These are the original and the best, as far as I am concerned, jeans made by Levi Strauss. I prefer the buttons to the zipper for the logical reason that zippers often fail while six buttons are quite unlikely to fail at one time. Be careful about some of the later colors. The material is far less sturdy one some.

Great fit. Classic look. I'm not a curvy girl so men's jeans fit me better than women's. Ordered 4 inches longer inseam and 1 inch larger in waist and they ended up just perfect.

All time classic jeans. I bought my blue rigid STF's true to waist size and longer inseam for a slim fit. Love that crispy denim feel!

Amazing that Levis 501 used to be synonymous with durability and excellent overall fit. Not anymore! They've changed the waist to tilt down in front to accommodate the generally fat American man, when it used to be all level. Few know that the 501's were just the overalls without the suspenders and bib! That's why the fit was so amazing! Also, Levis has now made the fabric "broken in" by sanding and specially washing it in chemical baths. In short, this just shows that Levis is now following trends rather than setting them like they did for the past 60-70 years. Not only did they change these iconic jeans; they moved major factories to China, or Mexico, whatever, from Frisco! Oh, how Levi Strauss would be sad today!

I am a size 34 x 32 so that is what I ordered and they fit perfectly. I am happy with the pants in every way. Zappos service, as always, was fantastic.

hat can I say. If you have worn the 501 then you know how great they are. I purchased several pairs from Zappos and found the sizes true and the jeans to the standard of Levi. I have trouble finding the 501 in my size but was able to find six in different colors. You cannot go wrong with these.

Nice jeans but my son had to squeeze his generous hiney and thighs into the slim cut of these. He's a slim guy and only 15 but he has some meat around there. Of course, he took of the tags immediately so we are stuck with them. Go for a different cut if you want room in your thighs and rump area.

These fit well and look great. The wash is very true to what's shown in the photos. Something to consider is that due to the treatment of this particular denim style these jeans catch lint pretty easily. It's not quite as bad after washing but you'll definitely notice it in your first wear. It's not too bad and a lint brush takes care of it, just wanted to mention it in case that's a dealbreaker for somebody.

These "Rinse" color 501s are way smaller than the lighter colors of the same size. I went into Macy's to try on a bunch of 501s and what I found is that the sizing is completely inconsistent. Moral of the story: be prepared to try on lots of pairs of 501s before you find the one that fits you (and don't trust the sizing information). Otherwise, jeans look slick and hip, yo.

These are my go-to jeans. I wear them pretty much all the time for work, school, commuting on my bicycle. They are durable, comfortable, and contribute to my overall relaxed demeanor. They are not the most stylish thing to wear, that's why I give em four stars, for me though they are perfect. I always have at least one pair, and they last me about a year each, give or take.

If you like crispy hard jeans, like we wore in the early eighties, these jeans are it. They fit snugged after a wash.

Great jeans. They run small so they fit snug. They feel solid, yet soft. Definitely a pair of jeans that will last and look good.

I have been wearing Levi's for 50 years. The new 501 originals are different than they used to be. Inferior to the old product. I am seriously considering changing brands.

Good fit. They're the real deal. I was going to purchase them from Amazon's site but people were complaining about the possibility of them being knock-offs. These from Zappos have the fit, finish, and materials of the genuine article. Delivery was super fast.

On my 4th pair... nice rigid denim that won't stretch out and sag so much as regular unwashed denim. I would size up up to one size in the waist (if you have skinnier hips you can get away with sticking with your natural waist size) and 2 inches in length. Great color wash after wash. I just soak them in hot soapy water for perhaps a half hour, and then slip then on wet until they are dry. I wouldn't ever put them in the dryer unless you require maximum shrinkage, other than that your guaranteed a great fit and without the high maintenance of designer raw denim. They're 501s; iconic.

Perfect feel, 32x32 works perfectly for long legs! Color works with everything.

I usually buy Levi's from Sears but I have had some bad experiences lately. When I saw Zappos sold them I jumped to buy them. They are Levi originals, priced well and the shipping is amazing. I would definitely buy again.

Love these! They're a classic, cool alternative to khakis. Caution: colors grit and black run a little small in my experience.

I typically wear 30x30, ordered 31x32 shrink-to-fit and after a standard wash and dry cycle, they fit perfect and are soft and comfy.

Great jeans. I like mine to fit loose, so I sized up 4 inches in the waist, and 2 inches in length. Perfect. And, as always, Zappos is #1 in service and selection.
