I bought these for work to replace a similar Clarks shoe that had worn out. Those old shoes were more like a heeled loafer. They went well with any pants. However these shoes have kind of a weird style and I feel like they don't look as stylish. I haven't worn them much as a result unfortunately. They are kind of like a half-boot. But they only half cover the top of your foot so your sock/foot is showing and it looks weird to me.

Sadly, after only a few wears, these shoes had stretched so much that they fell off my feel when I walked. Will reorder in a smaller size.

I absolutely love the style of these shoes. In fact, I've purchased them several times over the past few years. My only complaint is that the leather peels off. I called Clark's customer service and explained what was going on and asked whether this was common. He had no answer, but immediately offered to send me a free pair. I agreed, but within two months they started peeling again. I've never seen a leather shoe do this. I had even asked the Customer Service rep if it was really leather or was I misunderstanding what it was made from. Again, I love the comfort and style of this shoe, but I've given up on them since every single pair I have (presently have two pairs of them) peels. I don't wear them every day, as I alternate shoes and don't wear them in bad weather.

These used to be my go-to shoes for work. I wore them religiously every day with trousers and loved everything about them - the silhouette they gave me, their all-day comfort, the fact that I could wear them with socks, the elegant noise they make when walking on hard surfaces - everything. The problem that I've been having with Clarks shoes is that they just don't stand the test of time. After maybe 6 months the heel cap fell off. No biggie, I brought it to the shoe repair store. Right after they were fixed, the outer surface of the leather started peeling off. This was not repairable and made the shoes instantly un-wearable for work. I've had this issue with other Clarks purchases and I've decided that they just aren't worth the hefty investment.

Unfortunately, despite all the good reviews, this shoe didn't work for me. I got the correct size and wore it around the house for about an hour and it was fine but when I wore it out I found that I could not stand the pressure of the diagonal pleats across the top -- it was so bad that I bought another pair of shoes at lunch time just to make it through the work day. Have since tried to stretch and smooth the inside of the shoe with a shoe stretch product but I still can't wear them without pain.

Looked great in the picture but as soon as I got them in the mail I knew they were going back. I am a young professional and these were definitely not the shoe for me. Ended up going with a more stylish Clarks flat instead.

Very comfortable, but unfortunately, after just a few months of very moderate wear (1-2 times per week) the leather on the back of the shoe started peeling off. I'm very disappointed, because they're really comfortable.

I expected Clarks to be comfortable, but these shoes cause me to get blisters. I used a show stretcher because I thought maybe they were too tight, but they still give me blisters. I have worn them twice and cannot wear them again but cannot return them. So I am basically stuck with them - unhappily.

Nice shoe, but "leather" covering peels off without scuffing, started on 1st wear. Would not recommend due to poor quality of material.

They are very narrow in the front. I had another pair of similar Clarks, that they no longer make, and the fit was totally distinct.
