I like the shoe, but the sizing is all wrong. I had to return my first pair for a size larger. Now the shoe feels very wide. I get teased for wearing them too, I'm told they look like an orthopedic shoe :) Luckily I have a good sense of humor.

Order at least 1/2 size up! I wear 7M most of time, and occasionally get a 6.5 in open toe to get it a little narrower. I had to have 7.5 in this one. It's very short across the toes, but once you get it long enough it feels great! I will get Shape Up sandals when weather warms a little.

I like my Skechers but I find them difficult to wear for long periods of time. I think it is just a matter of getting used to them. They are a much better deal than the MBT's! I bought the Earth shoe and my back killed me every time I wore them. I work at a gym and I like teaching strength classes in the Skechers (they make you stand tall) but I find it more difficult when I have to move around fast.

I'm not sure that wearing these is truly helping me get better calves, but I like to think it is, so I wear them around the house! Comfy, and they really don't take any "getting used to" as one of the ads suggests. Walking in them is easy. They do look a bit odd (big and bulky), which I suppose is because of the rounded sole. Perhaps if I had purchased a solid color instead of blue/white, it would look less bulky. But overall I don't have too many complaints!

C widths can fit into these. I have one foot 7.5W and one foot 8M. I usually buy 8W in sneakers to fit comfy socks. I was told to try MBTs for my back/foot problems. None came in wide. I tried 8.5 in a bunch of styles and none fit. In a 9 one of them sort of fit, but was a little too long and little too narrow. I decided to try the less expensive Skechers. I ordered 8.5 in a bunch of styles and all of them fit. These were the best and almost seemed too wide. Trust me, they are not narrow. In 8.5 these are the widest of the 5 Skechers I tried. The Stability would be next. These are also the lightest and more mesh than leather. I suspect this style will be the most comfortable but wear out the quickest. Skechers Stability is a tad more sturdy with more leather. MBTs are much heavier and sturdier, but they run too narrow for me and are more than twice the price.

MBTs if you can find a sale and have narrow/average width.

They are very comfortable, really like them. You feel it in your calves after wearing all day, but probably not worth the price! I do like them, but a little pricey.

I find the Skechers Shape Ups to be too wide in proportion to the length. Only way I can wear them is with super thick socks. I like the deep toe box, however, and find them comfortable to walk in if I am wearing the thick socks. I wear a 10.5 and ordered an 11. Would be fine if they were narrower.

At the top, this shoe has only one eyelet for lacing so one cannot adjust the fit across the top of the shoe; many folks don't, but I need it tighter and regret being that I can't adjust it. Most sport shoes have two so that one can choose a high or lot top lace position or can adjust the lacing so as to make a tight fit across the top of the foot. At half the price of MBT's, this is a satisfactory rocker shoe, comfortable and easy to walk in. I do think you get more of a workout in the rockers than in a normal sports shoe. Since one takes smaller steps in rockers, you'll walk more slowly than usual, and you do use different muscles. The MBT's were too wide for me, and I didn't like the fact that they need to be resoled within a year after purchase, adding to their expense. They are also heavier than the Skechers. They do seem to have a serious design team behind them though.

Bummed! I ordered 1/2 size larger knowing athletic shoes run small. I wear 8 1/2 - 9 depending on styles and all my past Skechers size 9 works for me. I was surprised these are easily 1 full size too short in the toe! I wore them around my house and after 15 minutes felt an ingrown toenail type pain, felt like my big toe was curled under ..owww! No way could I walk anywhere. Packed them & sending back, these I will have to purchase in a store to know the right fit for me. Aside from the tight/short toe fit. They do feel like pillow, you almost roll in them. I did not get to enjoy the calf stretch others mentioned in their reviews due to the dire toe pain! LOL

Love Zappos, so easy to do business with and my orders arrive next day and no hassles. As for the Skecher Shape Ups and they make my feet hurt. I do have flat feet and will get inserts to see if this helps. When I walk in them now, it feels as though my feet have no support and they do not feel that way when I wear regular tennis.

These run at least 1/2 size SHORT. I always wear a 7 and many times a 6 1/2. The 7 in this shoe had my toes pushed against the end even before I stood up. For some reason they are very wide and short. If that's your foot shape, they should be great for you!

These didn't work out for me at all! One of my knees started to feel achy after I took a long walk - 8 miles - in them. I had walked relatively short distances before that - a mile or two. That may have been the problem, but I've been reading articles that suggest these types of shoes are not for everyone, including people like me who have no problems that the shoes are meant to help with. I just got them because I thought they help me build up my calves a bit faster. Now, I don't know what to do with them.

I have been wearing MBTs and Fitflops since I knew about them and love how they work. MBTs are pricey and the toe box is super narrow so they don’t fit me unless I go up 2 sizes and then they are still narrow in the toes. I like the shape of Skecher shape ups because the toe is broader and after reading many great reviews, I decided to give them a try. After all, they are MUCH less expensive than MBTs and if they work the same, then I would love them. Well, as soon as I got them on my feet, I realized there is absolutely 0 lateral (side to side) support so they feel very unstable to walk in. Since most women tend to pronate while walking, lateral support is critical in any sport/walking shoe and surely a sport shoe company would know that! I tried these on at a fitness store and was actually warned about them by the employees. I would save my money for the real deal because they not only work, but they have the necessary support to prevent injuries.
