I like the general look and style of this shoe. It feels very supportive and comfortable once you get used to the special way to walk in these shape ups. My biggest complaint is that the hook-and-loop straps are very weak and do not hold up well to brisk movement. I find myself re-strapping the shoes at least 3-8 times a day making it very inconvenient on a daily basis. I did try the tennis shoe version and I loved that. Unfortunately I had to go with this mary jane style because I cannot wear tennis shoes to work and I wanted to be able to wear my shape ups every day. Overall a decent shoe if you don't mind always re-applying the straps. My advice is to go with the tennis shoe style, if possible.

I bought these shoes because I liked the comfort of the sketchers sleek fit, and wanted something that looked less like an athletic shoe. Unfortunately, these shoes were nowhere near as comfortable as the sleek fit style. The shoes dug painfully into the side of my foot, and the shoes didn't have the same nice rolling motion. I returned them and tried the MBT Kaya instead. What a difference! If you're going to spend the money, pay a little more and go with the MBT.

They are very comfortable. My issue (and the reason I'm giving it only 3 stars overall) is with the narrow strap that zigzags across my foot. It constantly comes undone while I'm walking. If I move my foot too much, like if I'm stepping on or off something high, or bending my foot more than normal, it comes unstrapped. Even if I'm careful about lining up the velcro perfectly (and who can always do that if you're trying to quickly fasten an undone shoe?), it will still unfasten. I love the fit of the shoe and would definitely buy another pair in a different style someday. However, I will never buy any pair of shoes again that has this type of strap and velcro closure.

I was excited to get these shoes for work. I am a busy hairdresser and stand 8 to 10 hours a day. I was very disappointed when the right corner of the shoes, around my toes, were hurting after about an hour. It hurt so much I had to take them off. So I tried again next day. Same thing. I gave it to my mother to try. Same thing. The leather is hard and I don't think it will stretch.

They were great when I first received them, but the heel fell apart after four months and I had to throw them out. Never again!

I had to return these because the velcro strap often came undone, perhaps because the straps are thin and wrap over the foot. My other pair of Shape Ups sneakers are fantastic. I highly recommend Shape Ups, but not this particular style. And I\'d recommend ordering a 1\/2 size up for Shape Ups.

I have MBT\'s and I thought that this shoe would be like the MBT\'s in quality. This shoe is of poor quality. I didn\'t like this shoe at all. My foot came out of the back when I walked and my feet rolled inwards. I wouldn\'t recommend this shoe to anyone.

I don\'t mind the sole, but these shoes give me blisters on the back of my heel after about an hour of wear. It\'s been a long time since a shoe has given me blisters! I tried wearing band aids, but they rubbed off due to the friction of the heel.

Not what I expected - The comfort of these seemed fine. I am basing my opinion on the padded arches inside that cushion the foot and make it feel supported and secure when the feet are in the shoes, however: the foot slides inward when walking because the criss-cross velcro strap is not secure enough to hold the foot in properly. Also, even though they are velcro, it seems impossible to make them tighter and the foot still wobbles from side to side. Visually they are hideous; not quite Mary Jane style not quite sneakers, all 'Bride of Frankenstein'. I returned these and ordered the regular 'sneaker' looking Shape Ups in the hopes that since they lace up they will provide the support these shoes lack.
