This is a very comfortable shoe. The sole is a bit softer than the Professional styles. I did order one size up from my usual. The fit is a bit loose, but with a little padding it will work. It's doubtful that my regular size would have fit. One thing I did not like - the color has already faded from the front of one of the shoes. I had this happen before with a Dansko product. I didn't seek redress that time because I was very happy with the shoes, but now at less than a year old they definitely show significant fading. I hope that the color fading on the Solstice doesn't progress.

Good looking clogs. My first pair of Dankso Solstice. I've worn Dankso Professional for years. Solstice clogs felt weird out of the box; assumed that I needed to become accustomed to a different style of clog--so I did not return to Zappos. I ended up donating to a thrift store to get them out of the house. Size 38 Solstice is a different fit than the Dankso Professional size 38. The shoe did not seem to be a wrong size; however, after a day in the clogs, my toes were sad little beasties. Not squeezed--but repeatedly smashed into the front of the shoe. (Sounds like clog was too big? But I think just not a style that fits my foot).

This was my first pair of Dansko shoes ordered. The friends that I have who own them swear by them, and the reviews seemed promising. I do not have a local retailer for this product to try on a pair so I ordered them sight unseen. There was a three week break-in period that was very unpleasant. I have very high arches and the top of the shoe was very constricting until it finally stretched out. I'm not sure I'm really a fan. It is a regular footbed, loads of room in the toes by an extremely hard heel. This was not a great first impression to this raved about shoe.

I am a Dansko maven, but although I tried to like these shoes, I couldn\'t. They were too narrow, too short and the back of the shoe rubbed my heel. I have about a dozen pairs of Dansko clogs, and they all fit a tad differently, but the Solstice did not fit as expected. I am a size 37, and I usually have toe wiggle room, my foot sits flat and there is no rubbing whatsoever in any of my clogs. The Solstice style is very pretty, and the color is deep and rich, but those features weren\'t enough to keep these shoes. I sent them back.

I bought these shoes because they were a sleeker look for the dansko. It took wearing these shoes for a full day to realize that that cute band going across the top was actually pressing down on my foot. Unfortunately that band is in exactly the wrong place for the shape of my foot. I thought that if I wore them long enough the shoe would give way and stretch a little for me. After months of trying and the bumps on my feet not going down I decided I was done. I wish that band had a little more elasticity to it, then it might not have hurt.

I've been a Dankso wearer for a very long time. I love their shoes. I usually wear the professional clog, volley, and various sandals. I purchased this shoe with certainly that I'd love it as much as my other Danksos, but sadly, this pair is a real disappointment. The side button fell off one of the shoes early on, after purchase. I had it glued back on, but it was lost somewhere weeks later. The leather or something in the make is different as well because my feet sweat like dogs in the sauna when I wear them. This pair wasn't enough to make me leave Dansko for good, but I'll certainly keep a pulse on other options. (Still love Zappos though!)

Very disappointed. I have worn Dansko for years -- not the heavier boxier styles but the others like Solstice. Past couple years noticed a major manufacturing flaw. I walk a lot and after only a couple months the heels crack right at the base of the arch. Third time this has happened. Will not risk again. This price for three months is not worth it (and all the cobblers can do is glue the sections and put a rubber tread underneath -- but the crack reappears a few months later). My shoe repair guy says he's seeing this happen to a lot of people. Dansko, please get your quality control in order so I can come back!

I would never buy this product again. I have the traditional Danskos in brown that I wear almost every day and after 2 days they scuffed to white and now 1 year later (wearing 1 every 2 weeks or so) the button came off...not durable and not worth the money. Also can be uncomfortable.

I love this shoe but am very disappointed that the button cover fell off of one of the shoes. I won't wear them out anymore, only wore them a few times.

Button keeps coming off! I have worn these shoes for 3 months and have had to have the button put back on by a cobbler twice! Ugh! I am not happy with this shoe at all. After paying this much for a pair of shoes I expect better.

Bought one pair. Button popped off four days later. Exchanged them. Button popped off the same week. Terrible design (but very comfortable and cute!).

I got these because I liked the styling and thought they would look good with white summer slacks. They looked good, but felt awful. I blistered each time I wore them. They did not hold up with the buttons popping off within days. Do not waste your money, just buy the Dansko shoes. You get what you pay for!

Great shoes! My second pair. I have a bad bunion and I can wear these shoes for hours pain free! They do run narrow which I love!

Generally seems smaller than other Dansko clogs. Disappointing from that perspective.

I love this shoe! I have been hesitant to spend this much on a pair of shoes; however, my feet and back will no longer allow me to wear anything but Dansko's or a similar quality shoe. Zappos was great and the website was easy to navigate as well.

Awesome! Even more comfortable than the classic "professional" clogs because the sole is made of a lighter, more springy synthetic material. They are a tiny bit more narrow at the toe than the professional style, but have a slimmer look, not so clunky. I stand all day every day at my job and, in these clogs, my feet still go home happy!

I used to say "No Danskos for me, thank you. They are too heavy." Now I am wearing these almost every day to work and back home, even throughout the evening. I have absolutely no fatigue or discomfort. The other night I had worked all day, made dinner, getting ready for bed and I was amazed that I still had my Danskos on and did not even realize it. They are amazingly lightweight for the volume of shoe that you are getting. When you walk they feel so stable, there is no slipping or wobbling. I work on my feet all day and am 53 years old. If I am not driving back and forth to work, I am standing up. Trust me, if you stand at work, you need to try these. They are worth every dollar.

I would highly recommend these clogs to anyone who does a lot of walking or standing on all types of terrain concrete, gravel. They look very professional with suits and very stylish with tights and a skirt. I own three pairs two in blue and one in black and I wear them all year round. My back has never felt so good. They also keep your feet dry in hot climates and warm in the cold. If you do a lot of traveling to do easy to get in and out of at the airport. I am frequently asked where I purchased them am always happy to share what wonderful shoes they are where I purchased them. I have a high in-step and frequently had back issues with other shoes. I have worn nothing else for the last five years. I now have happy feet! It greatly improves your attitude when your feet do not hurt.

Zappos is the best in customer service. I live in remote area and my order arrives within two days. If I need to send merchandise it is back never a problem. Zappos makes it so easy.

Very comfortable, not the sturdy foot bed like regular Danskos but still very nice also not as heavy. Glad I was able to find in my size for such a nice shoe. I am surprised they discontinued this style. Thanks Zappos for finding my size.

This is my second pair of Dansko Solstices in 4 years. I love them. I wear them to work in "rotation" with my Dansko Professionl clogs. The Solstice is a clog type but with a softer more flexible sole. Still more support than an athletic shoe. I work on my feet, 8-9 hours a day on concrete floors and out of the box this is a great shoe! Zappos had these to me in 2 days flat! Awesome!

I tried several pairs of the Dansko Pro and the new Pro Xp style. None of them felt great on my feet. I just could not find the right fit. The first time I tried on this shoe it was perfect! Like it was made for my foot! I thought the Dansko Pro was a little sloppy on my feet. The Pro Xp hurt the top of my feet. This shoe is sleek and stylish! Great for work or play! So happy I have found this shoe! I have heel fascitits and this was almost an instant cure!
