These are very comfortable shoes. Currently my most comfortable shoe, except maybe my running shoes. They are great for walking and also look good enough for biz casual, in my opinion.

These shoes are great. They fit my foot perfectly, provide good arch support, they breathe when I'm working up a sweat, durable construction, and they look good too. A nice plus is that they are water resistant. Where I live, we get a good amount of rain and walking through puddles is not a worry for me when I wear these shoes. I ordered two pairs of shoes, thinking I would decide between the two and ended up keeping them both. I'm a huge fan of Teva shoes, but not so much the sandals.

Great shoe, used it already for a 15 mile day in Arizona hiking around and had little problems. My one recommendation though is to make sure you wear wool socks at first otherwise you will blister quickly. I haven't fully broken them in yet but give them a big thumbs up for the first month.

Very comfortable shoe. No breaking in period. Holding up very well. Not really a hiking shoe, more of a walk around town shoe for me. Bought the Beluga and the brown as well.

These started off a little stiff, but now they are super comfortable. I like them a lot so far (it has only been a little over a month). The color is lighter than what is shown in the stock photo, unfortunately.

The Teva Riva eVent is a great shoe. Order half a size larger though. I wear a solid size 9 in everything else, but the 9½ fits perfectly. I liked them so much that I bought the mesh version also.

I teach sixth grade and I'm on my feet and moving all day. I usually wear Keens but decided to give these a try and wasn't disappointed. They are really comfortable and fit my slightly narrow foot well.

I purchased these shoes for a week long trip to London and Paris back in the spring and ended up ordering these a half size larger to allow for thicker socks. They held up quite well and were very comfortable despite walking for hours at a time. They also kept my feet warm and dry in the notoriously fickle UK weather. Highly recommended for urban trekking and some light hiking.

Great shoe for cold weather. It is very waterproof and worked for me quite well traveling throughout India in February. You can walk comfortably forever in this shoe. It feels very snug in the beginning but will break in well after about ten to twenty miles in them. Fits well for my wide feet. Looks very nice! Previously I tried the Garmont Nuvi Vegan and it was too tight on the width even with a size up.

This is an amazing shoe. I stumbled upon it locally but not in the right size. I was a little leery about buying a shoe on line so I tried similar shoes from the same mfg and settled on a size. My order was processed quickly and arrived with in a few days. Not only was I impressed with Zappos, I was totally impressed with the quality and fit of my new Teva's. I will absolutely consider using Zappos for future purchases.

Great shoes! My husband saw these at REI and wanted them but they didn\'t have his size. Luckily Zappos had them and they were delivered the next day! Thank you for your great selection, prices and incredibly awesome service!\r\n\r\n

This is a very comfortable shoe and I had no problems with break-in. I bought these for hiking in Utah and they have a good tread. My only complaint is that they were not very secure on my feet even though I tied them as tightly as possible. They felt wobbly on the steeper inclines and uneven ground that I walked on. They felt comfortably secure when I tried them on, but I probably would not recommend them for serious hiking.

I bought this shoe for some light hiking and walking. I have been disappointed with the comfort of the shoe in longer distances. It pinches the toe area, and in the heel area. I've put pads in the heel area, and that seems to help. If I wear thinner socks, it helps with the toe discomfort. I do appreciate the style, and versatility of the shoe - (i.e. can be worn to work). It does seem to do well in wet situations, and has good traction. Good style.

I hiked 2,200 miles on the Appalachian trail this summer with this shoe. Teva replaced the shoe for me under warranty by the time I had reached southern Vermont, headed for Georgia. The replacement pair lasted the rest of the way and, I might add, extremely well through all types of imaginable hardships from constant wetness to intense heat and back to freezing temperatures. The first thing to fall apart on the shoe is the rubber toe covering which usually only peels back slightly. On each pair, the inside section of material between the sole and the toe box eventually split with the crease of my walking motion. I must stress that 3 million steps will do that to any shoe. The elevation gains equate to 11 Mt Everests' or so, and I probably spent a few weeks in rain - all said and done. I highly recommend this shoe. It is comfortable, breathable, grippy, and above all, durable.

My second pair. I walk every day and have for years. I tried a lot of different shoes. The Teva Riva eVent holds up better than most. I put about fifteen miles a day on these shoes. After five months of this the sole is holding up well but the padding is getting compacted so I have to rotate the shoes, wearing a different pair each day. It takes about a week's worth of wear to break the shoe in so it doesn't feel stiff. One thing, the shoe keeps it's good looks and it provides a firm grip even on slippery surfaces.

Read the reviews. Bought a half size larger, which was recommended. There is a small break in period. I flexed them well, broke in 2 days, very satisfied so far with semi thick socks. Definitely waterproof. Worth every penny. They breathe well like stated. Glad I purchased a half size larger. Also a fan of Salomon.

These are really very comfortable shoes and very well made. I have tried several other brands with waterproof; however, they don't breathe and my feet get so hot. These shoes not only make my feet feel cool they also provide perfect comfort. I am very satisfied.

Bought this shoe sight unseen based on positive reviews, and glad I did. Shoe fit perfect, looks good, feels great, and seems very well made. I have not yet been on any hikes but I wear it as my everyday shoe.

The Teva Riva eVent is a great shoe. I use it to walk the dog on black top a mile and a half every day. It is comfortable enough to wear all day. The fit was very good but not excellent. My shoe size is small and in these the left heal cup was low and loose. After break in and using a thick sock there was no trouble. The vibram sole has lots of traction. I have only had the shoes a month so I can't give you a report on how well they will last.

I bought this shoe because I needed a low top hiking shoe for rough terrain, and it had to repel water. Today I gave it quite a test. We have had days of rain and the fields around here are muddy and even have standing water. Took my dog for a 4 mile hike through the fields, sometimes in inch deep water, sometimes in slippery mud. The leather of the shoes got soaked, but the breathable liner kept my feet dry. Feet did not sweat either, even though I was wearing wool hiking socks. The shoes did not need break-in, but I did use the pliers trick I read about in a review to get rid of the "hard spots." I would not be afraid to walk 20 miles in the hills in these shoes. I made a wise choice.

I ordered this shoe because I wanted something for "everyday" use that could also stand up to moderate hiking and was waterproof.
Normally, I wear a 10.5 but had to return the original pair for a size 10. (Of course, Zappos's excellent customer service had the replacement pair in my hands before I could even send off the original pair.)
The shoes, while supple, started off a bit stiff on the top side around my toes where the shoe "bends", a problem I've had with other shoes. I've had them for about a month now and they have finally broken in nicely.
I like the casual look of this shoe but it isn't as badass in person as I had imagined, more of a soccer-dad feel to it because of the long laces, which are not shown in the picture.

A well-fitting, sturdy shoe with a comfortable lining and good traction. I love the leather collar; avoid that cambrelle stuff, it always seems to get a hole shredded by the back of your achilles. I have the Charred color, in reality they're a lighter brown than what is pictured in Zappos.

I was skeptical if these shoes would be comfortable and functional. I knew I liked the styling online. I can attest they are super comfortable and very functional. I've previously only worn Merrells and this pair feels better than any pair of Merrells I've had (and I was extremely happy with them).

I wanted a pair of quality, durable walking shoes, and I found them. I hadn't heard of Tevas and these were recommended to me. They get considerable daily use and are awesome for day hikes and rock scrambling. I used the size guidelines and had to return them for a larger size, and Zappos' turnaround was awesome. I wasn't sure the size up was enough because they were rubbing my Achilles a bit much. I taped them for the break-in and now they are completely comfortable, like a glove. They are great, well-made products!
