I ordered these because I adore my Dansko clogs and was hoping that I could get an equally comfortable boot. I'm so sad to report that they were not. These boots do have the most comfortable foot beds of all of the boots I have tried, but as others have said, the ankles are much too big and the leather is too stiff. The stiff leather wouldn't be such a problem for me if the ankles were the right size. The problem is that the stiff leather causes the ankle to fold and dig into the front of my ankle. It is bad enough to have the boot hurting my ankle but then the leather pops back out and makes a popping sound when you walk. When wide ankle and wide calf circumference also make them look a little like rain boots when looking at them front on. I'm returning them but I am very sad about it because I love the comfort of the foot bed.

I love these shoes! So comfortable and cute! When I travel to Europe, I bring these and one other pair of shoes, as I can wear these everywhere, every day!

I cannot say enough about these boots! The fit is great, especially around the calves and I'm 5'0. High quality boot, the leather has a durable feel. I'll be buying these boots in brown (and I don't buy the same style in different colors ever). The quick delivery was a very pleasant surprise. The first pair received had a manufacturer's flaw but was exchanged by Zappos in no time flat. Thanks Zappos!

Finally, a quality boot that fits my calf, if just barely. I have a 15 inch calf at it's widest, and I've been looking for a quality brown leather boot for years. This one is pretty tight to get on, but I can already tell that that leather is stretching and loosening a bit. Super high quality, great detailing, exceptionally comfortable. Runs a little large. I wear a 37 in a Dansko clog, and so I ordered this boot in the same size. I have a feeling that I could have ordered the 36, but the 37 works.

I purchased these boots in black. I ordered them two times. The first time I received them I fell in love with everything about them with one exception. I felt the ankle was a bit stiff. So I returned and tried another brand but I could not get the Dansko Bella boot out of my mind. I returned the other brand and reordered the Dansko Bella in black. I spent some time walking around in them at home on carpet. I decided that I just love them too much to return. I feel that with time the ankle will loosen. They run true to size. I wear a 7 1/2 and the size 38 was a perfect fit. You will love them I am sure. I wore them out and received lots of compliments!

I like the look of this leather boot. The size of heel and color. These boots have a classic look and I knew that with any age or time that these would always be complementary to many outfits.

This is a fabulously comfortable boot. My sister in Colorado told me about this boot. Out here in Northern California our weather isn't very cold, so I was not sure if I needed them. I am so glad I took her advice. I do a lot of motorcycle riding with my boyfriend and these boots are great for that. They keep your legs nice and warm. They are true to size so no need to adjust your size. I love them. It is the most comfortable boot I have ever owned. Also, they are elegant and classy looking and I get a lot of compliments on them.

I bought a pair of brown Dansko Nias for my daughter a year ago & she wore them EVERY day! Needless to say she now wanted them in black. I searched high and low in stores & online for her size for a Christmas gift and none could be located-I was devastated! I ordered a pair of black Dansko Bella boots for her thinking it was the most similar in appearance & hoped she like them. On Christmas morning, one of my favorite memories will always be the expression on her face when she tried on those boots and pranced around the house! Not only did she look like a million bucks, she couldn't believe they actually felt BETTER than the Nias-Said they hugged her calves like a glove, which meant her jeans wouldn't ride up when she tucked them in & walked around. The only difference she found was the part that wrapped over the top of her ankle was stiff at first. Good news is, because it's leather, she broke it in by the time the night was over. Thank you for making my daughter's & MY Christmas a joyful one!! And thank you Dansko for making boots that are beautiful and just like the Engergizer Bunny the awesome quality seems to live on & on & on.......

Being a huge fan of Dansko clogs, I am also happy with these boots. I bought the same size that I wear in the clogs and the boots fit well. They look good under pants or with pant-legs tucked in. I am enjoying them!

Don't let these boots scare you! When you pull them out of the box, the leather is very stiff, but with a couple weeks of wear they break in and become quite comfortable. I was tempted to send mine back after the first time I tried them on, I'm so glad that I didn't. The leather is gorgeous, and the fit is fabulous. Wonderful heel height too. I absolutely adore these boots.

I debated for weeks over which boots to get, and finally these Dansko Bella boots became the winner. I'm so pleased with them; they are beautiful leather, with just the right amount of heel to be taller but easy to walk in also. They are very comfortable, and the more I wear them, the better they feel. At first, I couldn't wear them longer than a half-day; I wouldn't say that they are completely comfortable by the end of a day now, but I love wearing them about, they make me feel very stylish! The shaft is a rather stiff leather, but breaking in has gotten rid of the little pinches that were there at first. I just fit into the calf-width of this boot (with socks on); the measurements are pretty accurate. I normally wear a size 9 wide, but a 40 in Dansko clogs always works for me, as did with this boot, plus it gives me room to wear a boot sock for warmth. I am extremely satisfied with my Bellas!

Good for wide feet. I wear a 7.5 EE and after returning 3 or 4 pairs of other boots, I tried these in a 39 in black (to accommodate a cushy arch support insole). I liked them so much I bought the brown pair as well.

These are comfortable boots! I can't think of another 2 1/2 inch shoe or boot I've ever owned that feels this great. It's like wearing slippers. It's true they are a little baggy at the ankle, but I like that because I can tuck in boot-cut jeans and they still fit perfectly. They do run big, so if you're not wearing thick socks with them, order a size smaller.

I definitely don't understand the negative reviews for these boots. Not only are they comfortable, they are exactly what I wanted in a boot. The leather is fabulous and the style is classic and beautiful. Everyone is different: I absolutely LOVE these boots and with Zappos return policy, there is everything to gain and absolutely nothing to lose. Highly recommend!

I love these boots! I have an issue with collapsed arches and need to have good arches in my shoes. These are it! I can walk all over town in these boots, come home, and I find myself leaving my boots on because they are that comfortable. I also had excellent service from Zappos when I needed the larger size. They had it to me the very next day for free! Zappos rocks.

I finally found my perfect boot. I ordered the black suede Bella boots in my usual Dansko size and they fit like a dream, right out of the box. I'd been concerned about other reviewers' comments about the calf, but I found the fit just right. (Which is saying a lot, considering that I used to dance ballet and am now a bodybuilder!) I love the style of these boots. They look great with everything, and are truly comfortable. My only regret is that I can't afford to buy a pair in every color.

Gorgeous, but... These boots are gorgeous and comfortable and perfect in so many ways. I have a relatively slender calf and they fit really well. There was a little bit of bunching around the ankle but that's not why I returned them. Unfortunately I found the heel too high. I have an old ankle injury that flares up if I wear heels this high. I was very disappointed because I loved them so much, but I had to go with a flatter boot. If I could wear heels these are the most comfortable I could imagine!
