This boot is fabulous! I never dreamed I would spend this much money on a pair of boots but I think they will last me forever. I didn't want to like them! But I love them! I am petite, thin legs and calves and they fit like they were made for me. My leggings and jeans fit just fine inside, zipped up. The leather is buttery soft and so is the lining. I agree with other reviewers that the sole could have been softer inside but my socks will do the trick. I believe that having waterproof, awesome looking boots that are this well made, justifies the price. The other set of boots I was considering were the Franco Sarto Riding Boots. They too fit okay but were not waterproof and were much roomier in the ankle. I appreciated and read every review on these boots and that helped me with my decision to keep them. I like that they are lightweight too. Zappos has been great sending me so many boots to try on and then return. I was feeling somewhat guilty about it but customer service told me it was no problem. Love these! SUPER comfortable and stylish too. I will be wearing with skinny jeans tucked in all winter.

These boots are beautiful, comfortable, and they fit. I am a little over 5'4", 140 pounds. One calf is 14" the other is 14¼". The boots fit and are very comfortable for me! My feet are medium width, but on the wider side. I take a 8½ in shoes and always get a 9 in boots! They are good quality, and can be worn casual or with a dress.

Nice and cozy but not so stylish. I think the rounded toe undercuts the overall look. The shaft is slimmer than many but the pull tag and gap at the top still gave more of a swashbuckler look than I wanted.

I specifically like La Canadienne boots because they have a slim calf, so they fit me well. However, this pair was weird and the left boot was far tighter than the right. Not sure if it's me or the boots, but either way they didn't work. :(

Love La Canadienne and already own 2 pair of their boots (essential for New England weather!) The leather felt nice and seemed like a comfortable boot. Sadly, I have wide-ish feet and skinny calves (yeah, trying locating boots with those parameters!) The calf circumference was too wide for my 13" calves even over jeans - looked like an upside-down bell.

Perfect fit for my slender calf and 7 1/2 size. This is my 3rd pair in this brand, and I love the fit on them all. My main complaint is the heels wear down really easily. Probably won't have the issue on this style, though. Of course, I'm in NYC and do a lot of walking, but for the price you would think they would be a little more durable.

These boots are comfortable, able to withstand water as promised, and you can walk miles in them. I bought these for a trip to Europe and after walking from 10am to 10pm, my feet were fine. No signs of blister anywhere. Amazing! The only complaint I have is that the heel was very slippery and on waxed floors, you really have to be very careful and walk with the balls of your feet instead or else you might trip. Other than that, the shoes are worth the money.

I'm normally 5.5 to 6.0 and I went with a 5.5. The 5.5 felt a bit tight, but not so bad that I'm returning them. Go with your true size. The calves were definitely a bit tight. I'm petite with athletic legs, and it barely zips up all the way (I have to be careful not to zip up my flesh), though there is some fabric between my skin and the zipper to prevent that from happening. I liked the boot enough, so I kept it.

First, Zappos thank you so much for the quick shipping and amazing customer policy. Two, these boots are beautiful and well made. I was concerned about the price, but these are well worth it. I have small calves, 13 1/2 circumference, the boot height is normal without being too high, and they are perfect with leggings, skinny jeans, skirts and under regular jeans. I am looking for these in other colors. I tried them on at work right out of the box and never put my other boots back on. All my other winter boots are going to the shoe maker for a face lift, so these are my go to boots right now. Love them.

They are nice, but I just didn't fall in love when I put them on. Very comfortable but had a more casual feel than I wanted. I sent for the comparable Aquatalia and I'm keeping those.

They are very nice boots but I have to return them. I have very high arches and these are very painful across the instep just standing still, even worse when walking. It was a struggle to get them on with just a regular pair of socks because of my high instep. The length was a actually a little long. Length-wise I could comfortably wear a thicker sock and be fine. I am tall and wear a size 9 shoe but I'm very thin so most boot shafts are too large in my size, which is why the description of these convinced me to buy them. This one fit my calves just perfect with a pair of straight leg pants tucked in. Would be great with a dress and tights or leggings also. Some reviews mention putting arch supports in them - I need them sometimes but there wasn't an ounce of space for them in these boots on my feet. Bottom line and these might be great for a person with low or no arches but I advise against them if you have high arches.

These are really nice, comfortable boots. I have 13.5 inch calves and it is virtually impossible to find a boot with a snug enough shaft, and these work pretty well. I also like how they come up high, just under the knee. I do think they are too expensive for what they are, but given my difficult time finding calf widths that are narrow enough for me, I am keeping these.

All the previous reviews pretty much sum it up as to the quality, sizing, and look of these boots. I have regular sized calves and the boots are snug over skinny jeans but fit fine and will probably give a bit. If your calves are slightly larger than average, these probably won't work. I actually bought three different boots - these, a pair of Sesto Meucci, and Ferragamo. These are the cushiest - lined and soft. The zipper up the side makes them easy to get on. The Ferragamos have no zipper so that's a pain. And the Meuccis are thin, not lined at all. The Canadienne has the roundest toe of the three, which I don't like as much. I wish it was a bit narrower. And the buckle makes them less sleek than the others. I'm having a hard time choosing but am leaning towards these because they have the best combination of features. If only the toe wasn't so round, I would be sold. Overall, these are very nice and if you like a round toe and have average/slim calves, you'll love these.

The calf was too tight. I have never had this issue before. I have pretty skender calves. I could close the boot but it was too tight to get skinny jeans in it. Otherwise a great shoe. Hate to have to return these but for this price, it has to be perfect.

I am 5'4" and petite, I've never had a problem with boots fitting my calves but I'm sorry to say these are very slim. They fit my calves but are so snug they wouldn't allow room for skinny jeans. They look very nice but are only for very thin calves! They also feel small for a 7.5, all my other boots are 7.5 but in this style I'd need an 8.

I wanted to love this boot -- like many other reviewers, my calves are apparently narrower than average, so I hoped this would be the magic boot. Pros: Well made, excellent arch support. Cons: Even though the calves fit snugly, the way they were cut made them look not fitted at the top. They have sort of a blunt line at the top that gave the appearance of a gap. Other notes: I usually wear a 6, but the 6 was snug...not enough space for skinny jeans in the calves, and no extra room in the foot wearing thin socks. I will size up to 6.5 if I try any other boots in this brand.

I really like the style of these boots and how small the calf area is. It's difficult to find dress boots (except for Jimmy Choos) that are narrow in the calf.These were big enough I could tuck in pants/leggings but not so big they looked bad with dresses. The reason for the low rating is that even though I have enough room I can fit my hand in the calf, the zipper keeps breaking. I am disappointed the company doesn't warranty this. Even my cobbler was surprised. I am on the 3 zipper now with these in a year (at a cost/per fix). I like the boots but I'm not sure they are worth the money.

This boot was disappointing. I have had La Canadienne boots and was always pleased with them. These felt narrow and uncomfortable. The leather was not as supple as I expected. I have an average calf and they are fine with tights but too snug with leggings -- this is not true with my older boots. The riding boot style would work better with a higher shaft.

Beautiful boots but did not fit my 14 inch calves - just not enough give. I'm sorry that I had to return them.

Not good. This boot looks cheap, like a rainboot, and it would not zip up over my average- to-muscular calves. Keeping my Frye Melissa Harness extended calf and sending this one back. The suppleness and quality of the Frye just blows this one out of the water.
