Love these boots! I've had more compliments in the last 2 weeks than any other rain boot I've ever purchased. Very durable and keeps your feet dry. As far as size, most people say to size down but if you're planning to wear these with the fleece sock I would stay true to size.

I have a pair of original hunters in the boa pattern. I have had them for 5 years and I loved them. Perfect rain boot and a bit funky. I basically wore them down, so I decided to get a new pair. I was a bit overwhelmed --- glossy or plain, original or huntress, touring? so many choices. I got the touring first and honestly they felt a bit flimsy. I wear my rain boots all the time, even when it is not raining because they are usually by the door and easier to put on for a quick run to the store, etc. So, I need a good sturdy boot. I returned the touring and got the huntress in glossy black -- way too big in the calf and hit at a weird place in the calf. So then I returned those (God bless Zappos and their return policy) and got the original in glossy graphite and plain military red. I LOVE the glossy graphite. It is a little interesting without being cartoonish. The original tall boot is sturdy, fits in the calves, and hits right below the knee. I am 5'5, with athletic calves (14.5in around) and I felt like the tall original fit perfectly. Could I stuff bell bottoms in there? No -- but skinny jeans, tights, and leggings would work just fine. I also like the fact that they hit right below the knee, so you are more protected and your legs look longer. I chose the gloss because it blooms less, but I don't mind a bit of blooming. It is rain boot -- it should not look immaculate. I am really excited to wear these boots for 5 years until I wear them down. A word about Zappos -- their customer service is amazing. They allowed me to do returns and I ALWAYS got my boots the next day, unlike some other retailers (ahem, Amazon). A+

Love the color! It's a perfect match to my rain slicker. This is my first purchase of Hunter boots. I will be a customer for life. Superior quality. And kudos to Zappos for their competitive price and fast delivery!

I don't know why people say these boots run big because they don't. I wear a size 9, but based on reviews I ordered down a size, to an 8. My toes were hitting the front of the boots in regular socks so no way could I wear thick socks during cold weather. Order your normal size and you should be fine.

Always impressed with Zappos! They have everything and get it to you practically before you order it. They have spoiled me for many years!

My teenage daughter loves these boots. She returned the black pair because she thought they looked dull. She took a chance on this color and she was so happy she did. They are colorful but aren't too bright and can be worn with just about everything.

I normally wear a size 9 or 9.5, so I first ordered these in a 9. They were disappointingly enormous on me, a good inches too long and very loose around my calves. I'm 5'9 and 125 pounds and am accustomed to boots fitting loosely on my legs, but these were too much. Zappos immediately shipped out an exchange size 8, which I was excited to find fit perfectly. They're still not right around my calves, but they look stylish with skinny jeans or dresses. I love the pillar box red color and have gotten endless compliments everywhere I go. Strangers are always stopping to tell me how much they like my boots - instant confidence booster and so fun to splash through puddles in as the snow is melting away!

Great for rain, snow and slush! I ordered up a size in these (usually a 9 but ordered a 10) and then ordered an UGG furry insole for the bottom of the boot. It was a little snug at first but quickly became perfectly comfortable. The insole gives that little extra cushion and warmth. I couldn't get over how warm the boots kept my feet with thin socks while walking through snow. Even after walking around the city for a few hours, my feet weren't overly tired like I thought they'd be. I highly recommend these boots (with or without UGG insole). Problem is now I want additional colors.

I love these boots, but I feel like they definitely run big. I bought one size smaller than my normal size and I think I could have gotten away with two sizes smaller.

Love these and get compliments every time I wear them. I bought them in the Military Red color since it such a deep, true red color. I love it! Regarding size, I normally wear a 7 and that's what I ordered even though some folks say they run large. I knew I'd be wearing thick socks with them 99% of the time and they fit perfectly with a medium to heavy sock. If you want to wear something thinner with them occasionally, you can order the shearling inserts from Hunter (which is what I did) and use those when wearing hose/tights or thin socks. Then just remove the shearling inserts when wearing them with a medium to heavy weight sock.

It was common to hear they ran big, however I found that inaccurate. I had to return them for my normal size. They are a little heavy, don't try and walk a marathon in them. Touring style are lighter. Overall I love these boots, more so for the ascetics.

These boots were a gift for my son's girlfriend. She loves them. Fit perfect to size. Super fast shipping. I love Zappos.

I normally wear a size 12, and got these in a size 11 and they fit just fine. I can wear regular socks with them. They are comfortable and very stylish. Adds some color to rainy slushy days.

I had been searching for the perfect shade of red Hunter boots and wanted them to have a matte finish. Well, I was having 'no such luck'. I resorted to ordering the glossy pillar box red. Can I just say, "Wow!" These are it! These are the exact shade I have been wanting and they are hardly glossy...just enough to make them pretty! I'm in love! (Sidenote: I typically wear a 9.5/10 shoe and always order a 9 in Hunters.)

I bought these for cleaning the duck barns, so far they are working wonderfully. My feet and legs stay dry in wet and dirty conditions. The rubber is soft and comfortable to wear. The tread is adequate to keep good footing. I actually wore through the bottom of my Boggs, so expect to put some miles on these. I hope they are up to the task.

So happy I bought these boots! I ordered both a 5 and a 6 since they run big. I am a consistent 6.5 in most shoes- the 5 was a perfect fit with little wiggle room and super tight with the wellies, therefore I opted to keep the size 6 which is a little big, but feels great with the welly socks that were just too cute!

Love these boots. The red is great and I get a ton of compliments on them. They're comfortable to wear all day, though a bit on the warm side so I'm not sure how that will be once the weather gets warmer. I am usually an 8 1/2, but because of other reviews I got a size 8 and they fit perfectly. Highly recommend.

Got the Graphite 1, beautiful! First pair of Hunter's and I'm pleased with my purchase. I'm usually a 7 but I kept hearing about they were a lot bigger so I ordered a 6. They fit great! Zappos is also fantastic by not forcing me to pay an outrageous amount for shipping.

I absolutely love these boots. The color is amazing and the quality of the product is superior! Can't beat Zappos for the most amazing customer experience as well! I'm in love.

Yay! Just got my Hunter boots yesterday. I just love, them. They're true to size. I wear a size 8 and they fit perfectly. Not too tight, just right. I ordered the black gloss ones. I just adore them. Will be ordering the graphite ones next. They're so stylish and you can wear them with any outfit. I love just wearing with my stretch pants or skinny leg jeans a vest and scarf. I'm dressed for the week-end. I highly recommend them.

Love these boots! Great, fun, fashionable boot for the rain/snow. Also, kudos to Zappos. The clear coating of the boot started to peel at the heel. I called Zappos and they had another pair at my doorstep the next day. No problems with the new boots. Awesome boot and awesome customer service!

Exactly what I expected...perfect Hunter boot. This is my first pair and I was concerned the shaft would be too high, but it hit me perfectly below the knee (I'm 5'5"). I was also hoping for a nice slim fit, and they're perfect! I have average size calves. I got the damsen gloss and the color is gorgeous...not too shiny, but a nice pop of color and sheen.

I wanted high rain boots and really liked the way that these look. I was a little concerned about the size of the calf as mine is about a 12½ and these boots are a 15 but since I usually wear them with jeans they look fine. I wear a 7 and bought a 7 and they are perfect. I could easily wear thicker socks if I needed to but they are not too big without. I love the fun blue color as well!
