It was perfect as I expected.

Nice job! The black 501's I purchased fit like the ones I got in 1970- same size. Luckily, this time I did not have to buy them a size too large and sit in a hot water bath so they'd "shrink to fit." I only wish they were made in the USA. I'd pay more if we'd re-import all the Levis' jobs lost to lower wages elsewhere... alas. At least these fit well at the waist, reasonable rise, trim not baggy. Kudos.

Typical 501's: that's what I wanted, and that's what I have. They fit me perfectly, much better than women's jeans, as I have no rear end to speak of.

If you're a lifelong 501 buyer, beware of the preshrunk variety. They are much thinner, lower rise, and very flimsy. The shrink to fit however, seems to be same as ever- traditional rise, strong material. Just follow the sizing instructions (1 up in the waist and 3-4 in length), wash and dry a couple times. Classic Levis style.

Rigid-shrink-to-fit 34/32 (My size is 32/31, but I gave the shrink-to-fit a try): much baggier in the thighs than I expected. The post-washed color is much more "country" than the picture. Not as modern of a cut as I expected either. I wouldn't recommend as you can't return them after they've been shrunk.

Love the classic 505 jeans. And they make my husbands "back side" look good!

These are really nice jeans, and they fit well! I am 6'9 so I always had trouble finding jeans, but these are perfect for me. They fit well, and they look good.

Personally, I think the 501 cut is the best Levi's cut. The wash I picked goes well with pretty much everything! As usual, Zappos rules in terms of shipping time and charges! Keep up the good work!

I bought the shrink to fit jean for the first time. I normally wear a 31 inch waist and 28-29 inch inseam. I went up just one inch in the waist and 2-3 in the inseam (32x32). I soaked them for 1 hour in a tub of hot water and allowed them to fully dry. The waist was perfect but the inseam was a little long. The finished product fits well right now...just may have to hem them an inch or two. Looking forward to breaking these in over the next few months.

I ordered two of these in the grey, or brown shrink to fit classification about six months ago and was very very impressed not only with how they looked straight out of the package and also with how Zappos conducts business. There is no question Zappos is world class operation. However, be warned that these particular jeans shrink by 10 to 20 percent upon the first washing. Thus, be sure to order probably two sizes larger than what you anticipate needing. For instance my 32Wx36I is now probably really a 30Wx34I. Otherwise, the jeans looked great and Zappos is awesome to deal with.

The order process was simple, delivery was prompt and the whole prosess was easey. The product was displayed with accuracy. The one fault I found is that the materials did not state that there was a button fly on the Levi Originals. That was just fine with me but others might want to know this fact in advance.

Zappos was the most amazing supplier I have ever encountered. The jeans I ordered (which were for a friend in London who had asked for them at the very last minute) were delivered the next day, as promised, even though I ordered them on a Sunday afternoon and the best part of all was that the shipping was free. The cost of the jeans was fantastically reasonable and in future, I shall be buying all internet jeans from Zappos and no other supplier. Thank you, Zappos!

I searched many stores over the summer for white jeans and zappos was the only one who had what i wanted in stock. I was impressed on what i could find on this site.

Certainly not the Levi's of old. Having grown up with the brand, quality seems to have tapered off over the years. Not surprising in a world of getting less for your money. That said, 501s still represent a relative value and offer timeless style. My posterior doesn't feel, look, or know any better by my paying 3 times for fancy embroidery on the back pocket.

Excellent product, well made, great fit and looks excellent. Can't say enough about Zappos. Had my order in my hand the next day. Fast, friendly, great price. Excellent return policy and a much better selection of both colors and styles then in a retail department store. Zappos rocks.

I want to start off by saying Zappos is great. I needed an exchange in size and they sent it out, and my order came today and it wasn't suppose to come until tomorrow! Wow, OK the jeans are comfortable, very stylish feel great. I purchase the 'black shrink to fit' and I love the material, there going to look great this fall, purchase them today don't wait!

Zappos is the only place I could find Levi's with a 35 inch waist for my husband. I ordered one day and they came the next. It was cheaper then driving to the mall and a lot easier. I will order from them from now on!

Everyone who has a teen age son needs to shop Zappos! My son's Levi size (29 X 32) is not available in stores anywhere near our home. With Zappos he can choose styles and colors he likes on line, have them the next day! And if they aren't the color or fit he expected, send them back without penalty. I will not buy his jeans any other way. You have saved us both endless frustration, stress and discontent. Thank you so much!

For years been wearing the 505's, I guess I forgot just how well the 501's really fit well, and the white for summer is great.
