beautiful shoe i ordered a triple e and it was still tight across the widest part of my foot i had to return it

Great style as always. Which is the only reason I return....absolutely horrendous quality control. Variance with hand made items is fine. But large color variance, crooked parts of shoe are all very noticeable. I have to order 2-3 at once to pick the "least problematic" of them. Please listen to your customers, i'm not the only one calling this out.

Will not shine. Stays dull, even after high gloss polish.

I have bought the McAlister Wingtip Oxford three times. The first two pairs were perfect. Their durability and fit were excellent. This last pair has a strange crease in the top of the right shoe that has caused me to stop wearing them. It is extremely painful, and a bruise on the metatarsal muscle has made it difficult to wear any other dress shoes.

I've wanted a pair for some time. I broke down and purchased a black pair of the McAlistier wingtips about 4 months ago. I wear them to the office a couple times a week and I'm hoping they're still not broken in. They're notably uncomfortable at this point.

There is no question this is a beautiful shoe. I just wish the same amount of attention to detail was put into the making of the shoe as their was the design. The stitching on mine is very uneven particularly evident when you compare the left and right shoe. Whoever worked on the shoe also had an issue with needle entry and it took off a chunk of the welt. They tried to cover their tracks by filling it in with wax, but that also covered part of the stitching.

McAllister in dark chili is such a sharp shoe fits great and looks great. Unfortunately I ordered shoe online and comes in and there is a dent/crease in the Vamp near the laces. It was too obvious to ignor, so back they go. I also had to send back a pair of brand new Lidens I bought online... actually had to reorder twice before getting a good pair. Seems like quality is going down hill. Feels like new ownership might be cutting some corners??? Recent MacNeil's I bought where just awful looking calfskin. Almost looked like a vinyl leather. Love AE!...but might be taking a break for awhile see what happens with this new ownership. Just so disappointing.

I love Allen-Edmonds but these shoes are not quite to par with my other ones. The sole has separated from the shoe in the toe section.

I was buying this to replace my old pair but they changed the design and the leather. I don't like the new look of either one. I think the shoe looks quite cheap now. Unfortunately I may be stuck trying to find a used pair online or trying to get mine repaired.

The quality is not what it used to be. Very dissapointed. The soles were very sloppy. Not evenly cut out, jagged edges. My husband needed these right away to replace a pair, but they really should be sent back. He's been a customer for twenty years and quality has definitely gone down.

I expedited a great deal more. Clearly when I ordered a wide pair of shoes they did not deliver. Not even close to being right. The ship time was poor and was the refund time. Dude t CD even come close to my awesome Johnson Murphy's.

The size isn't close to the correct size. I order width E but they were very narrow.

Bending at toes when I walk so it creased. Low quality product and I'm not happy.

Terrible, Most Uncomfortable Shoe I have Owned. annoying review process

I referred this show because I had an important function and wanted to look right. Unfortunately when the shoes arrived I found the tongue of one sewn to the inner arch of the shoe. Completely defective. Had to return the shoes and buy a different brand in a hurry. Very disappointed.

I am a repeat customer and already own three pairs of Allen Edmonds and was trying to add another one to the collection. My wife ordered this shoe in black for me and it arrived this afternoon. Opened the package with great anticipation and excitement and was thoroughly and rudely disappointed. I had come across reviews lamenting the poor quality that is plaguing the shoes lately but the experience in the past for me was fine. Defective stitching right on the wing tip, and not just one, but both shoes. This defect would be obvious to even most casual inspection. How did this pair pass ? And if there is such apathetic inspection of such blatant defect, who knows what other flaws hide in the multi-step process of creating a nice pair of shoes. I could not even bring myself try the pair on. Sending it back first thing when the UPS store opens.

The leather color is not the same as in the picture. Very dull and not vibrant at all. Stitching was poor and the soul looked like it was rubbed off a little. Would not recommend it.
