I really like these shoes and was very impressed with Zappos customer service as well! I recv\'d them very quickly and was thrilled. I ordered size: UK 7 (US Men\'s 8, Women\'s 9) - I pretty much always a Women\'s size 10 (very rarely a 9.5) and these shoes fit great... almost a little too big, but I thought with winter coming up I could put on a thicker sock. They are so comfortable and I was surprised after reading other reviews that I didn\'t need to \'break them in\' at all. I did wear them for a few hours one day to test them out before taking them on a trip to Boston where I knew I\'d be doing A LOT of walking around. Loved them! They feel very durable and well-made which impressed me. I think I\'ll have these boots for years to come and I love that. Worth the expense!

I really love these boots. Since I've purchased them I've only worn them a few times but have already broken them in. They look awesome on top of their excellent comfort and style. Thanks Zappos for all your great customer service!

I bought these because I was searching for a fashionable fall/winter boot that would fit my new wide post-pregnancy feet! I don't think of Doc Martens as feminine, and these aren't; however, they have a tailored and stylish look and the two-toned leather is very striking. They fit really well and though I know they will need to be broken in, they're pretty comfy to start (which was not the experience I had with Frye boots, the other brand I tried). These would be cute with a skirt, and will work well under jeans/pants. Highly recommend. I bought two sizes smaller, eg; for a women's 10, buy a men's 8. I have big and wide feet, and doing the sizing that way worked out perfectly!

I love my new boots! They look great and I love the style. The toe cap and heel are polished and solid, yet the upper boot is very soft leather and very comfortable. I was able to wear them the first day with no discomfort which amazed me. They are men’s boots so you ladies with narrow feet may find them too wide... for me they are perfect. Wonderful service from Zappos... I am already planning a collection of great boots.

This was exactly what I was looking for. One of the most comfortable boots I own. And I didn't have to endure the painful "breaking in" stage. It still has the original Dr. Martens look to them, but with a bit more detailed, updated look. Love them!

Very comfortable boot! The look is, I would say, in between old fashioned and modern traditional. It works perfectly for me as business casual. Also, I think the insole is non-removable. Here are some pros and cons. Pros: Very short break in time (only a few hours); comfortable; easy take on and off; can wear with jeans and with business casual; easy maintenance; good ankle support. Cons: "Good" but not the best ankle support (I think 1490 is better); moderate arch support.

Overall, I am completely satisfied with this purchase! Great quality, great fit, comfortable and takes on a nice shine!

As always Zappos does the best business around. The boots were comfortable and being Dr Martens I'm sure they will outlast most other boots/shoes available. This boot is rugged but stylish enough to wear when dressed up. Thank you Zappos!

I ordered these boots for my boyfriend to use when he rides his motorcycle. We couldn't believe how fast they arrived, within 15 hours of ordering. He loves these boots so much that he wears them at any opportunity, no motorcycle riding necessary. He had never owned Docs before and is very impressed with their comfort and appearance.

I have been looking on the Zappos site for awhile looking for the boot that had what I refer to as the look. The way boots are supposed to look. That classic/vintage boot look. On top of the way they look, they are also extremely comfortable! If you like what you see, than go ahead and buy them already. As always, Zappos service could not have been better. This where I buy all my shoes and have for a couple years now.

Even though the woman's sizing is translated these boots are definitely made for a man's foot. They are too big, even at the smaller end of the woman's sizes. I'm returning for a woman's boot.

These are excellent boots, a bit stiff at first, but after some mink oil, you will be thrilled. I did notice a threading issue on the bottom of the shoe (machine missed one thread in the heel), but it was not enough to merit returning them to Zappos. I fixed this with some Gorilla Glue and the shoes have been fine for weeks. I plan on wearing them for years.

Boots are good, the only negative is that the toe and heel area are polished instead of matte like the rest of the boot. This was not obvious from the pictures, and to be honest looks a little weird. They dull out quickly enough, though.

Good looking and good feeling boot. I ended up sending it back because it had more of a "work boot" look than I was expecting. Would have been a good one to keep though as the construction seemed durable and hey, they're, Docs, so they should last forever.

I wanted cute boots for winter that didn't have a heal and weren't hiking boots and they were harder to find then I thought. These are very cute with a nice broken-in, vintage look. I ordinarily wear a womens 11, but based on the reviews I ordered a 9 and they fit great. The only thing is they are sort of tight across the top of the toes, but being leather that will stretch out. Overall, very cute and comfy!

So far so good. After a couple of days of wear, they were completely broken in. Great look and feel.

I love the look of these, and they were very comfortable, but the smallest size available, supposed to be men's 7 is equal to a women's 8, was just too big for my wide size 8 feet. I wish they made some like them, cut for women's feet.

It took a little longer than I expected to receive my shoes, but once I did, I put them on and haven\'t taken them off. After about three weeks of wearing them every day some of the threading on the in-sleeve is starting to come undone and I\'ve worn holes in the backs of my heals, but not in the shoes. other than breaking them in my feet haven\'t hurt. I recommend thick socks and a beard for these shoes and perhaps a hat.

I loved the look of this boot, but unfortunately I just could get a pair that fit. I believe this was because the boot is wider and slightly larger than most Dr. Martens products for the size. Sadly, you cannot just lace them tighter as the space between the eye holes is narrower than other Dr. Martens I have owned. A great looking boot but unless your foot tends to run on the wide side, they probably will not be the boot for you. After trying a couple sizes, I had to simply return them. Zappos customer service was top notch and made the exchanges and return very easy.

This is the second pair of Docs that I have had to return in the last 60 days due to a ton of quality issues. I am surprised because Doc Marten is supposed to have a reputation for quality. These boots had a heel loop come unstitched, a tongue loop came unstitched and a heel came unglued. The first pair had a heel loop come unstitched.

This is a great boot. Took a couple days to break in, but after that it is definitely one of the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. And, even though this is not my main concern, it does look absolutely smashing with a pair of jeans or khakis! I would highly recommend this boot to a friend!

I bought these boots for my boyfriend almost 5 years ago and they are still going strong. They took a few wears to get them broken in but now they are formed to his feet. He LOVES them. They are the perfect shoe to wear with his jeans. Before he had these, Nikes and jeans were his only option. He wears them weekly and has never had a problem with the sole coming apart.

I LOVE THESE BOOTS. Super cool-looking IRL and extremely comfortable. Great support and you can style them a few different ways depending on how you lace them! I'm really very into these boots.

I love these boots. I have worn them every day for five years and just checked this site to make sure that the same style is still being made. I will order another pair soon. The first pair is still going strong, but I need a newer second pair for when I need to be business-presentable. I will continue to wear my first pair until they disintegrate, although I think that I will disintegrate before the boots do.

This is my first pair of Doc's. Though they were kind of pricey for my budget, everyone tells me they are a good investment. These boots were very comfortable the first time I put them on. They had little stiffness and were easy to break in. I normally wear a size 11.5 in shoes, sometimes 12. I ordered the UK10/USA11 size and they fit perfect with a tiny bit of toe room which is good for me. I have chicken legs and narrow feet so I was worried they wouldn't fit, but they fit great! These boots are snazzy, but I'm a rugged character so these boots are getting tested every day. There's no way I'm wearing boots just for style because I don't believe that's the way boots were intended to be worn. They are for the workin' man or lady. No heel problems yet like other reviews, but I'll write back if there ever is a problem. Chances are I will shoe-goo them and be on my way. Of course, I can always send them back to Zappos if need be, and that's exactly why I spent a little extra on these from Zappos. Good Day.
