The Fifth Avenue is the epitome of quality, craftsmanship and style. It is also the best value for your investment in a shoe. Not only are they extremely comfortable, but durable. I love the look they present when properly shined, especially against a navy or grey suit with a matching walnut belt.

I've only worn the shoes once (for a long wedding), and so far it feels like a great dress shoe that will last a long time. I normally wear an 11.5 and had to purchase an 11. It also feels like a slight break-in period is required. Great overall purchase!

Love the shoe however I feel the retail price is too. High . I wait for the email notification of a sale to purchase.

I've been wearing Allen-Edmonds for years, and view them as an investment well worth the price. While I usually wear black, a colleague aggressively recommended the dark chili. I have to say this shoe in dark chili is the best shoe I've owned in terms of classic style, comfort and appeal. As a sales exec, I'd say these shoes make "pounding the pavement" sheer joy!

I have several pair of AE shoes. So far they have all been seconds or second hand. I just received my first pair of top quality AE shoes. The Fifth Avenue in dark chili with the Dainite sole. They are perfect! They look great, the dark chili is a fantastic color and the smell of the leather is the icing on the cake. I almost ordered these in ox blood. I decided on the dark chili because I liked the more 'classic' color on a classic shoe style. My next pair of AE's will be in ox blood. Until then, I'm going to enjoy wearing these shoes. Very comfortable and they look smashing!

I don't ever think I'll need to venture into the world of bespoke shoe making. The AE 65 last is truly a comfortable fit for me right out of the box. From the first wear, for me, they already feel broken in. I love the simple styling and variety of colors for the 5th Ave. For me, my 9.5 E is a true to fit size, but my right foot is slightly wider than my left, but the fit is so comfortable. I bought three in different colors.

This is a wonderful dress shoe that is not only stylish, but comfortable. I'm only on day 1 of wearing them and they are so comfortable I felt compelled to let others know.

The Fifth Avenue is my second pair of AEs. I got them in black to wear with my dark charcoal and medium grey suits. They're built on the same last as my Park Avenues, so the fit is exactly the same. In black, the touch of broguing is very subtle, so I feel these will work great for even the most formal settings, yet they can easily be dressed down for casual Friday's at the office. Love 'em!

The Fifth Avenue Cap-Toe Oxford in Walnut is my first AE purchase. Beautiful - extremely well crafted shoe! My size is 11B - and narrow men's shoes aren't that easy to find. I had always worn Johnston & Murphy prior to discovering AE. J&M's offerings in narrow widths seems to have dwindled and the quality has gone south. But trying to compare J&M to AE is apples to oranges - AE is in a different class. Unfortunately, I found the shoes to run narrower than expected. I went to a local AE store. They measured my feet (11B as expected), but recommended I try an 11C as an alternate. They returned/refunded the original pair on the spot and even gave me a little better discount in the store than I had gotten online. The replacement pair was shipped directly to me and they fit great. Only two regrets: 1) a few weeks after I bought them, AE started their anniversary sale - and I could have saved quite a bit more; 2) I wish I had found AE years ago - I'd have a closet full of better shoes! That said, I just placed another order to take advantage of the sale. Love that they're made in the USA.

I purchased a brown pair & a black pair of the 5th Avenue shoes at the same time. As a result, I now own 10 pairs of A/E shoes plus a pair of A/E boots. I wear both pairs of the 5th Avenue shoes a lot. And, both pairs of shoes look great with my suits/dress slacks or with a pair of nice blue jeans & a sports coat. I went to A/E intending to purchase a different pair of shoes. But, after seeing the 5th Avenue shoes, I opted to purchase both the brown & black pairs. Except for color, the shoes are identical. However, for what ever reason, the brown shoes are more comfortable than the black shoes. Nevertheless, overall, I am extremely satisfied with both pairs of she's.

What a fantastic shoe this is! The quality of the leather, the workmanship and the finish patina are really top notch. These are only my second pair of AE shoes, but they won't be my last. I'm convinced that AE is dedicated to staying true to their customer's expectations of quality. Hightly recommend AE!

I have been wearing Allen Edmonds for 30 years. First pair of dress shoes I bought after College and still own them today. That pair has been re-crafted twice and I still wear them regularly and every time I get them polished at the airport the shoe shiners are always speaking highly of them. The Fifth Avenue Cap-Toe Oxford is simple but elegant. I have worn them with jeans, casual dress, and suits. Very versatile. I expect them to last till, well, you know...a lifetime.

A friend recommended these shoes to me and I'm glad I trusted him. These are one of my favorite pairs of shoes - they are my go to dress shoes for work and fo formal events. Hit them some polish and Mirror wax - you'll get nothing but compliments.

They last a life time and they are a wonderful product. The building Recrafting to keep your shoes up to par and looking there best is an amazing feature. You will never find a better looking and feeling shoe around.

Great style, fit, and color, my second pair of AE's, very satisfied!

This is my third Allen Edmonds pair of shoes and they've all been great. (Two are in use; one was stolen by someone with really great taste in shoes). There is no real break in period and they are the most comfortable shoe I've ever had. I used to buy less expensive shoes, but the $80-$100 you save on a lesser brand just isn't worth it. I have a 12 wide foot and have trouble with other brands, but this is the one shoe I can always count on to be comfortable. They hold up to regular wear really well and look great. Nice to see that the best value out there is made in America.

Allen Edmonds shoes embody craftsmanship and timeless style. The Fifth Avenues in burnished brown are dressy enough for any brown or medium gray dress pants, but the slight broguing allows them to be paired, too, with dark wash jeans & a sport coat. Because AE remains committed to providing their shoes in nearly every conceivable width and length, it's possible to get a perfect fit every time. After wearing these shoes twice, they fit so well I began thinking of them as slippers. Satisfied? You bet. It scarcely makes sense to consider anything but Allen Edmonds, and the Fifth Avenues are currently my favorite pair.
