These shoes are gorgeous. I have a pair of these in Dark Chili and they are just gorgeous. The quality of the built and the quality of the full grain leather is just second to none. I highly recommend these Allen Edmonds shoes!

I wanted to update my standard black dress shoe that covers formal situations, but also a shoe that I'd enjoy wearing day to day. I think the broguing of the Fifth Ave gives this shoe a little style and separates it from the endless cheap plain black dress shoes around the office. It's still formal enough for me on those special occasions, but something I still enjoy regularly wearing rather than just keeping in its bags for special occasions. If you've got stricter formality requirements, the Park Ave is a better, although I think more boring, option. Quality on these shoes is good. If you're new to Allen Edmonds shoes or the 65 Last, I highly recommend visiting a Allen Edmonds store to get sized. The sales associate put me into a shoe a full size smaller than i typically wear and it fits perfectly. I also purchased a shine brush, black premium polish, black heel dressing, and shoe trees.

I have owned a black pair of the Fifth Avenue Cap-toe Oxfords for over two years and loved them so much, that a few months ago I bought a brown pair. The black 5th Ave Oxfords were my first AEs, but since I have bought several pairs. These shoes are great with the best suit or a pair of jeans. This was the first time I owned leather sole shoes, so I learned rather quickly that you have to be careful wearing them in icy conditions. If you need to wear them in such conditions, then be sure to get the "v tread tap sole" when ordering.

Excellent American craftsmanship and beautiful and sensible design will allow you to enjoy a pair of Fifth Avenue with any kind of attire. You can dress up or down, depending on the business of the day. If you need to dress to impress, a pair of Fifth Avenue would be your ideal companion. I own a pair in black and walnut, and both of them look more sophisticated the longer I wear them. These are kind of shoes that take care of you if you take care of them.

I purchased these in dark chili and I couldn't be happier. After two months they have quickly become my go to shoes. As a balmoral these are rather formal, however the brogueing on toe helps to slightly dress down the shoe and add some visual interest. The 65 last by its nature has a round, almost stubby toe, if you are interested in a more elongated and chiseled profile I would try the Yorktowns on the 1943 last. I mention this because I find the brogueing along the toe highlights the shoe's stubby shape more than the simple stitching on the park ave. The dark chili color is the perfect shade of brown. It is a very rich color, not too dark but not really red or orangey like some other shades of chili. I find it pairs well with almost any color.

I am a professional who needs to dress up for work every day. The primary concern I always had has been finding the perfect shoe that goes with my age and style. Since I am always on my feet I am very sensitive to comfort and durability. Every shoe purchase, including this very Fifth Avenue Oxfords have been nothing but exceptional. They are extremely comfortable, stylish and require minimal maintenance. I only wish I had learned about this company's products earlier in my life. I could have saved thousands of dollars and many painful hours on my feet. I have been personally recommending this brand to my colleagues and I must say I am getting nothing but "thank you"s from every one of them. My recommendations are far and few in between when it comes to clothing items but one thing I am sure of and would always recommend is Allen Edmonds shoes.

Terrific shoes- definitely make the outfit. As with all good pairs, they take some time to break in. Get them fitted in store and trust the process.

This is a great looking pair of shoes. They fit very well also. Minor issues with the craftsmanship of the pair I received, but this was quickly fixed by customer-service. Great pair of shoes for the price.

After looking for a long time for a quality, good looking, and long lasting shoe, I finally decided on on these. This is my first pair of AE shoes and I'm so pleased with them. I love the classic look of the Fifth Avenues. Like any shoe like this, they are a little stiff at first, but I was very surprised by how comfortable they were right out of the box and how quickly the broke in. I usually go through shoes quickly, so I'm looking forward to wearing this pair for a long time. You cannot go wrong with these shoes.

I have a pair of Fifth Avenues in Walnut Calf that I've been wearing for over a year. These are my favorite dress shoes. They're holding up well after being worn around two times per week. The Walnut Calf color is great for casual business settings. Compared to flashier wingtips, the brogueing on the Fifth Avenues are certainly more subtle but the Walnut Calf color really makes these pop. Probably because I wear these more often than my other Allen Edmonds Park Avenues and Dalton boots, they've broken in more and feel almost like slippers. No problem wearing them all day and then after hours.

The Fifth Ave is my go-to shoe for the office and other formal settings where I'd like something conservative, but with a little more detail than the Park Ave. For those used to shopping in major retail chains buying "fashion" shoes, you'll be amazed at the look, feel, and overall quality of the leather. Hold these up next to a new pair and you'll never be able to wear the others again. Unlike mass produced shoes, these conform to your feet and flex where you need them too, not where a shoe designer thought they needed to. After a couple of wearings these really feel like a pair of slippers. I work full time and take MBA classes at night, so I wear these for 16+ hours some days. My feet are NEVER sore after. I cant say the same about my cheaper shoes. If you want to make a quality pair of leather shoes last through many pairs of soles, make sure you store them with shoe trees and avoid wearing them 2 days in a row if possible so the leather can breathe. Make sure to keep them polished! Besides, how can you own just one pair of AE shoes!? P:S.: If this is your first pair of Allen Edmond shoes, get a professional fitting!

These shoes fit well and have started to break in quite nicely. Allen Edmonds always seem to have a dull sheen when they arrive so I add a coat of polish on them to give them that glossy sheen that looks so much better. Wish the prices wouldn't keep going up. Other than that no complaints.

Those who are conscious about the shoes they wear make an important statement when wearing a pair of Allen Edmonds. These Fifth Avenues will make that statement for you. Definitely the most handsome and my "go to" shoe for those important appointments. If you don't yet have a pair, you are missing out on that experience.

I walk several miles in these shoes (or other similar Allen Edmonds shoes) every day, and they are the most comfortable dress shoes I've ever owned. They come back looking new from the recrafting service, and they last years.

The Dainite Soles are a wonderful feature on these already beautiful, high quality, comfortable shoes.

The dark chili Fifth Avenue cap toe oxfords are very classy and timeless look. I cannot tell you how many times I have gotten compliments on them. They work with just about every color pants: dark grey, navy, brown, and even dark denim. Good thing too because these things are built to last forever.

These shoes are extremely comfortable. The service I received at the store was top notch and found me the perfect fit. My job requires me to be on my feet all day and the fifth avanues gave me the proper support and professional look I need.

I've owned my fifth avenue dress shoe's (burnished chili) for about one year - they've broken-in and are comfortable to wear. The 65 last seems to fit my foot perfectly. However, for the first two months I had a little rubbing on my right, above the ball of my foot, on top of my foot. It was minor and is no longer an issue. Additionally, I'm pleased with the leather sole, which has some wear, but seems durable (I wear them about 1-2 times a week). Overall, this is a excellent shoe and I'm a fan of the burnished chili polish.

The Fifth Avenue is a timeless classic look. I recently purchased three pairs of Allen Edmonds dress shoes and I have never been more impressed with the look and feel of a dress shoe.

I bought two pairs of these. One had a slight lump in the sole after several months of wear. They replaced it with no questions asked. There are few companies that stand behind their products so solidly in my opinion. Theirs shoes are comfortable, look great, feel great, and are all-around just better than any shoe I've worn before. The craftsman is excellent, and this will be all I buy for a long time when I'm looking for a new style.

Admittedly, I had been put off by the price tag of Allen Edmonds, so this was actually my first pair of shoes. Unable to justify the price, I continued to purchase shoes from the competition. These were actually a gift from my wife. Needless to say, I'm done with the competition. Within a month of wearing these, I bought a pair of City's to wear with black. ...and I'm always proud to buy American when a get a chance!

I've been wearing the Fifth Avenue Cap-Toe Oxfords every other day to work for a few weeks now. They took a couple of days to break in and to get truly comfortable. A classic and clean looking dress shoe with great craftsmanship.

I ordered this shoe online and the fit was better than most shoes I have had but I wanted to make sure it was perfect. I took the shoes to the store and the sales staff had me try on a lot of shoes to get a perfect fit. I ended up exchanging them and I have never been more comfortable in dress shoes than I am now.
