This shoe fits true to size and I do like it. I will have to agree with a previous review that stated that it hurts the back of your foot during the break in period. I would recommend wearing a bandage on your Achilles for the first few days that you wear this shoe, as it will give you blisters. Once it is broken in, 3-4 days, they wear great. I spend a lot of time on my feet walking and these shoes are comfortable. I really like the hard rubber heel. Many of the shoes I have purchased at this price level have a heel made of a rubber composite that wears easily and does not look nice after a while. This heel will last and will not show wear as quickly and obviously.

These shoes are awesome!!!! They are extremely attractive as well as very comfortable. I own several pairs of Florsheims and these are my most comfortable pair by far. Thank you Zappos for carrying a size 6. These are very hard to find and I appreciate you having them!

Great shoe. Bought a second pair after wearing the first pair out.

I love the style of these shoes and the leather is top quality. It took about a week for them to be broken in and the process was uncomfortable on my toes. The crease kept mashing them. Also, the seam around the top of the shoe creates a crevice into which crumbs, dirt, lint, etc. falls into. To keep them pristine, one has to clean the crud out every week or so.

Shoes are great shoes now that I have broken them in. The initial break-in was tough. The back of the shoe rises a bit higher than my other shoes so rubbed a bit in the beginning.

The Florsheim Cortland is a sharp looking shoe. To give it that squared off look at the toe, they actually look longer than most other dress shoes. The materials all seem to be very good quality, unlike other manufacturers that I’ve seen that have decreased the quality of the materials. The comfort for these shoes is just middle of the road. The first day I wore them, I had to run out and get mole skin to cover the backs of my heels because they really cut into them. Do yourself a favor and work the leather at the heels before wearing them to make it more pliable. Other manufactures have gone to greater degrees to provide comfort padding inside their shoes. These shoes do not have that, but it is still fine for wearing all day. All in all, a good quality, good looking shoe, with decent, but not great comfort.

The first two weeks that I wore these shoes, the edges of the shoes cut into my ankles to the point that they started bleeding. I slowly broke them in and now they are very comfortable and I love wearing them at work. I have flat feet and these are still comfortable for four hours at a time. Style is attractive, but not attention grabbing. The soles don’t clack and the shoe laces are long enough to tie easily.

Shoe has that narrow long front setup which just felt weird to me, so I returned it. However, if you like that, then you will love this shoe. Also it was a bit large for me anyway, 1/2 size at least, so the shoe was rubbing my back ankle. The ankle part is hard, so it can dig in. Hey, with Zappos free return shipping, it does not hurt to try it out for yourself!

I recently bought a less expensive pair of shoes at a discount store. While wearing the shoes, I noticed a strong smell of petroleum and figured out that it was coming from the shoes. So I figured that's what I get for buying cheap shoes and that I needed a nicer pair. So I order three pair of shoes from Zappos. A pair of Johnston and Murphys, a pair of Bostonians, and this pair of Florsheims. The Florsheims were the best looking and most comfortable, so I returned the other two pair (which Zappos handled perfectly). But now I am noticing the same gasoline smell coming from my new Florsheims. Hopefully it doesn't last long!

These shoes are great! They tend to run about a size larger than indicated (I normally wear a 14), but after finding out the hard way, Zappos was very willing and quick to refund my initial order. I would for sure by this shoe from Zappos again.

Great overall shoe for work. I typically wear a size 12 and the 11.5 in the Cortland fit me perfectly. The shoe is comfortable from the get go and I'd have to say one of the most comfortable dress shoes that I've ever had. I have a hard time finding dress shoes that fit me right and tried Cole Haan Air Coltons and some Kenneth Cole varieties, but fount the Florsheim Cortlands to be the best (and least expensive) of the bunch. My first time buying this brand, but given the comfort, look, price, and initial quality of this shoe, will most likely do again.

I wear a size 15, these shoes were comfortable right out of the box. My only issue is keeping the Wisconsin salt off them. I wear them 10-12 hours a day and spend a lot of time on my feet. I'll be buying more once these wear out.

These shoes are beautiful. They are the first pair ever purchased from Zappos but definitely won't be the last. They look and fit fab for a small, intellectually disabled young man who has never been able to buy men's shoes prior to this! The sole is perfect in that it isn't smooth leather and will help prevent slipping and sliding at the big wedding where our son is his bro's best man. Thank you Zappos for helping a wonderful young man feel great about himself.

I was in the market to replace my old dress. These have a great shine and are very comfortable all day once you break in the otherwise rigid heel area. Good value for the style. Only negative is the shoelaces are tied funny (but that can be fixed, fortunately).

Zappos is great, the service was great and on time. These shoes look and feel great. I didn't have to deal with some of the soreness others have experienced because i put a shoe tree in the shoes for four days to break down some of the stiffness. After that I've been able to wear the shoes without any discomfort. Great shoes, great site!

I just received my shoes and I was excited to feel how comfortable they are right out of the box. I wore them for 5 hrs the first night and then 2 days later. The comfort level was excellent. I have flat feet and wear a size 15 this was a match made in heaven. I recommend these shoes to all.

These shoes smelled like gas had been spilled on them. I wore them for a week and could still smell the gas smell from under the table.
