These boots are great. Felt very comfortable and true to size. I returned them only because they felt "too high" on my ankle. I was hoping the "mid"may have been lower. I wish these came in a "low." I would buy them. Highly recommend them if you are comfortable with that higher walking boot feel. Just not for me and my need at this time.

These are great boots. They are easy to slip your feet into, comfortable to wear, light weight, and although they may look like they would not be suited to hot weather, they are. And equally warm in the cold. I have just two reservations. One, they are obviously expensive. And two, they can squeak. Which is both annoying and odd. I could not walk down the hallway without getting pissed off. At first, I though it was the sole somehow doing that, and tried inserts. No luck. The noise got so bothersome that I didn't want to wear them. Then. it occurred to me that it might be the uppers. I washed the boots, and the noise has disappeared (so far). With that caveat, I can recommend these wholeheartedly. You'll like them.

So everything that you have read about the boot being small is true. I generally wear an 11D in most shoes, 11.5 in running shoes. I ordered 12 based on reviews. At first sight, fell in love with the boot. Put them on and was immediately disappointed, too tight. Length is about right. Loosened the laces, a little better. Wore around on the carpet. Resolved myself that I would have to send them back and get a refund as there are no widths available. Hated the idea cause they look good. Decided to pull the insole out. Pulled insole out of both boots. They fit perfect. Have worn for several days and they feel great. Great walking the line all day on concrete and grass. Love 'em. For the price just wish they would offer some widths.
I'd also recommend:

Have worn this pair out after about 500+ miles, including a 26-mile Bataan Death March marathon hike across the White Sands Desert. Comfortable right out of the box with no break-in required. Only beef is that heels wore through and are non-replacable.

I wore these boots on a military exercise. Initially for 30 kilometers with about 90 pounds on my back, then for two weeks in the field. They are very comfortable, and with the right pair of socks and insoles require no break in period. I would recommend good merino wool socks (I wore Fox Rivers) and the green or blue SuperFeet insoles work well for prolonged periods with weight on your back. I normally throw away all factory insoles from the beginning because they have always been sub par. The boots feel true to size to me, I normally wear a size 11 and went with that for these boots without a problem. They are more water resistant than fully water proof. I spent a couple hours in the rain and my feet managed to get pretty wet. This might have been more to water riding my legs down into my socks and less from the outside of the boots themselves. Either way I will be buying another pair. They are highly recommended.

Ive purchased several pair of these over the past few years. But the last 2 pairs Ive purchased have not been up to par. On this last pair I decided to return them due to the color of the suede did not match the color of the exterior fabric. The rubber of the soles seems very changed. And when I walked on a hard floor they squeaked badly. That’s a deal breaker for me. I might try these again in a year or so because I have really liked them. But there seem to be serious quality slips in recent production.

I really like these shoes. Comfortable and durable it seems. Great looks. But mine squeak and creak as I walk which drives me nuts. It seems to be the shoelace material rubbing in the eyelet fabric on the lower part of the shoe. Whether tied loosely or tightly, Squeak, squeak, squeak... argh.
