Spectacular shoe that wear extremely well if one take good care of the shoes. After the soles wear out, return them for re-crafting and they will wear like a new pair.

I got this one in Merlot + some Saphir polishing and it's a beautiful mix of dress and casual. Looks great with dark jeans, but can wear with a suit as well. It took longer to break in for some reason - maybe it's all the brogue...

I have been buying Allen Edmond's shoes for 30 years. I have them resold many times, before I ever need a new pair. Eventually I replace, but since I started wearing Allen Edmond's shoes they are the only dress shoes that I buy.

I own two pairs of McAllister shoes, in Merlot and in Walnut. The Merlot by color is one I wear with suits and some more formal looking outfits. Then I started to pair the Walnuts in a less formal setting and realized how truly versatile this shoe was. I now switch them out in casual and all the way up to semi-formal looks. They feel a bit narrower than some other AE styles, but not quite as narrow as the Strand. A great look to dress up a bit more than casual, but not full formal. Looks especially well (to me) with darker colors.

Do yourself a favor and buys these in walnut and a pair of Exchange Place in black. And then don't worry about dress shoes ever again.

Very nice dress shoes. Well made, however I was surprised to see some blemishes where the soul stitching ended. Very comfortable. Break in period was about a month.

Previously owned an Allen Edmonds pair of wing tips in D width. They initially were a little tight but eventually worked out OK. I had 30+ years. This time I ordered E width and they are incredibly tight and hurt my feet.

I ordered these expecting them to be a Tan or British Tan with brown burnishing on the toes, but they came as a solid medium brown. When I tried them on and they fit perfectly and were very comfortable. However, the color doesn't match my style so I ended up returning turn.

Absolutely beautiful shoe. That's is very well made with great craftsmanship. I'm so happy I bought these shoes. They truly are great quality shoes and the price is perfect. I would highly recommend these shoes.

I own a pair of Strand cap toe oxfords that I really love. But when the time came for me to buy another pair of dress shoes in a different color, I decided to branch out and try another Allen Edmonds' style (the McAllister wingtip oxford in chili). The McAllister is a nicely made shoe, but I couldn't get over how much longer they looked than my Strands (that are the same size), and I didn't like that the perforations on the wingtip extended over the end of my toe all the way to the welt - it lessened the appeal of the aesthetic from my perspective. Since I ended up exchanging these for another pair of Strands, I'd say it's obvious that I'm still an Allen Edmonds fan. I guess I'm just writing this review with the hope that it might encourage Allen Edmonds to consider a few new additions to their great lineup of dress shoes.

Excellent shoe. I get a lot of compliments especially from women. First thing they notice on a man. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars it's not the shell cordavan leather one. If i was younger thats all I would buy. That having been said still much better than all the other crapola out there.

This shoe is beautiful! Straight out of the box you can smell the leather! The only problems I've encounter with this shoe is it's a little noisy. Every step you could hear the new leather Breaking in. Also if you have Ankle bones like me the side of the shoe rest right underneath so it becomes bothersome after a while.
