Love these! Super cute, easy to wear with jeans or leggings, and warm too. A friend asked me how I managed to pack so many boots on a recent trip, and I told him it was just that these boots could be worn up or down. They look great either way, and are very comfortable.

I love these boots! Okay ladies, I was on the hunt for a sleek and stylish boot that would be comfortable in the snow and cold weather. I have a large calf, size 16, so the knit top of this boot and the half zipper work perfectly on my larger calves. I ordered these yesterday, they arrived today, and I put them on and I have been walking all around the house in them. They are so warm! I usually wear a 9 and the 9 fits perfect with a thin sock. I feel like these could be worn with cute skinny jeans or a skirt. They are truly versatile and funky unique. Before I wear them out though I want to spray theme down with a suede protector before I wear them outside. They are too cute to not get that extra shot of protection! I hope these boots last awhile. They are so adorable.

Love these boots. Have worn them every day since I got them. Reviewers suggested that buyers should consider a smaller size and I did find that to be true. The are great at work since they look like shoes under your pant legs and they give you decent support. They are real cute with jeans - under and over - and with leggings and a tunic. It has been very cold here in NY and I live on the beach, so the ribbed sock has kept me extra warm when worn pulled up. The boots are warm, but not so much so that your feet are sweating if you wear them indoors. Obviously I am well pleased with this boot and am even considering the brown version. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Love these boots! They are cute, comfortable and functional! The traction is great and they are warm. So glad I got them (especially at the price I found them for!).

Wow, I had high hopes for this boot based on other reviews, and it did not disappoint! Very comfortable and so stylish. I like that it provides more structured foot support than my Ugg classics. I am entirely happy with the boot so far. I will, however, be curious to see how the sweater fabric holds up over time - I have seen at least one report of it 'pilling'. Definitely give this boot a try!

These are the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever worn. I have really bad plantar fascia and even the most comfortable shoes for other people hurt my feet. I have zero pain in these it's amazing. The warmth is good and they are easy to get on and off. No need to use the back laces, they're just decoration to me. The fabric at the top does start to look bad soon but unless you have your pants tucked in which I never do it won't matter. Highly recommend.

Happy to find these well made functional North Face boots just in time for lots of snow here! They keep my feet warm without making them overly hot when I'm indoors. The styling is very fashionable and because of the fabric upper, you can even stuff wider-legged pants into the boot. I have a wide calf and these are so comfortable! Love them!

Received these for Christmas and so far I have been very pleased. I live in Chicago and don't have a car, so walking is a must for me. These boots are super warm and comfy. I normally wear an 8 1/2 but I purchased them in 9. The traction is great! I haven't slipped. The laces are a bit long in the back so I double knotted them. They are kind of awkward to take off especially coming in the house after walking in the snow. I sprayed salt and snow suede protectant on them that I purchased from Aldo for added protection. Sleek and not too bulky!

Super comfortable, cute w/ the knit cuff up or rolled down. Fairly warm, although haven't tested them in the cold for long periods. Great with leggings.

I wanted a cute, yet functional pair of black winter boots to wear with skirts, dresses, etc to work in the morning. This is it! They're super comfortable, not too heavy, and nice and warm. I wait for the bus in the morning with no cold toes. I wear a size 9 and they still look cute. I would totally recommend these to anyone.

LOVE! These boots are super comfortable, straight out of the box! One of the few pairs of shoes/boots I have that I don't have to use an insole or arch support. Cute enough to wear over jeans or with a skirt, and the option of wearing the cuff up or down is nice.

I love these boots. They are very warm (I walked about one mile in them in -20F weather with very thin cotton socks). They are also quite comfortable. I feel like I am wearing slippers. Great boots.

I ordered the black and they are super comfortable and super cute. Collar can be worn up or folded down. Fit was a bit larger than I expected, but I added an Ugg shearling foot liner, and it fits just right and with some extra warmth! I have worn these on 2+ mile walks with our dogs and they are very comfortable. I wore them walking in the snow today, and my feet stayed warm and dry. May order the brown ones now too! Overall a great boot. Bravo to Zappos for getting them here in 1 day! I will only buy my shoes from Zappos from now on!

These boots are great! I went in search of some boots at the mall looking for some post holiday sales and could not find anything left. I came home got on Zappos and found these and they were at my house in less than 24 hours! They are so comfortable, warm and they look great with leggings or under boot cut pants. I love the back lace and how you can have the top turned up or down you can adjust the lace, but I did not have to the zipper side works great. I have athletic built legs but small feet, size 6, so boots are always hard to find - these are perfect because of the fabric on top. I was a dancer for 18 years so I like a lot of arch support and these sure have it. I did order a 6 1/2 and it leaves enough room for a thicker sock if needed. I find myself getting excited about cold and snow now! Love Zappos and North Face.

Excellent boot; warm, fits perfectly. However, it is a little hard to get into for me with the back laces. I probably would not get back laced boots again, but the boot is wonderful.

As an happy owner of the Women's Alana brown boots, I figured I would turn to North Face for a pair of similar black boots. I am very glad I did. I wear these boots pretty much every day! They took no time to break in, are extremely comfortable, and are very stylish to boot. I wear them in all types of weather. They are very warm, too! I would say that they felt a little smaller than marked. I usually wear a size 9, but I have to wear a 10 in these and the Alanas.

I have owned these for a year now...extremely comfortable and warm. Not too casual, not too dressy. A perfect everyday winter boot.

Love this boot! Super comfortable and very cute. They are warm and waterproof! Easy to get on and off. Looks good under pants or with my skinny jeans tucked in. After I recieved this boot three more of my friends ordered them.

I really am happy with these boots - very functional with lots of style. I like that you can wear them under jeans or wear them high with skirts or tighter fitting pants. The only thing I'm a little worried about is whether the sock part will stretch out, but they are made nicely.

I have not had a chance to wear these boots yet, but have tried them on and walked around my house so I know they do fit true to size and they are very nice looking with a great rich chocolate color. I look forward to trying them out in the snow this winter.

I love these boots; however, I am returning for the 2nd time because they are still too big! I usually wear 7 1/2-8. I ordered the 8 because, being a winter boot, I thought I would be wearing thick socks. I was swimming in the 8 and even with thick socks the 7 1/2 were too big. Hopefully, the third time's the charm and the 7 will fit!

I just received these boots, and when I put them on I couldn't believe the fit. Usually I have a hard time with lace-less shoes because of my narrow feet, but these fit like a dream. They have good cushion and look really cute on. I couldn't be more pleased!

Love these boots! A must have for cold winter days. Zappos service is the best. I got this pair in exchange for another one I previously ordered. The exchange was hassle free and this pair was delivered the next day! (And I haven't even returned the other pair yet!) Excellent customer service as always.

I bought the tall version of this boot last winter and was 100% satisfied with it. But I wanted a short boot to wear in the fall and spring, or days when I was too lazy to wrestle into a knee-high boot. Based on my experience with the last boot (and after trying out almost every other top brand of winter boot) I only considered the North Face line. The fit of this boot is incredible -- it's soft as a slipper, but has structure and support and really good traction. My feet never feel too hot or too cold in it. The knit detailing and back tie are very cute, and the side zip allows for easy on-and-off, which is important to me because I am lazy. The only problem with this boot is that the knit part is thick. And the North Face tag is on the knit part, so it doesn't show unless you're wearing the boot over pants. Unlike the knee version, the lacing is down the back instead of along the toe, so when worn under pants this boot just looks like a black suede shoe with no fancy details.
