Love this skirt! Like others said, fit runs on the larger side so I ordered a size down. I wish this skirt was still available in other colors in this poplin fabric - I'd buy them all! Gorgeous drape, very flattering!

I absolutely love this skirt - it got me following XCVI. Why? First, it is cotton, not polyester and not jersey. It looks good no matter what - whether I am fatter or not. Secondly, it is flattering and very stylish. I have yet to see anyone else with one, and I have had mine for years. Third reason is comfort. It is so breathable and just my go-to skirt. And the fourth reason is that I have legs. This skirt is long enough for a person who has legs for days and is short-waisted. It just looks so smart. Did I say I love this skirt? And this is my second one of these I am purchasing this exact version. Why? Somehow, a bleach mark on the lower edge of my skirt that came from only the devil knows where as I do not use chlorine bleach in the wash. For a while, Zappos did not have this style. So I bought a several other similar XCVI long peasant skirts. none of them came close to this one. I am not a denim girl, and the jersey version is not forgiving. Even the XCVI site does not sell this version. So today I will by another one at the size below my previously one as my weight is doing the yo-yo and is closer to the lower yo. Final point, the price on Zappos today is significantly lower than when I first purchased one. So, I am in to Zappos today for a couple pairs of shoes and this skirt. I hope that the shoes fit because I know this skirt will. Now if only I could get Zappos to convince North Face to return to the prior heavy cotton long sleeve t-shirts that I (and many North Face purists) love. Then I would be exceedingly glad. However this purchase is a really good start.

I wear XCVI skirts exclusively. I constantly get stopped and told my skirt is fantastic and where I got it (who makes it, etc.). I wear both the drawstring waisted version of this skirt and this one - the soft cotton/lycra fold-over waist version. I love them both - and I prefer these longer lengths (tea-length or slightly longer). I purchased some soft-as-can-be fine-wale corduroy fabric versions of these styles a couple of years ago but have not seen the corduroy fabric skirts make a comeback yet (and I sure wish they'd surface again - each year come Autumn and Winter). What I'd like to suggest very strongly (!) is that you offer this skirt in a multitude of color options. You used to offer this in a sand color (pale tan) and several other colors as well (sort of a light cocoa color too which was just classically neutral and wonderful as much as the sand/pale tan color was and is), and then a navy and also a medium toned gray/blue, then a charcoal color, etc. I have purchased so many of these skirts from you all over the years but as the years go on I observe you just are not offering the same level of choices (corduroy fabric once Autumn rolls around and many color choices all year 'round) in this and the drawstring version as you used to offer up. Please realize that this long fold-over cotton and lycra skirt and the long drawstring waist version constitute the best of the best in terms of looks and comfort and "longevity factor." They also wash so well (they are pre-washed when you get them and the styling is so great that you never have to worry about "wrinkling" (since they're naturally gathered and "ruched"). Thanks for your inquiry about my opinions whereas this skirt is concerned and for (hopefully) acting on what I have been hoping for (more of these skirts and more color choices all the time!).

I did not like the jersey waist band on this skirt compared to the drawstring midi length version that I have and love. Solid construction and the skirt has a fun, flirty, lived in look. Fit is true to size. I am returning it but do like the brand and look of other skirts in this line.

I bought this skirt a few years ago from another site and wore it out. It is perfect, funky, unique, and I always get compliments on it. So glad I found it again at Zappos!

Comfy and cute! A little more billow-y than expected, but I still like it a lot. I am 5'8, 140 lbs. and the small fits perfect. I'm in my first trimester of pregnancy and the waistband should be forgiving for much of the next several months. Hoping I don't stretch it out too much as I expand, so its still a favorite post-baby.

Having read all the positive reviews I was expecting a great skirt, but to my surprise I received the most awkward and weird piece of clothing I've ever seen. There is no rhyme or reason to this skirt, it is crooked both on front and back, one side is longer than the other and the fabric weirdly sticks out at several places and it looks pooched on the hips and knees.. No smooth connection between the pieces, looks like it all was just randomly sewn together...just awful. It does feel very comfortable on the body and the material is good, but the look of it is just too odd. Or maybe this one was just defective.

I own three of these skirts. Very comfortable and flattering. Also very long. I've had all of mine hemmed by at least 5", but then I'm only 5' tall.

Really cool, hippy chic skirt. It's a little on the long side, so I'm not sure I'll get too much wear out of it this summer, but I'll probably live in it this fall. I am 5'5'', if that helps with visualization of length. I love the waste band; it keeps my belly in check and is super comfortable. I have fallen in love with this brand. I spend way too much money with Zappos, mostly because they carry the brands I love and I get free overnight shipping. Awesome company.

I'm a size 10-12. I bought this skirt in navy last year in large, and the sizing was pretty generous. The wide elastic waist was too loose to pull up and wear as a tube dress as advertised, but I kept it anyway and I still get compliments every time I wear this skirt because the style is so cool. I also have the same skirt in brown jersey, and the large in that material works really well as a sunny day tube dress, even though I've lost some weight. This year I bought the black skirt in medium to play in orchestra concerts and the fit is just right. The stretchy waist is a plus here because I play brass, and need to take deep breaths. I wore it last night and it was dressy but comfortable, plus the compliments kept coming. What more could you ask? Thanks Zappos! By the way, the blue skirt did fade some after machine washing.

I first found one of these skirts in a consignment shop. I was crazy about it and then a year later I found another one in a different color! I started searching on the internet and finally found the XCVI label. Even though they are a bit over the top on price for me, I am still going to buy as many as I can afford! I am 68 years old and an artist. These skirts and pants hold just the right amount of "artistic flair" when accompanied with my own accessories. I get a lot of compliments even from strangers when I wear them. I plan to "grow old" wearing these...keep making and selling this style!

I am currently a 8US with the occasional 6, 5'6" and right at 150lbs, bigger on the bottom than top. From the reviews of XCVI skirts I knew they ran big and ordered a small in this style (would have ordered an extra small too but it was sold out.) The skirt is lovely and exactly what I expected from the pictures but is going back because I'm still losing baby weight and it was just a little bigger than I wanted long term. Had it been less expensive I would have kept it assuming it would shrink some in the dryer and buy the extra small at a later date. LOVE that it could also double as a maternity skirt. Had I known about it back when it would have been my very first maternity purchase! I also ordered and am keeping the XCVI Double Shirred Panel Knee Length Skirt in XS. The only noticeable difference is that it is a tiny bit smaller in the rear, but not so much so that I am uncomfortable wearing it now. Also a beautiful, well-made skirt.

I love this skirt. I am complimented on it nearly every time I wear it. I am 130 pounds and 5'8" and long in the legs. Concerning my body measurements there is 41" from my belly button to the floor. The small is a perfect fit for me (so they run a bit small). This skirt says that it is 43" and it is, if you do not fold the waist band. I wear this skirt without folding it down, and I wear it with 2" heels and it goes all the way to the floor. You can alter the folding and unfolding to make it longer or shorter. It could be about tea length if you wanted it to be. The green is exactly the color my computer screen portrayed it. It is bunchy, in fun ways. It showed up with a lot of horizontal creases from the packaging. I like the bunchiness better it has after it is washed. In my personal opinion it is much better than the photo given.

I am absolutely in love with this skirt. I get tons of compliments every time I wear it. I am 8 months pregnant and even though it is not a maternity skirt I have been able to rock it. I imagine it can only look better once this belly is gone. I feel super sassy strutting around in this beautiful skirt.

Outstanding skirt. Definitely downsize a whole size as it runs large. You will love your hips and tushy in this skirt. I see it being very cute even as skorter (but not above the knee). Easy to maintain. Travels exceptionally well. Has that European off beat look. Very sexy with ankle booties or chunky heel motor boots. Ordering it in two more colors.

Love at first wearing! Traveled around South America and this looked & felt great each time I pulled out of my bag! Flattering, perfect length, nice fabric, can wear with flip flops or dress up with leggings & boots. Highly recommend, want one in another color for trade off!

Love the way this skirt fits. I'm 5'7" and it hit around my ankle, not the floor. The meadow color was a little more green than pictured. Material and style are great.

XCVI blue is a denim hue, not a navy at all. That aside, this skirt is awesome! Fabric has substance but at the same time it is very soft and not bulky. Shirring is flattering. Length is perfect (finally! I am 5'6). Size 4-6 is a true 6. Foldover knit top is super comfy and looks good. I own other XCVI skirts and some run shorter. This one is a true maxi!

Great go to skirt! Very comfy and the draping is unique. Washes up really nicely and is easy to walk in. I take pretty large strides and this skirt was not restrictive at all. I think it would be really great for travel.

An attractive skirt which fits comfortably and is flattering. The color description is a bit misleading as I thought the skirt would be a true navy blue and it is not.

This skirt is absolutely perfect for dressing up or dressing casual and out the door you go. It is so bohemian and chic! The cotton is just a little stiff, but in the dryer with a dryer sheet and walah it relaxes and hangs nicely. It runs large. After reading all the reviews I ordered an extra small. I am 5'2", slim hips and normally wear a size 2 or 4. The extra small fits like a glove. This skirt is good for any occasion. I just wish it came in different colors, possibly some pretty tie dye patterns. Will order some more if they become available in other colors. This is a must for your closet, if you love skirts!
