These are very comfortable and fit true to size. We\'ll see how they fare through a MN winter. I was torn between these and Uggs, and I think that for a tall girl with big feet, these make me look slightly less frumpy than the Uggs would have.

Very comfortable and is great with skinny jeans. However, is not as warm as I wanted for the ice and snow we get in Virginia.

As usual Zappos' service and shipping was amazing! These boots are really cute. They are almost too cute to think about wearing in the snow, but being North Face I have high hopes. They seem to run a tad big, but with heavy socks they are perfect. I wear a 7.5, and I won't return them for a smaller size, but will definitely need to wear heavy socks. Comfortable and easy on/off.

Love these boots. Just moved to Wyoming, lots of snow so I needed a good warm boot. The most comfortable shoes I've worn! I can wear them with the wool upper raised up or just down, tuck my jeans/leggings in or let my jeans hang normal over them. They look great any way you wear them. I have received lots of compliments on them as well. Great buy! Looking to wear these for years to come.

Zappos - you amaze me even more, which I thought was impossible! Ordered these boots Thursday evening and was told that they didn't make it for Friday shipping, but should arrive Monday. However, we just had a huge snowstorm here so there may be delays - totally understandable. The boots arrived Friday - the very next day! Zappos just can't be beat. As for the boot - I am usually a 6 1/2, and ordered a 7 because they were out of 6 1/2. I'm conflicted - they feel pretty good, but my heel slips, yet I wonder if the 6 1/2 would be a bit too snug/narrow. These seem to run a little narrow. I love the cushioning and firmer support of these boots. Laces, for me, are for decoration as I can easily pull the boots on and off with the zipper. The "sweater" part of the boot is ribbed and very roomy/stretchy, even for larger calves. Not sure how they'll hold up with regular wear, and it looks a bit scruffier - less sleek than I'd hoped - may look more like socks than part of the boot. Will have to try with black leggings. But these seem to be a good mix of practical winter boots with some style, that I could wear all day at work.

These shoes are super comfortable, and fit my slightly larger runner's calves. Very warm. Due to the size of said calves though, I would not wear these over jeans--they are a bit bulky. They felt a bit larger than 8.5, but I wouldn't order another size.

I love these boots and super versatile, and can be worn up or down. They look best with leggings or skinny jeans. The zipper is only on the ankle, which limits how fast you can get them on or off. But overall I am happy and get lots of compliments. They are warm, comfortable and do well in slush/snow. More fashionable than functional but I really like them.

I bought these for a trip to North Dakota in December. I was not outside extensively, but during the time that I was, my feet were completely warm at all times. I still had to be careful walking on icy roads, but the shoes definitely helped provide traction. I bought the size I usually wear (11) and even with thick socks on, the shoes fit nicely.

Based on reading reviews, I ordered the next size larger. Wow, was this a bad idea. The boots must actually run true to size, however Zappos does not have the size that I need. I think that I would really like them in the correct size, but unfortunately I have to return them.

Like the warmth and look of this boot. Not an easy-on-easy-off boot, though. The laces make this boot a commitment. Also a little snow leaking in the front if you don't get it laced up properly.

Great boot. I am walking around my house with two different boots on and definitely think this boot is quite comfortable and well worth keeping. I have a wide foot and it feels fine. The plus is that it is water resistant/proof, but I haven't had any snow or rain to test it yet. The Timberland is a nice alternative for looks, but the description doesn't give it any water resistant properties like this boot.

These boots are way too big. I have a small wide foot so after reading reviews I ordered my usual (6) and they feel a full size larger! I also thought the stretch knit was really loose and I do not have a skinny calf either. Thanks to Zappos for the quick shipping though, and easy return process.

These boots look great, but after a few wears the knit part at the top gets pilly and worn out looking. I would not recommend buying these boots for this price given that they look like an old pair of boots you've had for years after a few wears. Maybe the brown pair holds up better, but the black knit looks crummy when worn out.

At first, I absolutely loved these boots. They're warm, very comfortable, and stylish. However, I've barely had them six months, and the heel inside the shoe has completely worn out, and the plastic beneath the wool is splintering, making the left boot extremely uncomfortable. I'm disappointed, because I love my other North Face boots! These just aren't as durable as they should be for the cost.
