I had wanted a pair of Hunter boots for at least a year, so I finally ordered these in the red gloss. I ordered a half size down and found that they are a bit snug in the calf, but they do fit - even with jeans tucked in. They are super comfy and dry, and I've received many compliments so far. I'm looking forward to the next rainy day!

Loved the boots. Everyone said they ran big, so order down a size. I agree they run big but I don't like my toes all the way to the top of the boot.

Super cute boots. I've only worn them once and they aren't the most comfortable but I am hoping they break in a little in the heel / ankle. I got a size 8 and usually wear an 8.5 and the fit is right. The socks (bought separately) are a little uncomfortable because the stitching around the toe is very thick, and they don't stay up over the boots though.

These boots do keep my feet dry, and I love that they're a few inches taller than the average rain boot, so they look sleeker overall. The fit could be better, though - I usually wear US 7.5; 38 was too small so I have to wear 39, which actually feels big. Also, the insole started tearing after I wore them a few times and the arch support could be better.

Yeah, great boots! A few things to note: 1) I measured my foot and used Zappos sizing and it said I was a size 10 (my foot measures about 10" from heel to big toe, no sock). I've never been a size 10, more like a size 8 or 8.5, so I ordered the 8 and they are great for fit. 2) these boot totally rubbed my one ankle bone beyond belief. I tried thin socks, thick socks, liners, etc. but the only thing that worked was buying a pair of inserts and placing them on top of the insert already in the boot. This cuts down a smidge on the height of the boot on the leg, but if it's the only way I can walk without pain, I'll take it. Overall I love them, but wish I didn't have to modify and spend $45 for a pair of inserts to make them work. Great grip in the muddy and dog poopy park and wonderful through puddles of all sizes.

I was excited to try the "gloss" Hunters because the description says the circumference is an inch larger than the originals but unfortunately they fit exactly the same as the other pairs I've tried. I could get them over my calves, but not comfortably.

Love these boots! They are great in cold soggy weather. The treads on the bottom make sure you won't slip on wet leaves. The height of the boot also makes sure that your feet won't get wet. A great investment.

The boots look fantastic, the color is bright, shiny and perfect. The size run a bit large. The boots are too heavy in my opinion, but the look is as I said perfect.

I love the color of these boots! It's just really happy and bright fun color for a rainy, drab day. The fit is true to size, but the first time I wore them they did rub the back of my heel. They are extremely comfortable and great boot to walk around in in nasty weather. A tad expensive but overall worth the buy if you can justify wearing often.

I highly recommend these boots. After a rough winter and a few basement floods I wore out my cheap pair of wellies and decided to invest in a pair of Hunter Boots. I had the opportunity to test out my new Hunter Wellies this past week and I love them! I have the black gloss...adorable! The fit is slightly loose in the ankle, and a little snug on my athletic calves. However, I have already noticed some stretching out. I have found the boots to be true to my size 8. Definitely worth the investment. The boots are stylish, yet practical.

I had to return them for a smaller size (a 9 for a 10). I wear a 10 but my foot slid all over inside them. The 9 is fine and very comfortable. They're kind of "clunky" looking in bigger sizes but then most shoes are when you are "blessed" with big feet!

I ordered a size 7 (down a size from my regular size 8) as I read that they run big. They arrived the next day (fast shipping) and while the boot fit me perfectly there was no room in the calf to insert jeans, etc. Mind you I have quite skinny legs. So I returned the boots and ordered an 8. The boot now has room in the calf for jeans, etc. but the boot itself is too big. I feel very frumpy walking in them. I kept them as I will insert the socks in the boot in the winter, but overall I was disappointed in the boot.

I love these boots. I have size 11 feet and these boots actually had extra room in them. They are overall very comfortable.I also bought those liners, which added a nice touch. The only thing I have a slight problem with is that it runs a little tight around athletic calves.

I love Hunter boots and wanted a pair for awhile. I ordered these and the calf was too small for my athletic legs. I loved the gloss and the color, but had to go with the Huntress style instead. It gave more room to wear these with jeans and scrub pants. The original gloss only left room for leggings. I wish Hunter would make the Huntress in fun and glossy colors too! PS: The actual foot size seemed bigger. I am usually an 8 in boots and got the 39. even with thicker socks i had tons of room...so I would suggest going a size down. the calf size is the same for all though.

I highly recommend these boots! They fit best if worn with the Hunter fleece socks or your own socks. Very effective at keeping feet and legs dry and stylish in the rain.

These are very cute boots; love the color. Very comfortable and they do the job of keeping my feet dry on rainy days, although I can tell already that they will not be very warm, even with the liners that I bought. One point to be aware of and they are very tall. I have short legs (29 in. inseam) and the boots literally come up to my knees.

I couldn't see myself in patterned or multi-colored rain boots, so I purchased these. I found them to be very sleek looking and kind of sophisticated.

These boots are definitely not made for people with calves that are all that muscular or on the wider side! Mine fit into these, but if I decide to take up mountain biking or become a marathoner and build up my calf muscles anymore, they're not going to fit! They do run rather large in the foot area despite running so small up the calf. I usually wear a size 8.5, but most reviews said that these boots ran a bit large, so I ordered down and got a 39/UK 6 (US Women's 8/US Men's 7). If these were sold in half sizes I'd have gone down even a half size more, that's how bit they run! That being said, they're cute and functional. I bought them in red and they are so cute.

They fit perfect. I am on a college campus. I am walking a lot, and these boots keep your feet dry and look cute! All for an excellent price.

I currently have La Canadienne and Aquatalia waterproof leather boots for work, but wanted one that I can get dirty and walk through the foot or so flooded gutters that we get in SF during a rain storm. At first I tried the children's version of the boot but found that it was not tall enough. These are about as tall as I can go (I am 5'2") without it hitting me behind the knees. Even so, it is hard for me to drive since the back part tends to get hung up on my car seat. I got the lime green color and I've received many compliments on the boot. It is comfortable but no arch support at all, so I use a pair of orthotics with the shoe. Also because of its height, it is difficult to remove if you are not flexible. It certainly keeps my feet and legs dry and I'm happy to have the boots. Also, I have 14.5" calves and they fit my calves enough to accommodate socks or leggings. Boots have good traction.

I currently own these in turquoise blue which is beautiful, bright and eye catching. These are very well made, sturdy boots. I would say they run 1/2 a size larger than stated, they fit more like a size 7 1/2. I normally wear a size 7 in USA sizing so this is the Hunter size that fit me the best, the label inside my boot says: UK5/US 6-7/EU 38. I found the next size smaller would have been too tight with thick socks on so I got this size. They're too roomy with normal socks on; I absolutely must wear very thick hiking socks with these boots. I'm not sure if I want to keep them or not because my husband said they look a bit juvenile on me, I'm 44 but look 36. I try to avoid looking like I'm trying to be younger than I am so I'm still not sure if I will be keeping these, I may return them and get a more subdued color next year when they get these boots back in again in all the colors. A color such as the 'graphite' I think would come across a little more adult.

I am a size 8 and originally told to order down, but the size 7 was too tight. The size 8 is a little roomy, even with thick socks. Love the look. Ordered 2 day express delivery and they appeared on my doorstep the next day-soooo fantastic, way to go zappos!

Really nice rain boots, you can feel it is high quality material right away and they are very comfortable to wear, I did not find them to be tight on the calf. The violet colour is more of a hot pink, and I absolutely love it. Also, got the fleece socks, I wear them on snowy days and it does keep me warm.

Great boots. I disagree with the review below that said they are too heavy. For what they are, tall rubber boots, they\'re fairly light. Maybe I\'m a Clydesdale, I don\'t know lol. I actually was expecting taller, thinner shafts. In person, they look a bit wider and shorter. I\'m a runner, about 5\'9" 136 lbs, and don\'t have what you\'d call tiny calves, but my legs fit in the shafts fine even with jeans on. \r\n\r\nThese do run large. I am a 9.5 in most normal street shoes, a 10 in running shoes, and the 9 felt a bit large with regular-thickness socks. Felt more fitted with thicker ski socks, but I can\'t see wearing super-thick socks on those hot summer days when it\'s monsooning here in Houston. Just FYI, if you intend to wear them with regular socks, size way down. If too large, the heels will allow your foot to escape, as is common with any brand of rain boot.\r\n\r\nArch support isn\'t really there - easily fixed with some insoles, which may actually help the fit. These boots may arrive looking like they have a residue on them - that\'s just the protective wax. Wipe off with a warm, damp cloth. Overall, very stylish, cute enough to wear out to a movie on a rainy day.
