I would have never imagined writing a review about pants before owning a pair of the Kuhl Rydr pants, but I cannot praise these enough. I'm an odd size (28 waist by 30 inseam) with a muscular lower-body and a derriere that I typically cannot fit into most 30W pants, let alone 28W. If the Kuhl Rydr were to come in a 28 waist, perhaps I would have tried those first. However, since I'm limited to the 30 waist, that is the pair I tried on. They fit perfectly but, to my surprise, they are also beautifully form-fitting (not too baggy at all!) and allow plenty of room for flexibility and comfort. I have found that the Kuhl Rydr pants can both function as nice office work pants or as durable armor when doing physical labor outside. I now own two with a third on the way. I would highly recommend that you at least seek them out for a fitting at your most convenient outdoor store.

The fit, quality and fabric are fabulous...all my Levis are now in the closet. I bought every color...and wear nothing else now. My girl friend is crazy for these on me.

Kuhl makes great pants. These are no exception. They are very comfortable and the articulated knees and durable construction make them very functional, too. They are made of a heavyweight jean material. My only semblance of a complaint about these pants are that they have worn a bit unevenly, but I suspect that after about a month or two's worth of wear they should even out a lot (much like another pair of Kuhls that I purchased in the past. If you are familiar with some of their other styles then you should know that this model pant has a slimmer, more tapered fit than most of the other Kuhl models. Although the fit is slimmer, they remain true to size as with other Kuhl models.

My husband says these are the most comfortable pants he has ever worn. My only complaint is the too visible Kuhl brand name on the back pocket. Was this really necessary?

I love the Kuhl Rydrs. I saw them at a retail store but they didn't have my size. I found them on Zappos and had them on in less than a week. They were true to size for me and are super comfortable. The more you wash them the better they look.

I ordered the khaki colored pants but when they arrived, they were actually more of a green olive tint. They also fit a bit smaller than their listed size. The waist button also kept popping open, even with a belt on, which was very annoying. The pants did fee very durable and should stand up to some abuse.

I love the Rydr pants! The fit is perfect. They are lighter then jeans, but they feel strong and tough. They give you great freedom of movement with the articulated knees. I recommend them if you ride a motorcycle. They are just right for summer riding, wintertime you will feel the air more then you will with jeans, but not too bad. These are great pants.

I bought these pants for my husband, he loves them. He is a Kuhl guy though, most of his pants are this brand. They fit well and the service from Zappos was great. The only thing I can say is that the graphite does fade quickly.

Kuhl Rydrs are the best pants I have found for casual/ everyday wear. The fit is great and they are incredibly well made! They fit loose but don't look sloppy, and have an athletic look. I am sold on them!

I really want to love these pants and they are comfy, have cool reverse stitching, and they seem pretty durable. However, the sizing is a bit screwy. The 32" inseam seems much longer than any other pants I have, but the 30" was too high-water. The fabric faded pretty severely after one washing, but I do like that look, so no real problems there. I've had great luck with Kuhl Shorts and tops, but the lengths on the pants are hard to figure. I had similar problems with the Kuhl Jean (too long/too short) so I had to return them. Yay Zappos return policy. One more thing: the fabric is pretty heavy and makes a 'zipping' sound when you walk. I imagine these will soften up after many more washes. I hope so. One last thing, I suggest everyone look at the close ups of the rear, because I think the branding is just a bit obnoxious, because of it's size.

Nice pants. Great alternative to blue jeans. I just got this pair so I'm not sure how well they will hold up but other 'Craig' series pants I own have worn in beautifully.

As another reviewer stated "I like these pants" and I have a 31" waist and sized up to 32" and that worked out perfect for me also. I am 32 x 32 and the length was perfect. I have not washed them yet, so cannot comment on the fading comments other mention. I wore them on a recent ski trip and they were very comfortable during the flight and my wife likes their look (I had the graphite) - they are easily wearable for casual nights outs, etc. Due to the extreme comfort, I even choose these over my old favorite Spotter pants for my casual office environment. I'll be ordering some other colors to try out and may even order another graphite pair. I'd give them 5 stars if the cold wind did not pass through them more than any other pair of pants I own and maybe deeper pockets. Pros: sturdy and well-built, suited for both outdoor activities and casual affairs like the belt snap. Neutral: They are baggy, but they are supposed to be for climbing. Cons: do not block the cold even as well as blue jeans the fabric does make "noise" walking, but nothing that's too distracting, just not like blue jeans; front pockets aren't as deep as I'd like

These are rad pants in many respects. They fit great, have pockets in convenient locations, and are super comfortable. Two major drawbacks, though: (1) The length is WAY too long. I usually wear a 31 length. I bought the 30. It's at least two inches too long. (2) After ONE wash, they began to seriously FADE--and only in places, so they basically look stonewashed. It doesn't look bad, but I was hoping to use these as my "khakis" for work, which I can't really do now.

Super comfy! Rugged! Full gusset allows awesome flexibility! They are 3 season pants. Too thick for summer heat, but great in the cold.

I like these pants. They are sturdy and well-built, and are suited for outdoor activities and casual affairs. But, there are some things to know: 1) They are baggy. Too baggy, I think. I know this is for range of motion for activity, but they don't need so much extra fabric throughout the entire length. 2) They are thick material. They almost "bend" rather than fold. They look bulkier because of this.Other than that, they are nice. They fit perfectly in the waist and groin area, and I like the styling. If you are between sizes, size up. 32 fits me, and I usually wear 31's in most other brands. Also, they do shrink a bit after each wash the first few times. This is fine for me, since they are plenty roomy.

I'm rather disappointed with these pants. While Kuhl makes a big fuss over being born in the mountains of Utah, these pants are made in China. The fabric is way to stiff. The cell phone pocket is too far back and ends up being under my leg when I sit down. The pants lost an inch in length after three washes. The Kuhl name just covers these pants, on all buttons, other fasteners, the front and back pockets. They should pay me as a walking billboard. I would not buy these pants again knowing what I know now.
