I love these boots. I must have ordered eight pairs before I found these. They are worth every penny. I am 4'11" and wear a size 6. These come right up to bottom of my knee cap. I wish they were a little shorter but they are slowly breaking in and as a result not as high. They are super comfortable right out of the box, and beautiful too. I own two other styles of La Canadien and they are wonderful, too. These are definitely waterproof. I have worn them on a wet soccer field and they kept me looking good and dry! You will not be disappointed with these boots or this brand. Zappos' service is awesome, too. I buy tons of stuff from them. Thank you, Zappos.

This is my second pair of wear everywhere boots from this brand. They seemed to have raised their prices, but they're everything you want in a fall/winter boot. (Including, slush proof.)

I love these boots! I have very long, lean legs, and these fit perfectly with skinny jeans with no gap in the boot leg. The shaft height is high enough for me as well. They're so comfortable (though from other reviews I thought they'd have a bit more arch support), are very stylish, warm without making you sweaty and waterproof. Perfect for the rain and cool weather. I'm looking forward to wearing them with dresses and skirts now that it's fall. I'm only afraid I'll wear them out too quickly since I want to wear them all the time!

Last year I bought a pair of La Canadienne boots and loved them. This year, when searching for a pair of brown riding boots, I tried to avoid La Canadienne because of the price. However, after trying on at least a dozen pairs of boots, I thought I'd go be to La Canadienne, and sure enough, these are the best so far. They fit my 13.5 inch calves perfectly. They're trim in the ankles, whereas most pairs I've tried on have been baggy. They're also the most comfortable boots I've tried on. I have short legs and think these may be a little high for me, but other than that, they're perfect. I got the brown suede, which is super soft, and the color is a very rich, dark brown. Another great boot!

I was looking for a low heeled boot that would be comfortable and stylish for every day. I also needed a boot that would fit my slim calf. This is a wonderful boot! I have another pair of La Canadienne boots and knew that this was the brand I again wanted. I wish they were not so expensive, but I am hoping that they will give me many years of wear. I love being able to try on a variety of boots from Zappos and returning those that did not work out for me. I love shopping at Zappos!

I got these for my girlfriend as she needed a good looking flat heeled boot. She has skinny calves and these look great worn over her tight jeans. She loves them and I love how she looks in them.

I absolutely love these boots! Very comfortable. I have thin legs, so boots sometimes look like buckets on my legs. These are perfect! Great with casual dresses, or with skinny jeans. A bit expensive, but worth every penny.

The boots fit beautifully. I have a narrow foot, thin legs, and was pleased that my legs do not "swim" around inside the boot. Great feel to the leather, and always the Zappos delivery service was superb. I like the casual/dressy styling.

These boots are really fantastic. They required no break in period and have held up nicely after several wears. I have a medium width foot and these were just right. I would purchase these again without hesitation.

I have been looking for these boots forever, and was so happy to finally have found them. But to my disappointment, they do not fit my feet properly. They are too narrow on my foot, and the shaft gaps a little. They are extremely well made with the softest leather. The style is just what I have been looking for, and I'm so unhappy that they do not fit. Thank you Zappos!

These boots are absolutely the best boots I have ever had. I have been looking for a pair of black boots that are comfortable, not too hot and look good for work or casual. These are it! I love them and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for the classic black boot. They look terrific too. And feel great! And I have never been able to find all that in one boot, particularly the comfort.

Got it half a size larger and glad I did. Super comfortable, even walking long distances, and I have horribly sensitive feet. So glad I decided to keep these boots! I love this brand!

I am tall and love the height of these boots. I take a 10 1/2 (which is normally unavailable) and the 11 was fine (10 too small). Lightweight, stylish, flattering look (my feet do not look large, and the calves are trim). Expensive, but worth it. I have been searching for new tall boots for 3 seasons! (Many orders from Zappos!) Finally found them!

Very good, worked well through a Chicago snowstorm where I used them to walk to work. Were professional enough to work in an office. Good fit for a size 9.

Beautiful. My long search is over. Understated and elegant, very high-quality (as one would expect at this price). They fit my 8.5 feet perfectly and are very comfortable. I have high arches and relatively thin legs, so I've had a hard time finding boots that fit; even if the arches fit, they are way too big around the ankle and calf and look bulky. Not so with these; they fit me perfectly. Very happy with them. Highly recommended.

Looks great, but it was way too tight for my calves (I'm a runner -- maybe this has something to do with it). It felt fairly comfortable when I finally got them zipped up (on bare skin -- the only way I could do it). Unfortunately, I have to return them.

Great boot! Size feels good, I can tell how warm it is right away and how snug it fits. I was looking for a boot to wear with tights and skirt. My only complaint is that the buckle on the top side makes that part of the boot not lay flat so not a perfect snug fit. The search continues for me unfortunately.

I bought the black leather La Canadienne Stefanie (11/M) high boots. They came with a faulty zip fastener. That's not what you expect of such expensive boots. I filed a complaint, but no one replied. I'm very upset with the purchase.

After reading the other reviews I was excited to find a boot that would fit narrow calves (I'm 6' tall, size 11 with long, skinny legs). But alas, they are still way too baggy. I'll be returning them (4 stars on comfort since they felt like they would be comfortable, didn't actually wear them around).

These are very nice boots, but are slightly less graceful looking than the photos would indicate - the toe is rounder, so they look a little more casual. They are also quite slim in the calf. I have slim calves, and thought that would be great when I read other reviewers' comments, but they are so tight that I can only just barely get them zipped over leggings, and not over tight jeans. Quality seems good - nice leather but not too thick and clunky. They are slightly wider than normal, which was great for my wide foot, but the heel still fits well.

The La Canadienne Stefanie boot fit me well through the instep, had enough cushioning (so many boots do not) and for a riding boot looked reasonably dressy -- which is what I was shooting for. However, I found it slightly too tight in the calves and I have had that problem with only one other pair of boots (made by Naturalizer). So I do not think of myself as a wide calf customer. I think it's this boot, not me, that's the problem. And for this price, the boot needs to be excellent, not problematic in any way. Zappos is wonderful, though, and they are processing my return request as I write.

These boots are indeed beautiful and they fit like a charm. I bought a 9 and normally wear an 8.5 but wanted room for thick wool socks. The only issue is that they are absolutely not waterproof. On the first day I tested them in one of the Manhattan blizzards they started to slowly leak. I still love the style but wish that the boots had kept my feet dry (thus, the 3 for "Comfort").
