6 years. The Drew Rockford is extremely comfortable and seems very well built. I haven\'t had them very long, but the only way I see any of the hardware popping off is if you tie your laces with crack-strength. This boot is on a whole other level when compared to Keens. I wish Drew made more non-nursing-home-styled shoes.

I was looking for a pair or boots that I could use for light hiking and hunting. I have a size 13 extra wide (EEE) foot and also use arch supports in my shoes so I need a full EE or 4E width. I tried to find a high quality major brands like Danner and Asolo, but Zappos doesn't sell Danner and the Asolo brand was not wide enough. So I had to look for another brand that would suit my needs. In terms of these boots, these are not as stiff a boot as a Asolo. They are more of a comfort boot. The soles claim to be made of a slip resistant material that is oil resistant, though I have not had the opportunity to test them. If you are looking for a true hiking boot and don't have an overly wide foot like mine, I would try the Asolo brand over this. I did go hunting with these boots and my feet stayed warm and comfortable. For what I got, I think these boots should be less expensive, but with a wide foot my options were limited.

This is a great boot but overpriced. They lasted me one year before they started to split. Also the shoe lace eyes left rust marks on all my work pants. I'd buy them and do modifications but not for the price set now.

I bought the Rockford because in my size 15EEEE. If the Wolverine Rainier came in this size I would have bought it instead. Neither boot is perfect. Both are supposed to be waterproof and insulated. But the Rainier has Durashock bottom which is softer, whereas the Rockford's soles are stiff. Hitting the pavement isn't a problem but the foot doesn't bend. It is like walking on boards. The ankle is also stiff so it reduces your mobility. One advantage the Rockford has is its straight big toe, so that it doesn't pinch your toes. But with the straight toe you won't need to overcompensate and get a wider size. I could've done with a 15EE.

Boot fit okay, but my legs pain after about 5 minutes of walking. Hopefully it will get better as I break them in. Also the top grommet on the boot has fallen off! Again I am hopeful that the rest will remain fastened. I can't return the boots because Zappos does not have a replacement pair at this time.

My husband is very pleased with these boots. He usually takes 11 4E, I bought 11 6E and that proved to be a perfect fit. The boots appear to be well made, he has not had them long enough to comment on how well they will stand up to wear. Of late it is very difficult to find footwear that are wide enough and these are. If you have wide feet or bunions get these.

Imagine my surprise to find a boot in my actual width! Not only that, but it is available through Zappos, not New Balance, which has been keeping me in freakishly wide shoes for more than a decade. But New Balance doesn't have boots in my true width. Zappos has my business for the rest of my life!

The boot seems well made but ran long and was about the widest shoe I've ever tried on (I usually get 3E so ordered 4E). It was so wide and long that I went down a half size which was still large! Quality seems good and I'm happy someone makes a hiking boot that fits my Hobbit feet. Style is so-so, the toe box is very rounded - great for my feet, not so great for looks. Overall pretty basic look. Soles are quite hard and footbed is rather stiff but I assume it will break in over time. That all said, I couldn't find another hiking boot that fit well and didn't squeeze my toes (after trying almost 10 others).

Drew boots have a plastic cup in the toe, similar in coverage to a composite toe but softer. These routinely are shaped wrong for my feet in the large and wide sizes (14-15 4E) and tear up the tops of my toes within 10-15 minutes of wearing them. You can feel the edge of the cup by reaching into the toe, and feeling the upper edge about 3 inches from the front.

Horrible. They do not breathe whatsoever. By the end of a work day my feet are wrinkled like a prune as if I've been in a bathtub all day. Not real comfortable either. The leather is not durable at all, showing scuff marks immediately. The worst boots I've ever bought, and were as expensive as red wings. Do not buy these! I would buy another different pair of boots if I hadn't spent so much money on these and been broke from it. I just have to suffer now!

If you want the comfort of a well made shoe. This is the one. Even if the outside doesn’t looks so good. The inside is still as comfortable as ever. I am a return buyer of size 12 6 E. Big men need better shoes when you are on your feet all day. Winning by Drew.

These are the most comfortable and well-constructed boots my husband has ever worn! He wears a size 14-15 shoe, but hadn't found a boot wide enough until we bought him this one. He also likes the rounded toe, rather than a pointed one. We will be buying him another pair, so he can use one pair for everyday and one pair for dress. This one is a winner!
