These are awesome boots. I have been wearing the Aztecs for years but I needed a change. I am not a big fan of the thick Dr. Martin sole, and these do not have them. I like them so much, that I ordered the brown as well, and I wear one or the other almost everyday. As usual Zappos provided top notch service!

This boot is super comfortable! Looks great and feels more comfortable than any other pair of Dr Martens or Harley Davidson boots I own. They'll be easier to polish also since they don't have the yellow stitching by the sole. Worth the money! I usually wear a 9 1/2 and the US 10 fit perfectly.

These are absolutely amazing! They fit perfectly out of the box! They are really good looking boots, even for women. I have huge feet and was excited to find something "Unisex-but-not-too-manly" to wear this winter. They are super comfortable, and I am excited for them to really break in. I think I will have these as everyday favorites for years to come.

The previous reviews were correct...they do run a size large. I usually wear a woman's 9... but the 8 was perfect. These boots are gonna last a life time. I have a brown pair similar to this that I've had for 15 years. I've replaced the inner sole and that's it. They are so well made. And can you imagine shopping for shoes anywhere other than Zappos? Seriously? Zappos makes it way too easy!

Love these boots! As others have said- 'why can't you make these in womens'. But, still, knowing my size in Mens is 7.5 - I went with the Mens 8 (since Docs doesn't do 1/2 sizes). They fit excellent. Very well made. Finally a Dr Marten arch that is less than flat. These soles are very sturdy and the style is so 'cute'! (Sorry guys.) But, they also would look very 'cool' on guys. I see Eddie Bauer and Born selling womens Fall boots for much more and I am so glad I found these. I am tall and have '49' year old ex-athlete knees - and these boots keep me comfortable all day.

I've been wearing these sharp boots all day, and I'm pretty pleased with them. Lace them up tight for that combat feeling, or just wrap and tie for a more casual boot. The sole is a bit stiffer than a standard Dr. Marten's boot, so you won't quite have that same ground feeling sensation that I love in Dr. Marten boots. The heel cup / fold does irritate the back of my Achilles tendon area, but I expect the comfort level to increase as I break them in. Overall, I'm very pleased.

I knew I was taking a chance on the size, and I was right. I wear a women's 8, and this boot was too large. Why can't they make something in this style for a woman? This boot is too beautiful and stylish for a man, Sorry guys! It was indeed beautiful! Of course because it is a man's boot, it is especially wide across the widest part of the foot. The leather was very soft but durable and comfortable. Even though I had to send it back, it deserves a 5 rating! I want to put in a custom order. I have an old pair of Dr. Martins women's work boots (similar to these but in tan) before they started making them all bulky. I have been wearing them for 20 years, and I still love them! The insides are getting too broken in, and I wanted something to replace them but there just isn't anything. I am a designer/artist myself, and I'm telling you that if they took these boots and made them to fit women they would sell like crazy!

Have had these boots for about six months now and they are the most comfortable boots I have worn. I am a barber and stand on my feet all day and these are my everyday foot wear. They have held up beautifully and still look great. A little polish every once in awhile and a good shine and they look like new again. Great product, will order them again when these wear out, but that doesn't look like that will be anytime soon.

I've had this pair of Doc Martens for a month and I absolutely love them. I initially ordered my normal size but had to return because they do run big. I ordered a full size smaller. Aside from that, I have found them to be easy to break in and are stylish and comfortable.

Very good quality leather. These are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. I have no doubts these boots will last the rest of my life.

Absolutely love the look and feel of these boots. They run a little big. I usually wear a size US 12, but US 11 fits perfect! As with all Doc's, these boots will last forever. Zappos, by far, the best from top to bottom! Ordered boots after 5p.m.EST and got them the next day! Doesn't get any better than that.

Wow! I'm not familiar with online ordering at all, so with that said, I can't believe how fast this came to my house, within 24 hours it was at my door. The correct item, color and size, perfect. Zappos brought online ordering for me to another level of shopping. Zappos, you have another loyal customer. I will spread the word about you and how your system works.

These are easily the most comfortable pair of boots ever and I wear boots every day. I am female and got the comment that they look a bit mannish but then, they are man's boots. I don't care so much about that as I do having a comfy pair of boots on my feet.

I absolutely love these boots. They are super comfortable and stylish at the same time. The color of the boot is a nice hue of brown. It's treated in the areas where wear and tear is to be expected. Did I mention I love these boots?

I love, love, love these boots! It's always a trial finding boots that work for me as so many designs rely on the wearer having very little calf definition. Because these boots have two different lace up styles, however, this isn't an issue! I can wear the shoe a bit tight around the foot and then with more give around the calf. Brilliant!

I really like these shoes and was very impressed with Zappos customer service as well! I recv\'d them very quickly and was thrilled. I ordered size: UK 7 (US Men\'s 8, Women\'s 9) - I pretty much always a Women\'s size 10 (very rarely a 9.5) and these shoes fit great... almost a little too big, but I thought with winter coming up I could put on a thicker sock. They are so comfortable and I was surprised after reading other reviews that I didn\'t need to \'break them in\' at all. I did wear them for a few hours one day to test them out before taking them on a trip to Boston where I knew I\'d be doing A LOT of walking around. Loved them! They feel very durable and well-made which impressed me. I think I\'ll have these boots for years to come and I love that. Worth the expense!

I bought these because I was searching for a fashionable fall/winter boot that would fit my new wide post-pregnancy feet! I don't think of Doc Martens as feminine, and these aren't; however, they have a tailored and stylish look and the two-toned leather is very striking. They fit really well and though I know they will need to be broken in, they're pretty comfy to start (which was not the experience I had with Frye boots, the other brand I tried). These would be cute with a skirt, and will work well under jeans/pants. Highly recommend. I bought two sizes smaller, eg; for a women's 10, buy a men's 8. I have big and wide feet, and doing the sizing that way worked out perfectly!

I love my new boots! They look great and I love the style. The toe cap and heel are polished and solid, yet the upper boot is very soft leather and very comfortable. I was able to wear them the first day with no discomfort which amazed me. They are men’s boots so you ladies with narrow feet may find them too wide... for me they are perfect. Wonderful service from Zappos... I am already planning a collection of great boots.

This was exactly what I was looking for. One of the most comfortable boots I own. And I didn't have to endure the painful "breaking in" stage. It still has the original Dr. Martens look to them, but with a bit more detailed, updated look. Love them!
