I have to have completely white shoes that completely cover my foot for work, and I am so happy that I discovered these shoes from Dansko! The style is similar to that of the Professional clogs, but the leather is a bit thinner all around, so it might not be quite as durable in the long run, and the top of the shoes have a tiny bit of elastic, so if the tough upper is too hard on your foot in the Professional, this might be a good alternative, especially if you have crazy high arches. I have been wearing them every day since I got them, now going on about two months straight, and they are so much better on my feet than my old sneakers were. I find that these run pretty small, and they feel a little smaller than my technically same-size Professionals. I would recommend going up at least one whole size, if not more. The arch support is pretty good, so if your feet are normal, these should be great for you; if your arches are high, they would probably be closer to medium support.

I pretty much want to wear this shoe every day of my life. I do not buy the professional model anymore, just these. They are so much lighter and fit like a glove. If you are new to Danskos, you should try this style on at a store to get the right size then order from Zappos. They should fit so that your heel lifts out of the shoe with each step. I wear a 7½, and I buy a 39. This style will rub your heel a bit. I wear Band-Aids on the heel until they are broken in. Perfect! And I am picky.

This is the 4th pair of Dansko's that I have purchased in the last 5 years. I own this same style in navy blue and was so happy with them that I purchased Solstice in black also. It is a classic shoe with just enough styling to it to not be plain. I wear them with slacks and with dresses. They give me enough support without being too orthopedic looking. I like the fact that these are not super low cut because I need the support across the top of my foot. I am in my 50s and wore too many pumps with a very high heel when I was younger and I need the overall support now. My only complaint with this shoe is that the heel seems to rub up and down more than my navy pair. I do not wear the black ones 2 days in a row because I do not want to wear a blister or get callouses. I have received compliments on this style. Thank you Zappos for notifying me when this style became available in this smaller size (35).

This is my third pair of Dansko shoes -- my patent leather Danskos fit much differently, so I ordered the Solstice in the same size (41), but ended up needing a 42. Zappos makes returns easy, though, so that wasn't a problem!

I love this (Dansko Solstice) style! I've worn Dansko Professional, mostly, for about 15 years. Around 2007, I bought a new pair of Professionals and was distressed by the new last - even going from a 41 to a 42, the arch was much shallower and fits tightly across the top of my foot even after being stretched by a local cobbler. I understand Sanita may fit more like old Danskos - not sure. But these Solstice are my new favorite shoes! They're lighter, pretty, fit wonderfully, and are very comfortable! I hope to count on this style for a long time to come.

This shoe is totally adorable and makes my big feet look small and cute. One problem: It felt almost a full size smaller than it should have. I usually wear an 8.5-9 but I could barely get my foot in this shoe in a 39. I'm returning it for a 40. I really hope it fits. I intend to wear it with jeans or brown dress pants. It's a very versatile style.

Since I have narrow feet, I was a little surprised that these shoes fit so well. No heavy socks required as with the professionals. Very comfortable and arch support is great.

I've had the Dansko Solstice in black for a year and a half. While this is in general a comfy shoe, I do have two minor caveats--well, one not so minor. Here it is: the heel tapers slightly as it moves away from the foot bed, which on more than one occasion has caused my foot to topple a bit, resulting in a minor turned ankle. In lesser matters, the finish on the buttons wore off long before the rest of the shoe wore out; now the top of one of the buttons has popped off. It bugs me that a little decoration won't last the life of the shoe.

Awesome! I work standing on my feet most of the day and these shoes have proved to be great for my back; no pain at the end of 10 hours, no pain the following day. And they look great as well! I highly recommend them.

I broke my ankle in three places last summer and had to have surgery with pins and plates. I cannot wear the Professional because of where the side of the shoe hit the inside of my ankle. This shoe is great because of the way the side dips down instead of going straight across. I love this shoe. I bought a black pair and, since then, I have desperately been trying to find in burgundy and chocolate brown. Just ordered the brown. Can't wait to get them. This is the only shoe I wear to the office. So comfortable and the support is great!

These are absolutely my new favorite shoes! The arch support is just fabulous. I wish all my shoes had such great support. I work at a retirement home and do a lot of walking around, so these make all the walking much easier. My feet are not tired at the end of the day. I wear size 9 shoes, but ordered a size 40 (I got my feet fitted for Dansko at a local shoe store before ordering!) I absolutely love these shoes! I am definitely thinking about getting them in brown, too!

These shoes are the most comfortable shoes you will find. I was post bunion/hammertoe surgery when I bought these shoes and found they gave me the comfort and support that I needed to get me through all day. I even bought another pair in brown!

I love these shoes! I work in healthcare and these shoes are comfortable to work in all day long. I no longer have tired feet, knees, and legs at the end of the day. I did order a larger size than ordinary for me. I wear a 9½ normally and had to get a size 41 in these but they fit perfectly with just the right amount of room for my feet to move around comfortably. They are great shoes that I would highly recommend!

I finally believe all the hype about Dansko shoes. I never thought I would pay so much for shoes, but after I injured my back, I needed good, comfortable shoes for work. I invested in these Dansko Solstice shoes and have not regretted it for an instant! Sizing ran a little small. Normally I wear an 8.5 to 9.0. With these, I had to go with a 40 (9.5 to 10.0 if memory serves). They fit perfectly.

Unlike another few reviews I did not find these shoes to run big. I wear and 11 and the 10.5-11 is too small.

Loved them but they were just a little bit small. I'll get the next larger size.

Excellent shoe, immediately comfortable, did not put pressure on the top of the foot the way some other clogs do. Is holding its shape well after much much wear. I am a clog expert - trust me, this is a good one.

I am a big fan of Dansko professionals. This shoe is not as wide as the professional, so it is not a good fit for people like me with bunions.
