Here is the scoop on these boots. All the little complaints about tightness in the toe or ankle area all go away if you wear them inside for a few days. They end up being very comfortable. I personally just cannot get used to the style. Because they are a flat boot with no heel and also have a short shaft, they make me look very boyish, especially with skinny jeans. I look like a leprechaun! They are all right with a short skirt and tights, but I cannot justify spending this amount if they are not great. If you want comfort over style than give these a chance and wear around the house to make sure!

So far these boots are great. I wanted a pair of waterproof boots that would be warm enough for Midwestern winter, but not be intolerable indoors. These boots are comfortable, with super soft leather and a sturdy lining. I've also gotten a number of compliments on their appearance.

These boots are great! I waited until the first snow in my hometown before writing this review - so I can vouch for their quality. My only complaint is that they are not very warm - if you plan on walking long distances in the cold, you may want to double up on the socks.

Got these for a cold/snowy winter in Europe and NYC...and they were perfect. I'm usually a 9 and so I ordered a 9 and it fit just right. The sole on the bottom is magical and totally prevents slipping. These boots are fairly casual, which is the only drawback I have found so far. I'm a huge fan. As always, Zappos was amazing!

Boot is prettier in "person" than in the picture. I'm a perfect size 8 and they were too tight all around - so I'm sizing up to an 8 1/2. I imagine they will look quite good with skirts and dresses.

This pair was a keeper! Thank-you Zappos for allowing me to order and return 3 other pairs of boots that just did not fit correctly. I love love this pair of Teva Boots, they are super comfortable and also look very stylish too.

Love this boot! It's very comfortable and cute. I consider the look rather casual, but you could wear it with moderately dressy apparel. I found the fit a little tight in the toe box at first, but it loosened up after wearing a few times. Otherwise they are true to size. Highly recommended.

I love these boots! So comfortable and warm! The wrap around strap with button is a cute accent. I wear them with pants and jeans.

Loved the boot but the shaft was not the desired length I was looking for. Very comfortable. Ordered a half size bigger to accomodate thicker socks.

These are extremely comfortable and stylish. One issue is that the strap constantly falls off (the loop is too wide for the size of the button!), which is annoying, but not a deal breaker.

These are very comfortable, stylish, and true to size. The only downside is that because the leather is very soft, so it smudges/shows marks easily.

These are relatively comfortable and versatile but kind of ugly. They don't taper much at the ankle, and I felt like they gave me a kind of fat, straight cankle look. The shaft height was good for a petite frame, and no problem zipping up (I have average calves). They were wearable with skinny jeans and skirts but didn't look very flattering. I am a size 8 and ordered an 8.5, which fit well with socks. Probably true to size with stocking feet.

I love the look of this boot, and the soft leather. It's lightweight. The footbed is soft, and soles are flexible. But there is a complete lack of arch support, and for me with high arches, this is such a bummer. If I am on my feet for several hours, my feet are not too happy after a while. I am going to stick to Merrell boots in the future.

They are really comfortable, I normally wear a 7.5 or 8 depending on the width of the shoe and at first I tried the 7.5 but it was so small around the ankle that I couldn't put my foot in so I exchanged it for an 8 instead.

These boots are very comfortable! They are a great color, and the leather is soft, but they do tend to scuff easily. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a casual brown boot.

I ordered this boot to teach in and LOVE IT! So comfortable the very first day- looks cute and fits well. I'm a true size 5, and it fits great.

These boots were comfortable when I tried them on, but shorter than I expected (only came half way up my calf, and I don't have long legs). They also look a lot like rain boots and I was hoping for something a bit more formal. The leather seems to be high quality, but the little strap around the top makes them annoying to put on. I'm returning them in favor of an equestrian style boot.

I like this shoe, but one of them is too short, so my toe hits the end. I don't know that a larger size would have worked out though unless I was wearing a very thick sock. I probably would not buy them again but only for that reason. Everything else is good about the shoe except for the pointless strap that goes around the top that gets in the way of putting the shoe on. Ok, they are not the ideal shoe. Keep shopping around.

I'm sending these back. Not only does this shoe offer little support in the footbed, it also looks very cheap.

Searched and searched for my first pair of real boots. I love the leather and the look, but the ankle has too much room in it. Only one review out of 80 mentioned this and I should have listened. I'm sad I have to send them back but happy Zappos makes it possible to keep trying until the perfect fit comes my way.

I am returning these very cute boots, which are also extremely comfortable right out of the box. Sadly, as beautiful as the leather is and as wonderful as the foot fit, the calf part of these are way too wide for anyone with medium to thin calves! In the picture they look perfect, on me they look exactly like rubber rain boots.

I have been looking for boots for years, and thought I'd found them with these. Ordered them at full price; I couldn't wait to get them after reading all the great reviews. I'm a size 7.5, and although the foot fits perfectly, the top calf part of the boot is so flared that it sticks out underneath my (flared leg) jeans. I tried them with wide leg trouser jeans, but when I walk, you can still see the rim of the boots. Maybe I have skinny calves, I'm 105 lbs, but I don't usually have a problem with other boots. I tried tucking in my jeans, it looked like I was on my way to the barn to shovel cow dung. Not the look I was hoping for. I'm very disappointed to have to return these. They are so comfortable, and the leather is very soft and stretchy, I imagine they mold to your foot like a dream. Teva needs to come out with a shorter version of these exact boots for people like me who wear them under jeans. The color Cigar was fabulous. I'm so bummed.

This is definitely a comfort only shoe. I'm normally size 10, but I ordered an 11 because of "it runs small" reviews, and they were too big for me. Teva Montecito looked like a bad quality shoe; the inner insole material lining was very choppy looking, the seams were uneven, and overall they're poor quality. Leather was scuffed up and looked worn in many places. It fit my left foot a lot looser especially around the ankle; it was sagging down making my ankle look a lot larger then it is. I would not recommend this for anything other then your casual dog walking. Not a dress up shoe.
