Very cute shoe

These shoes are super comfortable. The styling of the toe box area looked a little matronly to me. I'm not sure if I will keep them.

O ordered a half size smaller after reading reviews and they fit perfectly. Very comfortable!

Love this style, but way too large, even after ordering half size down. Had to return.

Like another reviewer - why did I not believe the "runs large" reviews? I ordered my usual size 9 and they fit great out of the box, so I tossed them in my suitcase and flew halfway around the world. Except the next time I put them on, I could barely make it three steps without them slipping off. Such a shame. Now they sit in my closet, mocking me with their cuteness. I will be buying another pair once I find a new home for these.

Great shoes that are both comfortable and elegant. Even when I wear them all day at work and my feet are not tired at the end of the day. Ordered half size smaller as recommended (I usually wear size 8.5, but ordered size 8), and they fit perfectly.

Well... after reading all the reviews that said these ran large, I ordered 1/2 size smaller than usual. Didn't pan out for me. They were too small. I should have ordered my real size. Maybe this newest batch has been somehow adjusted? I guess I will try again. Thank goodness for free shipping and free returns!

I don't know who advised Zappos that this "runs large, so size down" but that is an untruth. I ordered the Vaneli that is identical to this. My usual 8.5 was fine in the length but the medium width was too narrow, given the style of shoe. This French Sole would have been terrific if I had just gone with my usual 8.5, but I sized down, as recommended to an 8. No. Luckily, I had also ordered the Vaneli in an 8.5 wide width and it fits nicely, so the French Sole isn't getting a second try. Stay with your usual size!

I wore for the first time and they started slipping off to the point of real discomfort. May i return for a half size smaller?

I ordered a half size down like many reviewers suggested and that did not work for me at all. The front was tight on my foot, and according to other reviewers it would not stretch because of the patent leather.

Felt wonderful out of the box. My only complaint is that the bow tie on the top of the shoe is nylon, not leather, and therefore comes undone. I may return

Read but didn't believe the reviews. This shoe is one size oversized so I returned it.

They did not look like high quality shoes. I returned them. Tassle is made of inexpensive, thin cord. Toes is squarish. I have bought and loved this brand before but these were disappointing for the price.

These were just ok. They were not as comfortable as I needed as they were a little stiff out of the box and I was expected to walk about 10-12 hours a day in them. They were also a little more matronly as I would have liked. They went back.

Just didn’t fit well for my narrow feet

Quality issue with the construction of the shoe. The patent toe was a little crooked, enough to bother me, especially for the price.

After reading reviews, I would have ordered a size 10.5 -- if they made 10.5 (what's up with that, anyway?). Ordered an 11, my usual size, and it's way too big. Too bad. It looked like a nice shoe.

Too slippery (flimsy) with no support to keep these beautiful shoes ON my feet. Darn, they are adorable. If I didn't need to walk anywhere, they would be perfect.

Luckily I listened to other reviewers and ordered a half size down (usually wear 6 1/2 so ordered 6) and it seemed to fit fine. I have the most sensitive feet in the world and any stitching, etc that isn't flush will rub my foot raw. Sadly as comfy as these seemed, I immediately noticed that they rubbed my feet around the top where the elastic trim met the leather. So they are going back but may be great for anyone with normal feet. They seemed pretty comfortable except for that and looked quite nice as well.

Since 2014, I have bought 10 pairs of this same shoe, The first 8 pairs were perfect, stylish and very comfortable. I would wear them to work every day until they were dead, then get another pair of the exact same shoe. As noted, they run a bit big, I usually wear an 8 in most shoes but in these the 7.5 was just right. The last 2 pairs, a black and a tan that I ordered in October 2021 were not the same shoe. They are so uncomfortable, I can't wear them. They must have changed something about the design. I miss the old Passport.

Very attractive shoe, but the fit was pretty bad. The length was right, but I walked right out of the heel and mid-section. I am usually a medium width with no issues, so the shoe is definitely designed for a wider foot.

The fit was fine if you go 1/2 size down. Comfort good too. The problem and the reason I returned them is that the design is poor because they make your feet look pigeon toed. The front of the shoe turns inward pretty dramatically.

I have two other pairs pf FS/NY and they're very comfortable and are good on narrow feet.

I double checked that both shoes were size 6.5 because the right shoe was visibly larger and didn't fit at all. The left shoe fit nicely. Cute shoes but the quality really came into question when they are not the same size. They seemed like they would be somewhat comfortable but there is no arch support.
