I had bought a pair of Levi 505's at Cabazon Outlets and was very happy, so searched online and found Zappos had what I wanted. All went well from start to finish.

Too big ! I got four pairs of these shorts and all were too big.

I tried at first a Medium Stonewash size 31 from Amazon. They were made in Lesotho and felt just a bit too tight. I ordered a size 32 from Amazon. They were made in Nicaragua, the waist was identical to the size 31 I tried previously and the tailoring was irregular (they were not cut/stitched right and too much fabric was left on the right side of the zip fly). Thinking this was a singular quality issue, I ordered another size 32 from Zappos. Again, made in Nicaragua, too small for size 32, poor tailoring (they were bulging in the front). I guess their factory in Nicaragua has no quality control at all. I bought another pair Light Stonewash made in Lesotho size 32 and it fits perfectly. I wish I could find a Medium Stonewash size 32 made in Lesotho.

All I can say is that you better try your Levi's on before buying. Nowadays, Levi's are made at many factories around the world and they do not have quality control. I have had this issue several times at retailers, but thought that I would gamble online. These are too small.

The reason people are saying that these shorts do not fit right is because they are not regular fit shorts. They are 505 shorts but they are straight fit instead of regular fit. Had the same experience with these. If you look on the tags, they say straight fit not regular fit.

The Levi Mens 505 shorts are not the fit they use to be. I have an old pair and the measurement from the top to the crotch is now 11 and 1/2 inches. My old pair has a measurement of 13 inches. They now sit to low on hips.
