I have had 3 pair of these from Zappos. I have had to return them because the button on the side comes off. Otherwise they are great shoes. I just wish I could wear them longer.

I am a Dansko shoe wearer and only wear Dansko's, but they are not being made in Portugal any longer. They are now being mass produced in China and the quality just isn't the same. the leather is thinner and do not wear as well. So when shopping for Dansko's just check inside the show to see where they are made. I believe some are still made in Portugal. I was and am very disappointed in the mass production of this brand of shoes.

These would be so comfortable, the arch is great, but tight in toe box for me. I think if I ordered larger they'd slip on heel. Seems they have to fit you perfectly to work; it's that kind of shoe.

Dansko lovers beware! I love Danskos, once you wear one it is hard to wear anything else...but beware of this style! I bought one (not from Zappos, which I regret everyday because Zappos is the best!) in Navy last season and the button came of! So, the little strap flapped around until I found new buttons (took forever) and then I had to glue them on, and they still don't stay. I should have taken them to a shoe repairman. Don't waste your money on these. I am a teacher.

The shoes are very comfortable, lightweight, and wearing them at work where I stand and walk a lot on hard floors helps with knee discomfort. However, a button cover came off the first day I wore them. A replacement pair was promptly sent in exchange, and now a button cover has come off this pair after not too many wears. I\'m on the phone right now to ask for customer service to replace the shoes again.

Overall a comfortable shoe and good arch support. However, I was disappointed in the quality of the leather and the seams. The leather seems much cheaper than that of the past Danskos I've owned, and there is a visible gap along the seams on the side of the shoe. I feel that Dansko has compromised in quality. This shoe is made in China and it shows. I have a different pair of Dansko's from 5 years ago which was made in Portugal. Aside from my wearing out the tread from extensive use, the leather and all the construction in my old pair is far superior. My old pair also has a removable footbed and the Solstice does not. That said, the bottom arch support still feels good.

Bought pair of Dansko Solstice 3/6/13. Within 2 weeks the button on the right shoe popped off. Found it, took it to shoe repair and had reapplied. Last week I found that the sole has split completely down to the metal rod all the way across the right shoe. Very upset!

These shoes have an unfortunate pressure point right on the top of the foot, near the middle. I kept wearing them, thinking the leather would stretch and the discomfort would cease, but it only got worse. Highly disappointed in these! My previous pair (slightly different style, unfortunately discontinued) felt awesome and lasted years.

I bought the Solstice because it is cute, lightweight, and initially is comfortable. What I don't like about this shoe is the material that was used to create to sole. It's not made of rubber and therefore doesn't take the impact that a rubber sole shoe does. I'm a high school librarian and am on my feet all day. In addition, the leather is not made of good quality and doesn't allow your feet to breath. I'm planning on returning these and am going to purchase Ariat's Amy.

Too tight! I'm a huge fan of Dansko and have been through many pairs but this style is cut narrower than the Professional. Too bad, cause they are cute but I'm going to back to the original.

I really wanted these shoes to work, but they just didn't. They felt a half size too small on the left foot (right foot was fine). I ordered the same size that I usually do for my Dansko's -- was surprised this one didn't work out. After three tries with thick socks to get them to stretch a bit, it wasn't working. I ended up with sore feet and blisters. My attempts to get them to work were abandoned. Loved the color & the style. If you don't have wide feet, this may be the shoe for you. Unfortunately, it wasn't the shoe for me.

I had to order a size up and it was still very uncomfortable; not up to Dansko standards in my opinion though, I was interested in the lighter weight.

Loved the style of the shoe. However the shoe is too narrow and the next size up is too big. So unfortunately I had to return it. I really wish this shoe came in wide.

At first I really liked this shoe. But I have had to return it twice due to the button on the side coming off....both times.
Gonna try the Dansko Summer this time. Nothing to break off!

I have always had success with Dansko's, so decided to buy this pair. I have worn these shoes about 10 times. They are not comfortable & the inside bottom is very hard. There is not much room if you have any arch at all, either. I just bought a shoe insert to try to make these more comfortable as they are really cute shoes! But after being on my feet all day in them, I am about to throw them in the trash!

Thought these would be a great work shoe (I work in a hospital), but sadly I have a lot of foot and hip pain each time I wear these (which is very rarely now). The upper creates this bruise on my foot, so I have to had gauze under my sock to pad it and I frequently roll my ankles in these. Perhaps the stiffness of these types of shoes is what causes some of these issues, but unfortunately I spent a lot of money on a shoe that doesn't fit well.

This shoe felt more narrow than my other Dansko's and after much struggle with pain in my feet, I had to return them. I was displeased since they were stylish and I got lots of compliments. I couldn't bear the pain and each time I wore them, my husband had to massage my feet every night. They did not work for me.

I loved the look of these shoes so much so that I tried them twice, but had to return both. The high arch support causes the top of my foot to hurt and feels uncomfortable in my arch. I was bummed they didn't work out. Zappos service is awesome with returns!

I absolutely loved these shoes when I first got them -- tried to get everyone I met in the shoestores to buy them, too, because they were so comfortable. Great fit, I have high arches and wide feet and they cradled my feet beautifully. However, within 2 months of wearing them almost every day, they were just about destroyed. I wouldn’t say I was very rough on them, just a mom of two toddlers so I’m on the floor a lot, and the leather on the toes got so scraped up and lost all the color. I have had the Professionals before, and being a vet I was on the floor a lot, and those held up much better. I’d say buy them if you are very gentle on your shoes, otherwise stick with the Professional Danskos. I’ve heard that the finish on the leather is different and therefore more protected on the Profs.

I love Dansko shoes, the style is very cute, but I had to return the Dansko Solstice - it was uncomfortable for me to wear - pinching my feet. I wore them around the house hoping they would feel better, but they never did.

Love the look of these shoes, but sadly have to return them. Based on other reviews, I hoped they would fit my narrow foot. I normally wear a size 6, but because several reviews said they run small, ordered a 37. About an inch too long and much too wide. Unfortunately, Zappos is currently out of stock on the color I want in a 36.

Just received my Danskos (Solstice)and unfortunately I have returned them. Here is my opinion of the pros and cons: Pros- nice looking shoe, flattering on foot. Cons- foot slips out of heel while walking and back of shoe rubs on my heels (without socks on). So I decided that I was going to spend some time in them with socks on just walking around (inside) my house. Putting socks on helped with making the rubbing on the back of my heels not feel as bad (but shoes did continue to rub and foot still slipped out); however, after only like 30 steps the shoes started pulling my socks down, and my socks started to get all bunched up under my heel and on top of my foot. Obviously, that isn\'t comfortable. (Not to mention it looks ridiculous!) I believe someone else mentioned in another review that her socks were also pulled down when wearing these shoes. As far as being too narrow as others have mentioned, this was not a problem for me as my feet lean towards being a little on the slender/narrow side. So, if your foot isn\'t more on the narrow side then these shoes may be too narrow for you. Personally, I do not agree with buying a size larger than you would normally wear b/c then you run the risk of the shoe being too large and not serving you well. I believe if the shoe is made properly to begin with then one shouldn\'t have to wear an off size. One more thing, I mentioned that the shoes looked nice on my feet; however, they do tend to favor a Swedish/wooden clog look with a curled up toe. :-) That in itself might be a turn-off for some? Let me just say this about Zappos...they ROCK!!! they are the absolute best store to order from online period!!! Their customer service beats the competition hands down and their return policy is so incredibly generous! Good luck with your Dansko purchase and I hope my little review helped.

These are nice looking shoes, but my socks scooch down into my shoe. Not after wearing for awhile, but immediately. I've put a heel pad in them, insoles and haven't found anything that works. If they were a half size smaller, they would be too tight. These are very expensive shoes to not wear.

I normally enjoy DANSKO shoes but this particular pair of shoes failed in the wear and tear department. I did not have them very long, less than 6 months when the scuff was apparent, the button has no more 'black' on them - all in all they look like I marched through the woods everyday when in fact, I wore them out an about shopping. Not happy with these at all. I no longer can wear them unless I either use black shoe polish or at this point, may relegate them to the garden. When I wrote DANSKO about them, they did nothing. I am pretty unhappy with the company as well as with this particular pair of shoes. DISAPPOINTMENT. I cannot recommend these shoes because of this experience.

My first pair of Danskos lasted for three years of consistent hospital use, so I had high hope for this pair. Unfortunately, they aren't the same leather as normal Danskos after only a few weeks of wearing them they started to develop very noticeable scuff marks that are difficult to cover up. Then after having the shoes only a couple months one of the buttons popped off.
