No way are these true to size. I can't believe 84% said that they are. I ordered a full size down. I have never worn an 8.5 in my life and that's what I ended up in. I love the shoe! However, make sure to size down at least 1/2 size!

Great shoe! People love this shoe since it brings them back to the 1950\'s. I would buy from Zappos again. They give great customer support and returns are super easy!

I bought this shoe for a slew of weddings I have to attend this summer. I love the saddle shoe styling that's all grown up. The shoes are lightweight, good for dancing, and are fairly comfortable. I don't know that my fairly comfortable is even a fair judgment since every time I've worn these shoes, I've been standing or dancing for hours at a time. But for those purposes, they're pretty comfy. The only downside to these shoes is that the leather on the front half is very pliable and becomes easily misshapen. Not drastically, but you can see the outlines of your toes a bit and my pair is by no means too small. I've gotten a pair of shoe forms to put in them between wearings to help alleviate the bumpiness and I would recommend the same to anyone else (who cares). Overall, a great shoe! I'll probably buy them in other colors!

I love, love, love these shoes. I bought them in an 8W and they feel great. I rode my bike and wore them all day at work. They're super comfortable & I got many compliments.

Have always loved this style. And decided I needed a pair for our school\'s sock hop. True to size. I did wear crew socks with them also. Cute and very comfortable, too.

Great looking shoes, they look fantastic with pants or jeans. Very comfortable. I wear them to work where I need to have closed toe shoes and may be on my feet most of the day.

These shoes are absolutely gorgeous in person, but I had to return them because the sizing was so off. I typically wear an 9, but ordered an 8.5 after reading other reviews. When I received them, they were too long and too narrow. These shoes are definitely designed for narrow feet.

The length is correct but my heel slipped while walking. I will try another brand for fit. The quality is great though and Bass is an established brand.

I didn't realize that the cream-colored part of the shoes is suede - it wasn't really evident from the photo and definitely isn't mentioned in the description. I'm returning them for a different (similar) color that is non-suede leather. Nice quality shoe, regardless! Also, I'll re-order in a 1/2 size larger than what I normally wear.

These go great with dress slacks or jeans. They are not the most comfortable oxford style shoes that I own, but I get tons of compliments on them. I would not try to walk all over town in them, but for an average workday they are just fine. Until I got them broken in they rubbed a little on the inside of my ankle, but that stopped after a day or two. The suede looks great.

I purchase this shoe every year for my daughter. It is her required school uniform shoe. Over the last 3 years, the sole of the shoe has been improved and no longer is there a problem of the cracking. Thank you GH Bass for fixing this issue! Great shoe and great service from Zappos!

I love these shoes! They are comfortable and good-looking.The sizing was just right for me. The soles on 2 previous pair have split but I still came back for more! Crazy!

A good shoe overall. Stiff material, and the quality is above average. The right shoe felt a little uneven, and different on the arch compared to the left shoe.

These are really cute. Even my husband liked them. The fit is good for my size 11 but it does feel a bit tight across the top unless I leave the laces really loose and that doesn't look good. I was disappointed also that the crepe sole started peeling/tearing with the very first wearing on concrete. Overall, I still love them and got compliments on the street.

I love how these shoes look, and I get lots of compliments on them. They're not the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned, however, pretty stiff. But I'm hoping they'll loosen up.

I love the look of these shoes, great on Casual Friday with jeans. They are not as comfortable as past Bass shoes I have purchased though. I bit tight in the front of the foot, don't bend at the right spot when I wear them and they slip in the heel. I can't make the laces stay tied unless I double knot them. Unfortunately, at the end of a work day, my feet were sore. I will give them one more try, but am not hopeful they will work for a 10 hour day.

I sell these shoes in a Bass company store, and here are a few "facts." These shoes are designed for small boned women with fairly narrow feet. I've noticed a number of happy reviews here are from much older women. So, if you have wide feet, and you want shoes for lots of walking, not just at the mall, these aren't a great choice. They are fashion shoes, they don't have a lot of support. GH Bass was recently sold by Phillips Van Heusen to another conglomerate, AM Retail. Hoping for better quality and fit, by next Sept, a whole new company. And no, the base of operations is not PR, it's NJ. AM Retail is based in Minnesota. Once again, if you like to walk--this is not your shoe. If you like to look cute getting in and out of the car, or sitting at a desk, and you have small feet, this will work for you.

The style is great but unfortunately, they are too narrow. I ordered the wide too. The leather is thin so you can see my foot hang over. I will try another Oxford.

I was excited that Bass offers narrow shoes for some of their styles, but they feel like regular shoes on my feet -- big toe box and slippage in the heel.

I loved them when they came out of the box, however wearing them a few times already shows wear in the toe crease and will be sending back...so sad.

I ordered these in two different colors, excited for the classic/quirky oxfords. I was really surprised/underwhelmed by the quality when they arrived. For both pairs, the right and the left shoe looked different from each other. I think part of it is the way they are situated in the box and that will probably go away with wearing (the left seemed squished) - but the stitching was different from one to the other. When wearing them, I could look down and see the stitching around the toe on the right shoe - but not on the left. It made them look like they were different sizes and just seemed sloppy. The fit was true to size and I'd give them a 'fine' on comfort. Both pairs are heading back to Zappos.

I loved these shoes when I bought them. After wearing them for a short amount of time, the soles cracked and split. I see many reviews along the interwebs that tell of similar experiences. I'm so tempted to buy another pair because they are a great style option, but the quality isn't worth the money.
