My son loves those boots! He is 6 and we live in Canada, so lightweight that he calls the boots "Speedy", can run fast, something that he was not able to do in other boots. The only negative I can think of is that they may not be very waterproof in case of snow.

This is the fourth pair of North Face boots I've bought for my 12 year old daughter. I keep buying them because they keep her feet warm and mostly dry (a previous pair had a minor leak) in our cold Chicago winters. I was thrilled to see Zappos had them in a Youth size 7, which is about a Woman's size 9, for her growing feet. It saved me from having to spend more for the North Face Woman's boots. Fast to put on and take off, which is a plus when they only have minutes at school to change out of them. Highly recommend.

Definately order a size up for sure. They run on the small side. Overall the boots are made well and are super warm.

I actually bought these boots for me (women's size 8½) not my son! I wanted lightweight pull-on boots for taking the dogs out or jumping in the car take the kids to school and to do quick errands. These boots fit the bill! I have tall suede weatherproof boots and heavy rubber snow boots by The North Face too. I like the simple design of their products, the Nuptse included! I cannot speak about how the boots would stand up if worn by an active young boy, but one downside might be that it's difficult to cinch the top so deep snow does not get in. In a light snowfall or under snow pants, that is probably not an issue.

My eight year old son loved these booties last winter and though I have some doubts I will most likely get them for him again. On the positive, they are light weight, easy to slip on and off and quite warm. However, the quality leaves a lot to be desired: Already after a week or two, the seams came loose and a few weeks later the fabric broke leaving a hole in the toe area of the boot. Eventually, I got some really strong glue and pasted it all back together. That made them last through the winter even if it did not look pretty. They were sold out everywhere or I would have gotten a second pair. Overall, I think they lasted some three months and I glued them after about two months of daily wear. Even so, the positives outweigh the negatives. My son simply loved them and refused to wear anything else. I will probably get them again this year. Maybe even two pairs.

Look great and comfortable and my kid loved them but they did not finish out the season without ripping - not very sturdy.

Popular with my son because they were so lightweight, but they did not wear well. One winter season did them in with a hole in the fabric upper. I would not consider it bad quality for a throw-away boot, but if you expect more than a few months of wear from them you will be disappointed.

Horrible boot! I am so disappointed with this product. Within one month of minimal wear they have shredded at the seam, making them unwearable for my son. In Wisconsin, I am now scrambling to find him a nice boot just to wear to the bus! I was hoping to pass these down! Paying this much for a boot to last a month is less than acceptable. I have gotten him boots at Walmart that were better quality. If your looking for a great boot, these are not them!

These boots are great. They are super lightweight and easy to slip on and off. This is my 13 year old daughter's second pair.

I am a young woman 23. and I purchased these for myself. they are extremely light and comfortable as well as warm and waterproof. I am very happy they are great and the price is spectacular.

My son is thrilled with theses boots. They were light weight yet very warm and keep his feet dry. They are very comfortable and easy to get on.

Great shoe for trekking around new york city in the cold. great for walking and keeping warm. I bought a pair for each of my sons and didn't get one complaint about sore feet or cold toes.

This boot is great! It's warm, comfy, & most important it is not a heavy boot so my son can wear them to school & still run around.

What can I say? I bought these for my son and when they arrived they were too small for him...but these marshmallow feeling delights fit me just fine. I bought him a different pair of winter boots and kept these for me! So many of the girls at my college who wear those Uther boots have asked about them, I may be starting a new trend!

My son loves it! He is 8 years old. They are comfortable and lightweight - easy take on and off. I wash them in the washing machine and they look like new again and again.

These boots are great! Super lightweight and they are flexible through the ankle...no more stiff ankle walk. My son says his feet stay warm, too! I would recommend ordering a size up. My son normally wears a 13 or 13.5, but I had to order him a size 2 in these boots.

This is my third year buying these boots for my son. He is so picky about how his shoes feel and he loves these. He wears them all winter playing in the snow and never complains about being cold. They hold up well and I pass them on every year!

Perfect kids boot! My son and daughter both now have a pair. They are very light weight and warm. Being so light weight makes them so much easier to carry back and forth in backpacks to school. My son loves that they are the first snow boot he can run in comfortably. The girls pink ones my daughter has and they are so cute, she gets comments every time she wears them. When they outgrow them I plan to buy more in larger size.

These boots are wonderful, very lightweight. My grandson tried them on to see if they fit, they were perfect. He is 9 and wears a size 2 shoe. I bought a size 3 boot, and they were fine. Your children will love wearing these.
