Absolutely in love with this boot! Feels great to walk in because of the support and goes with all of my outfits. The plum color is a great alternative to black or gray and adds a pop of color!

I purchased my short Hunter boots from Zappos and loved them so I decided to buy the tall ones also! I buy many of my shoes from Zappos and love them all! The service is outstanding!

Love these boots! Every time I wear them I get so many compliments. The coral color goes with surprisingly, almost everything! Comfy, cute and sassy!

I love these! I ordered them in my normal size and they are perfect even with thick socks.

Awesome boots! The shank is long and lands high on my calf which I like. I have high arches and wear with arch supporting and cushioning insoles. They're perfect for the mud and slop, and with thick socks they're fine in the snow too.

I just got my boots and I absolutely love these! I can't wait to wear them out in the snow or rain. They are so comfortable and lightweight. I usually wear a 8 1/2 but went with others reviews about going down in a size, so I ordered an 8 and they fit perfectly. I ordered the graphite 1 and it is a beautiful gray color that adds just a little pop of color to your fall outfit. They look great with skinny jeans or leggings. I highly recommend these! Love them!

Love these! Stylish, not too bulky and are true to size (with room for heavy socks). A few notes - not really cons for me, but could be for others. They are very heavy - it's a bit of a workout to wear them all day, especially if you're chasing after a toddler like me. Also, the boots fit my legs well, but I have pretty narrow legs - so I could see how these would be too tight for someone with wider or more muscular legs. Overall, I would buy a pair in every color - love them!

Love these boots! I purchased them to wear while walking my dog this winter. The island where I live sees a lot of rain in the winter, barely any snow. I have had them for about a month now, they are so comfortable! I ordered a full size up because I wanted to tuck jeans in them and wear heavier socks in colder weather. They are perfect - plenty of room. We walk three to four miles a day over all sorts of terrain and these have never once caused irritation or blisters. Not a whole lot of arch support but if that is something you require I think an insert would work well. They are also super stylish and I have received a ton of compliments. I would highly recommend these boots! The red is gorgeous as well!

I have two Hunter boots. I normally wear anywhere between size 6 1/2 and 7 1/2 shoe. Because of this I have a size 6 and 7 for my Hunter boots. I can wear my size 6 with thin socks to wool socks. Since I live in Wisconsin it can get very cold so I need more layers. I bought my size 7 hunters to fit my wellies and wool socks since it was too snug with the size 6. If you are a half size go to the smaller size. Without the wellies and socks I'd swim in the size 7. Overall I love these boots, but I found both on super sale. That is the only reason I have two pairs.

Love these boots! I am pretty much a true 8 (though sometimes a 7 1/2) and I ordered an 8 which fit true to size. I wanted room for thick socks so I can use these in snow as well as rain. I have short legs and these come up pretty much to my knees but they are comfy nonetheless. Fit well with the Hunter socks.

Love these boots. I usually wear a size 7.5-8 in Women's, so I went with a size 7. They fit perfectly. Wish I could buy them in every color!

These are fabulous for Ohio weather! I'm 5'6 with 13" calves, and they fit with socks (heavier, even) and skinny jeans tucked in. The height is perfect-actually a little shorter than all my tall leather boots. I typically wear 7.5-8, and the size 7 boots fit perfect. With thick socks my toes are right at the edge, but they don't rub or feel uncomfortable. I would be swimming in an 8, as the heels are a bit looser. I think they have to be to get these puppies off and on with ease! I tromped around in them in the rain last night for the first time-I was on a 3-hour ghost tour, and they were so comfy and perfect. Lots of reviewers say they are heavy, but even after all that walking and going up and down steps, they felt fine to me. I bought the bright plum gloss-oh what a beautiful and fun color! They'll work perfectly with a spring wardrobe, too. There is a faint rubbery smell, but I'm guessing that dissipates. I'm glad I made the splurge, as I'll get lots of use out of them in all seasons. I wore them to work today (casual day) even though it's not rainy because they are so dang cute and comfortable.

LOVE my hunters. They're so warm and cozy. Definitely a bit heavy but perfect for rain and snow.

I love the look of these boots, they are comfy and well made, but way too big in the calf for me. I am 5"4" 105lb and the boots made a slapping sound on my calf when I walked around. Lol! I exchanged for the tour version and they fit much better, since they are a bit slimmer and not as stiff. Wish I could do the original, as they have more colors to choose from.

I love these boots! Despite other buyers saying to purchase a size smaller I bought my normal size (7) and while they do feel a bit large, maybe half a size at most, they fit perfectly with a pair of Hunter boot socks or other thick socks! I am looking forward to a heavy rain so I can get some use out of them!

I love the red. I did have to order a size down. I am normally a size 7 but they were HUGE. I do not intend on wearing with very thick socks as I live in the South but I can still wear a 6 with a sock.

Happy to leave a review to help with sizing which is important with these boots. I am 5 1/2 and have worn size 6 my whole life because they are more available for the most part and can wear them fine. I ordered the 6's and was swimming in them...even with the welly socks inside! Huge boot foot on these...then I ordered the 5 and they fit perfect (not tight at all) even with room for the fleece welly socks. So minimally go down 1/2 size...possibly a full size. They are cute. I am short at 5'2" and they are still nice and not bothering me at my knee or anything like that. I have average sized calves (not skinny not huge) and they fit perfect with some room to spare. Love Military Red! Gorgeous red. I plan on wearing these on our Grand Canyon paddling trip in a month. We are 3 weeks on the river and I was told rain boots are imperative as we all have to pee in the river and will be grabbing these a lot for that and other purposes. They are so cute that I envision also wearing them with black tights/skinny pants (to go into boots) and a black sweater. Way cute!

The Hunter boots are awesome. They do run a bit large, but that is comfy since I want to wear thicker warm socks with them for our rainy weather here in the Pacific Northwest. I want to comment that Zappos has the best customer service on the planet! When I called to ask them about one of the buckles that didn't seem to be right, they immediately shipped out another pair with no questions asked. They wanted my boots to be perfect. The Zappos person on the phone was courteous, professional, kind and apologetic! Wow! I want to work for a company like Zappos that cares this much about one customer who purchased one little item. I am a customer relations manager and Zappos sets the standard for how to treat customers.

I'm a numbers person, so I'll use numbers to structure my review with the hope it's more helpful! I'm a 5'4 female with a 9.5-10 sized foot. I have wide feet and average (15 in) calf size. I ordered a 9 and 10 just to be sure I had the correct size. The 9 is perfect. Hunter does not recommend buying a size above or below your normal shoe size! They make the boots slightly larger to accommodate varying thicknesses of socks. The 9 is perfect! I've tried the boots on with thin tights, cotton socks, and thick wool socks. I'm able to walk comfortably in all three types of socks. Yes, there's obviously more room with tights vs. wool socks, but I'm still happy with the fit regardless of what sock I'm wearing. I also tried the boots on while wearing skinny jeans and did not feel cramped in the calf area.The boots hit me below the crease of my knee, so the boot height is not an issue. I'm really glad I didn't order the Huntress as they would've cut me off mid-calf, leaving my legs looking chunky. The Original style makes my legs look taller. If calf size isn't an issue for you, I suggest purchasing the Original vs. Huntress.

Military Red gloss original Hunter's can't be beaten! I also have them in lipstick pink but this RED is to die for. It's true brilliant red. No hint of orange, not faded or coral. It's a perfect punchy color and so great for Fall and Winter. LOVE! Shines up with armour-all (to remove the white bloom).

First off, I love these boots! I got the Hunter Original Gloss in Graphite. I debated on what size to get...I typically wear a 7.5. I read lots of reviews that said to size down. I would agree with that as long as you do not plan on wearing the Hunter Fleece Socks with the boots. I ended up keeping the size 7 only because I decided that I wouldn't wear the fleece liners with the boots. If I were planning on wearing the fleece liners, I would definitely have kept the size 8. So, keep that in mind when deciding whether to size up or size down.

I wear a 71/2 normally and ordered a 7. The boot fits perfectly. Maybe an 8 would've been better for thicker socks and breathing room. Otherwise they look great and I receive compliments every day I wear them. They feel thick and seem to be quality rain boots so far, but I have only had them for a month.

If you've never owned a pair of Hunters, do yourself a favor and get these now! Very comfortable and stylish. I love this color because it is a good neutral.

I was debating for a few months on whether or not I should buy these boots. I am so so happy I did! They are even more beautiful in person and are perfect for rainy days and slushy Wisconsin winters. After reading a few of the reviews saying they run large I decided to order a size down (I am normally an 8 and I ordered a 7). The size 7 boots were too small with thick socks. I was disappointed but exchanging them for a size 8 was so incredibly easy. Within 24 hours I had my new boots! If you're on the fence about these boots, get them! They are well worth the price!

We bought these for my husband's assistant who is a senior at UW LaCrosse. She cried and sobbed when she opened them. She has wanted these for awhile. She is extremely happy with them and loves them.
