Bought them last year and was no problem. I was so happy for a great winter shoes for my son. This year we had early snow so he went to play in a wet snow and His kamik boots were totally wet! The material is not waterproof. So disappointed. I just ordered leather sorel boots for him.

Got these for my oldest son last year and was thrilled when we realized they still fit. Until now. A few weeks ago he came home with a huge chunk missing out of the boot right down to the lining. No idea how it happened. He's a 6th grader, so doesn't even go out for recess. Then today came home complaining the boot was soaked. Found a large crack in the heel of the boot that went right through to the lining. Was very disappointed in these boots. Have bought LL Bean boots before and never had a problem - even passed them down to his two brothers and they were still in great shape to hand down to family and friends.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE BOOTS! I read all the reviews here and was excited to finally find what I thought were waterproof boots. We live in Michigan. On the first day that my son, who is six, wore them he came home with wet feet. At first, I thought that he has done this- somehow let the water/snow in. After reading additional reviews on Amazon about this boot, I realized we were not alone with the WET BOOTS and INSOLES, and that it was nothing that my son was doing to create this. I contacted the company via email, as there is no contact phone number available, and have not yet gotten a reply. I am returning the boots today. We are going to try the Boggs.
