These shoes are like wearing supportive clouds all day long. They never stop being comfortable. I was a Dankso fanatic, but I actually think the look of these Borns is more streamlined and attractive than the Dansko clogs. I highly recommend these to anyone who wants a chic and utterly comfy clog. I might even order another pair in brown. As usual Zappos was amazing and upgraded my shipping so that I received these the very next day.

Run a bit wide, but are still comfortable enough to wear if you are not doing a lot of walking. I have a pair in black as well...same size, same width...yet a better fit. Might be just a fluke that the pair I received were too wide and I needed a pair in brown so I did not bother to return them.

I bought these shoes to wear on a 3-week work trip to Europe. I wanted something a little nicer looking than my other clogs, and thought these would fit the need. Positives: for the most part, these are incredibly comfortable shoes. I was on my feet a good part of the day; one day, I walked a total of five miles in them with absolutely no aches or pains to the bottom of my feet. They are a good height: enough to keep my pant cuffs off the ground, but not high enough to risk tripping. I was also on some cobblestone streets, and had no instances of catching the heels on the stones. The shoes also required no break-in period. That might be a first for me. Negatives: the shoes are very tight across the top of the foot. As in painfully tight. I'm often having to tug at my socks to give my feet a break from the pressure. I've tried sport socks to stretch them out a bit, with no luck. 2.5 weeks in, and they still hurt whether I'm wearing trouser socks or sport socks. The appearance also degrades rather quickly. The tops of the shoes have very marked creases in them. Maybe because they are so tight? It's a shame, because the foot bed feels so nice and walking is so easy that I would gladly buy more in different colors. Just can't stand the pain on the top of the foot and the disappointment by the creased leather.

I am a teacher and have long been searching for shoes that will not result in aching feet after 6-8 hours of almost non-stop standing on cement floors. I purchased these after reading many of the reviews. Unfortunately these shoes are very tight across the in-step. At first this feels like a comfortably snug fit, but after a couple of hours of wear, the sides of my foot closest to my toes began to ache. I do not have unusually wide feet, so I had hoped that the leather would stretch and the vamp would become more comfortable. This did in fact happen, but the shoes still eventually hurt across the top after I've worn them for a full day. I really wanted to like these shoes too, and had hoped to get a second pair, but I cannot justify it at this point. My colleague also bought a pair without knowing I had. Her feet are smaller and narrower than mine, but she also admits dull aching across the instep after hours of wear. It's unfortunate because the shoes are stylish and every other part of them feels great. Believe it or not I still wear them as they are more comfortable than most of the other shoes I own save my sneakers. Now they don't start to hurt until the very end of the day. I would to buy another pair though, due to the vamp issue.

Great shoes, however...the sole is made out of that hard molded plastic. If you walk on wet sidewalks (which we do with some regularity here in Seattle!), you're probably going to go for a slide. I have a pair of Dansko XPs that have a rubbery sole, which provides better footing.

Well built, comfortable, casual shoe. Roomy width (almost too roomy for me). Heel is nice comfortable height. Sole is a bit slippery because it's a plastic rather than rubber - that's the only thing I'd change.

I'm a fan of these shoes. They are comfortable and soft leather. The soles are firm and have a nice rock to them while walking and are supportive. My only concern is that the leather might be too soft and will take some wear prematurely.

These are great walking shoes, in fact I use them mostly for walking the dog, and other day activities walking in Chicago. I recently noticed that the bottom of shoe on the heel has worn through so water leaked in to my foot. I have had them about 2 years, and I don't wear them all the time, frankly I am a little surprised. I would buy them again but I would expect them not to last very long when it comes to the sole of the shoes.

I wear a 10.5 wide, I ordered 11 m (they didn't have my size) and the shoe was too narrow and too long and not enough arch support. Will be returning, too bad for me.

These shoes are very comfortable. They feel like slippers. I usually wear 8 1/2 but they slipped off the back of my foot, even with socks on so I exchanged them for an 8 and they fit perfectly.

I have never owned a pair of Dansko's and wanted shoes similar but not the traditional clog like a clog and I found that these shoes were the perfect fit! My feet are a little wide so I was worried my feet would sit comfortably but the shoe conforms and my feet are not squished.

These were cuter than I expected, but I have to return them. They were very form fitting on my slightly wide feet with bunions. They were not uncomfortably narrow, though, and would have probably stretched for the bunion, but because of the shape of the shoe, the bunion bulge was very prominent and I don't find that attractive.

I have a very hard time finding comfortable shoes to fit my feet. My left foot is an 11 and my right a 10 1/2 so I usually have to go up a size. But the 11's were so big there was no way I could keep them on my feet. Unfortunately, they do not make a 10 1/2 in this shoe which I think would have been the right size. I tried the 10. It fits my right foot perfectly. The left is a bit snug but I think it will stretch with a bit of wear. The heel does slip a bit but I think that is the nature of the style. Additionally, I like the wide toe box, the comfortable foot bed, the arch support, and the fact that they do not seem to make my feet look huge!

Love, love this shoe; BUT after walking in it 3 days and on flight home it stretched out so much I now need very thick socks for fit! I wanted to go no socks. Fits very true to size at first but I will order down ate aft 1/2 size

I really like these shoes but I noticed Born changed the material for the base of the shoe. I've been wearing Born for 10+ years. The new material is a little softer than previous materials. It's okay but I prefer a harder shoe base as I tend to overpronate and a harder base corrects this a little better.

I am on my feet for long hours in the OR. The shoes can be easily cleaned, breathe well, and have some stretch due to the leather. They are more comfortable than Dansko's but I would still prefer more arch support and more cushion. I still need to stand on a princess pad on longer days. Overall I am happy with the shoes but for extended cases I think I still prefer my athletic shoes.

I just received these. The length is great, but they are narrow across the arch. Will these stretch with wear? They feel comfortable and look nice. My thought is to wear them around the house a bit to see if they will stretch, but if they don't for others, I'll send them back.

This shoe has a wide front for those of us with a wider foot and narrow heel. I got exactly what I needed in this shoe as far as comfort and style when being on my feet all day for work.

Wish I had gone done a half size. They are very comfortable right out of the box. I need to wear thick socks to keep them from slipping off my heel. Which makes for hot feet. Too late to exchange since I already wore them.

Love these clogs, probably because there is adequate arch support. I also find these shoes very comfortable since they look like clogs, but have a closed back. That way I'm not twisting my ankle with the the clogs where your heel can easily slip out. I bought these in brown and black. Perfect for fall weather. I use a shoe horn with them so the backs of them aren't compromised. They are also less heavy and clunky than the Dansko brand.

I liked these shoes - they fit well and were comfortable out of the box. But I am on my feet a lot and they didn't last well - about one winter. Have had better luck durability-wise with Danskos and when you are in this price range for a pair of shoes, I want them to last a while. So while I liked the feel and look a bit more than Dansko's but can't give them more than 3 stars.

I really wanted to like these. I did try them on in the store and the 7 was too small, so I ordered a 7.5 which is my normal shoe size. Unfortunately when these arrived they were too big and I felt myself gripping the ground too tightly with my toes and unable to take normal steps (smaller stride) to compensate for the heel wanting to slide off. Also, I would not recommend these for anyone with a normal or flat foot, as the arch support was very high and too excessive for my normally arched foot; it was not comfortable.

As a teacher on my feet all day, these shoes are a comfort. The sole however is loud -- you can hear me coming from a mile away -- and as other customers have previously noted, after about nine months of daily use, each sole has completely cracked in half, right across the ball of the foot. For the price, one should get more than nine months of wear out of them. It's a shame, because they're so comfortable.

I really wanted to love these shoes, however, that just wasn't the case. I have quite narrow feet and they were almost too narrow for me. I really expected them to be more comfortable. They hurt the sides and top of my feet and my heels as well. Another problem is the sole. They are made of hard plastic of some sort with very little texture and are quite slippery. I can't imagine trying to wear them in the winter.

I really like Born, and the Toby style in particular. The main issue I have is that the sole starts to peel apart until the entire sole is the texture of a sponge and soaks up water and pulls it into the shoe. I had a teal pair that I bought at Nordstrom and I wore them almost daily. The sole started to peel away in strips until I had to get them totally resoled. Then I bought another pair in black, because I thought it might have been a fluke, and they are so comfortable. Alas, they are totally done. I can't even get them to dry out.
