I got these in black. If you have small ankles, you might have trouble with them rubbing the back of your ankle. I’m going to return them... they were really comfortable other than being a bit wide, but they are not as cute as I had hoped they would be.

This is an extraordinarily comfortable boot! I am a 10 1/2 with a narrow to medium foot. Depending on the brand and model of a shoe/boot, I sometimes need to go up or down 1/2 a size. Originally, I purchased an 11. The boot was too long, wide, and baggy in the ankle and calf. I exchanged them for a 10. The length is good with some room at the toe. The width and the calf are okay. My preference would be to have them a bit tighter. However, for casual everyday use, the comfort makes the purchase worth it. Heaven!!! I wear them with jeans and a white leather jacket. Mucho compliments.

These boots are comfortable and flat, which is exactly what I was looking for. I had to put an arch insert in them to make them less sloppy around the ankle. I might have been able to order a 1/2 smaller, but I didn\'t want to return them. \r\nI love wearing them.

I looked for the perfect pair of boots for years. I had been spending hours searching for some for this holiday/winter. I wanted a simple boot that could be worn dressed up or casual. I also have very small calves. I finally decided on these boots. First thing, they are the only boots I've tried on that aren't too big on my calves. They are extremely comfortable, more so than most of my tennis shoes. However, I couldn't decide if they looked like galoshes or not. I decided to keep them and wore them with a sweater dress to a friend's wedding. I got so many compliments on them! I am very glad I kept them. However, I am 5'3" and I don't think they look too good over jeans, maybe a little too tall and too tight and I have chicken legs. I can wear a 7 1/2 or 8 and the 7 1/2 is perfect. Overall, great boot and definitely good for small calves!

These are super comfortable boots. The pictures make them look sassier than in person. I kept them for the comfort.

After looking long for the "perfect" boot (high, flat wrap around sole, thin lining, small circumference, nice feel to leather), this was looking good. And it is what I was looking for, plus it's pretty decent quality. Pricey for sure, maybe overpriced, but worth it to me. Several folks commented on having thin calves (and feeling this boot didn't work for that reason): I have small calves and I'd love to hear where they find one with a narrower circumference than this one even paying the really big bucks; it more or less doesn't flop. I like this boot, pretty much true to size, maybe a tad narrow, especially at the ankle, get a shoehorn, no disappointment seeing it really. Oh well, Zappos had no size 9, size 8.5 which often works for me in Born, Dansko and others, but no way would my sock get into this 8.5. Found a nine on an unknown etc., hope that works out.
